I would like to thank the officers and committee of the society for their kind invitation to judge at their show and the stewards who kept the ring running smoothly through the day.

 GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTER

P (5,2a) 1 & BP, Angus’ Edelmidpoint Silhouette for Sparkenhoe; Well-made 7 month old bitch just the right size for her age. Well-muscled with quality bone and tight feet she moved well once settled. 2 Cooke & Hammond’s Seasham Show Me The Way; 9 month old dog with some maturing to do as you’d expect at this age. Masculine head with well set ears and strong neck. He has sufficient bone tight feet and moved OK. 3 Adams’ Keigame Mystique Aurora

PG (2,1) 1 & RBOB, Cooke & Hammond’s Seasham Jingle Jangle JW;13 month old dog who has ring presence, with an appealing head and strong neck. Well made all through with good depth of body, strong loin and with quality bone. He moved with drive on tight feet. 2 Merritt’s Spreant Chocolate Cosmos JW. 3 year old pretty bitch with feminine head and typical outline stacked. Shown in good condition with sufficient bone she was a little loose on the move today.

O (4) 1 & BOB, Adams’ Tequesta Poldark JW; This dog has quality written all over him. Masculine head with eyes of the correct shape and colour. Beautifully constructed front and good depth of body with strong loin and topline. He moved like he owed the ring on tight feet sympathetically handled to advantage. Delighted to award him Grp 1 and later hear he had gone BIS. 2 Angus’ Keigame Hearts Desire of Sparkenhoe (AI) JW; Bitch with pretty head and good angles fore and aft. Well-muscled, with sufficient bone and sound moving on nice feet. 3 Russell’s Fraulynzway Lightning Bolt JW

IRISH SETTER

P (3) 1 BP & RBOB, Ashley-Turner’s Riverbrue The Joker; Very promising 7 month old dog puppy with appealing head and who is balanced with good depth of body, lovely bone and in a quality coat. Sound and positive on the move. 2 Harrison’s Clonageera Summer Dreams at Millpoint; 7 month old bitch puppy with feminine head, good reach of neck and matching front and rear angles. Nice depth of body and in great coat, difficult to assess her movement as she was unhappy with the floor in this class. 3 Tippett & Hurman’s Empyreansky Varga Venus Luck

O (4,3) 1 & BOB, Corless’ Swiftlark Spellbinder.a 5 year old mature dog with masculine head and intelligent expression, good reach of neck. Pleasing angles fore and aft with correct topline held on the move. Sympathetically handled he really look the part in his full coat powering round the ring.

PG (5,3) 1 & RBOB, Harrison’s Millpoint Watson;12-month-old dog who is well grown. Pleasing head with kind expression. Well put together with good bone and tight feet. Covered plenty of ground on the move. 2 Stilgoe & Fox’s Teisgol Alochomora A pretty bitch who is a different type to 1. Feminine head and muscular neck into well-made front. Well angled rear with nice turn of stifle. No so positive on the move as 1.

O (4,1) 1 & BOB, Stilgoe & Fox’s Teisgol Snow Queen JW; Pretty bitch with lovely head and well-set neat ears. Muscular neck and pleasing front construction. Deep chest and covering the ground on tight feet. 2. Matthews’ Sonham C’est La Vie; Another pretty bitch with typical head and dark eyes. Long neck and beautifully balanced. Sound ground covering movement. 3 Harrison’s Millpoint Hearts On Fire

RETRIEVER (GOLDEN)

P (4,1) 1 BP & RBOB, Riley’s Wylloch Paddington Bear; A beautiful short coupled dog puppy with handsome head, dark eyes and good pigment. Soundly made all through, with correct topline, a quality jacket, neat catlike feet and a short tail. Positive and sound on the move. Delighted to later award him PG1. 2 Clarke-Gear’s Dewmist Danaztore with Ousevale (Imp Swe); Longer cast dog puppy with much to like, masculine head, good pigment and strong neck and soundly made with strong loin. He was entered in a number of classes, different runners having varying levels of success in achieving the movement I was looking for. 3 Kelleher’s Waveneymist Happisburgh

J (2) 1 Scott-Briggs’ Largymore Ravagier; Mid gold dog of a nice size with pleasing head and correctly set neat ears. Muscular neck into well-made front, level topline, short loin and good turn of stifle. He has a well-set tail and covered the ground on the move. 2 D Danaztore with O.

PG (4) 1 & BOB, L Ravagier; 2 Law’s Shebelta Sweet Home Alabama; A well put together dog who scores for his size. Handsome head and lovely dark eye, correctly set ears and good pigmentation. Level topline and strong loin with nice turn of stifle and tight feet. Not so positive on the move today. 3 D Danaztore with O.

O (3) 1 D Danaztore with O; 2 Wallington’s Wynrita School Daze; A very appealing and typical dog who was in full coat and looked a picture stacked. Masculine head and good reach of neck. Level topline and short tail. 3 Staniland’s Bermary Sweet Child Of Mine

J (4,1) 1 Edwards’ Frewlings Justin Rose at Bearstone; Black dog with appealing head dark eyes and lovely neat eyes. Strong neck into well-made front with depth and fore chest. Square loin, well off for bone and tight feet. Moved well once settled. 2 Young’s Potterspiney Ahsoka Tano; Pretty yellow bitch who is well made all through and has much to like. Just didn’t have the reach and drive of 1 today. 3 Foster’s Rochevale Beal.

PG (8,2) 1 Young’s Potterspiney My Sovereign; Yellow dog of 15 mths masculine head without any courseness well set ears and good pigment. Strong neck and pleasing angles fore and aft. In good coat and condition and sound moving. 2 F Justin Rose at B; 3 Edwards’ Chelmscote One To Remember.

AVNSC GUNDOG

P (4,2) 1 & BP, Turner’s Gemswin My Life at Artois, F/c Ret;Bitch with typical outline. Pretty had end well set neat ears. Good length of neck and well made with nice bone and well-set tail. Moved OK just needs to gain confidence. 2 Darby’s Crumpsbrook Anneke to Incadar, Munsterlander. Bitch who is typical in head and has good reach of neck. She is soundly put together but still needs to deepen in body. She has lovely neat feet and was sympathetically handled.

J (7,4) 1 Westall & Ward’s Kincsem Private Dancer, Vizsla; With beautiful head kind eye and expression. Strong neck into well-made front and matching rear angles. Short loin, nice bone and tight feet completing the picture. Handled to advantage to produce sound ground covering movement. 2 Burchell’s Flavour of Tokaj Azu Suchy Las Vegas to Tivalake (Imp Pol), Toller; Soundly made and very typical with much to like she did not match the movement of 1. 3 Arnold & Dobson’s Roughyeds Regal George at Treecave. Curly

PG (5,2) 1 Burchell’s Oryxes Kissing The Waves on Tivalake (imp Can), Toller; With correctly shaped head and well-set ears. Soundly made all through with prominent fore chest and fine fettle she used her tail on the move. 2 Ward’s Glenbrows Flame for Tantaraviz, WSS; With a very pretty head dark eye and kind expression. Adequate front angles and level topline. Moved well she is in lovely condition and was well handled. 3 Flavour of Tokaj Azu Suchy Las Vegas to T.

O (14,9) 1 & BNSC, Cokell, Nicklin & Ainsley’s Carlyquinn Winter Storm JW, ESS; Scores in head with kind eyes and square muzzle. So well put together with good depth of chest and square loin. Moved with reach and drive. 2 Ward’s Sh Ch Danton Obsession with Tantaraviz ShCEx, Vizsla; With beautiful head kind eye and expression, so balanced and free moving. 3 Leach’s Islanza Hey Dude, WSS.

A.V. GUNDOG VETERAN (14,5) 1 West’s Sheigra Stars In Her Eyes JW OSW ShCEx, Cocker; Beautifully made merry black cocker. With correctly shaped head dark eyes and gentle expression. Muscular neck into well-made shoulders. Level topline and typical movement. 2 Harrison’s M Hearts On Fire; Pointer Bitch who is very typical head and soundly put together which is reflected in her ground covering movement. 3 Fox’s Phlynnies Catch Me If You Can of Dappleline, Pointer.

GUNDOG GROUP G1 GSP; 2 ESS; 3 Labrador; 4 Cocker,West’s Sheigra Simply A Star JW. A beautifully made and merry black cocker. Lovely head correct eye shape and intelligent expression. Strong neck into well-made body with level topline and sound moving.

PUPPY GROUP PG1 Golden Ret; 2 GSP; 3 Cocker, Terry’s Shaggylands Midnight Train; Masculine headed dog with well-constructed front and sound and ground covering mover. 4 Irish Setter
