I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and for the wonderful hospitality and thankyou to the exhibitors for their entries. It was an enjoyable day and I had some lovely dogs to judge today.
Alaskan Malamute. Puppy (3,0) 1. S Hooley, Bartkennels Ljosalfar, 11mth B, sweet pup with good head proportions, firm moderately arched neck, correct angulated shoulders into well boned forelegs, short and upright pasterns. Deep chest, straight and gently sloping back, loin muscle developing well, well developed hindquarters and correct tail carriage, movement was ground covering and with drive, BP. 2 S Hooley, Bartkennels Magic Soho 11mth B, Litter sister to the winner and very similar comments, was not as settled on the moved but once settled I saw the same ground covering gait, both dogs a credit to their breeder. 3. Patrick & Ashman’s Okinastar Destiny Calling at Coldasice. Special Yearling (3,1) 1 Perfitt’s Samjoe Seelie Queen 22mth B Super head with gently rounded skull between well set ears, good bite. Strong slightly arched neck flowing into a strong and gently sloping topline. Fore quarters had good bone and strong upright pasterns whilst the correctly angulated hindquarters powered this lovely young girl round the ring. 2 Hooley’s Black Stripe at Dokkalfar 20mth D, Good powerful head with no coarseness, correct bite and lovely dark eye, Excellent bone with good angulation fore and hind, strong upright pasterns and strong back with correct topline and tailset, well muscled. A lot to like about this lad, not quite there on the movement today. Limit (1,0) 1 Perfitt’s Samjoe Shaddow Hunter 21mth D Striking boy, everything to like about him. Good strong head with dark almond shaped eyes and correct bite, strong moderately sloping forelegs and good bone to forelegs with upright and strong pasterns, good topline and deep chest with well muscled loins and hindquarters which had the correct angulations, coat in good condition, moved with balance and drive. BOB. Open (1,0) Perfitt’s Samjoe From Russia With Love B Liked this lady when she came into the ring, beautiful outline on the stack, Super head and expression, strong neck, moderately arched flowing into correctly angled shoulders. Good bone on forelegs and strong upright pasterns and tight feet, strong topline and loins with deep chest, well angulated and muscled hind quarters which she used in a rhythmical ground covering gait. RBOB Bernese Mountain Dog. Puppy (2,1) 1 Oskevabern Hellraiser B, 10mth, Lovely young lady, beautiful melting expression form dark almond shaped eyes, strong skull with well defined stop and straight muzzle, firm medium length neck flows into strong sloping shoulders with good angulation, forlegs of good bone and beautifully straight all round with gentle slope to the pasterns, good breadth of chest and deep brisket, firm loins and straight topline, hindquarters well angulated and hock strong. Lovely tight feet. Coat in good condition and shone in the sunshine today. Good reaching stride showing a balanced gait and drive. Although she stood alone today, she was indeed a very worthy winner of not only BP but also BOB. Sp Yearling 0 entries. Limit 0 entires. Open (1,1) Rottweiler. Puppy (1,0) 1 Coltrana Call My Bluff D 10mth, unbelievably this was this pups first show, I watched this lad walk into the ring and was so impressed by his confident manner. He did not disappoint on examination. A superb head with broad skull into slightly arched forehead, good cheek development, dark almond eyes, well set pendant ears, good stop and strong muzzle with correct bite, good length of slightly arched neck with was strong and flowed into well laid back shoulders, forelegs of good bone and straight with good muscle development, deep chest and well sprung rib with strong loin and level topline, strongly muscled and well angulated hindquarters with well bent hocks. Good coat. His muscle strength showed when moving around the ring for one so young, hocks remained strong when moving away and forelegs straight on the return, his gait was ground covering and had good unrestricted drive. BP & BOB Sp Yearling (1,0) 1 Topham & Maltas Virlees Infatuation B 12mth. Another lovely young dog, beautiful expression, liked her markings which along with her dark almond eyes gave her a gentle yet self assured expression. Broad skull and correct placement of pendant ears, good cheek development, defined stop and deep muzzle with correct bite, Good length of neck into well laid shoulders leading to strong well boned forelegs and good pasterns, correct depth of brisket and well sprung ribs with firm loins, topline level which she held on the move, hindquarters had good angulation and again with good tone to the muscles. Coat shone. Moved with drive in a relaxed gait that covered the ground with ease. RBOB. Limit (1,0) 1 Featherstone’s Kenxtwen Sweet Diamond by Featherttor B, Well proportioned and correct head with lovely expression and dark eye, good length of neck, correct shoulders and well boned forelegs, pasterns slightly sloping, good topline and depth of chest and strong loin, hindquarters had good angulation and hocks, tight feet and coat in good condition, moved well with an even stride, would have liked a bit more drive but it was very hot today. Open 0 entires Doberman, Puppy (2,0) 1 Seward & Mycroft’s Supeta’s Sky’s The Limit With Elleonia B 8mth. Such an elegant little lady, Superb head, long with deep muzzle and dark almond eye earset correct, Long neck flowing into withers with well angulated shoulder, forelegs correctly proportioned and straight with strong upright pasterns and tight feet. Good forechest short, firm back with level sloping topline which she held on the move, well developed croup, hindquarters had good angulation with toned muscles for such a young lady which she used to perfection on the move to show her effortless gait with hindquarters powering her around the ring BP & RBOB. 2, Beck’s Sacarias Blue Jean Baby At Bekesha B 6mth. Not a lot between these two puppies, both very elegant in outline and this young lady also showing a correctly proportioned sleek head, dark eye and good ear set, Long flowing neck and correct angulation in the shoulders and good straight bone in the forelegs with strong upright pasterns, level topline, deep chest and short loin, good croup and well angulated hindquarters with good muscle development, tight cat like feet finishing off the elegance in her outline. Movement was good with correct action of hindquarters, Sp Yearling 0 entries. Limit (1,0) 1 Kent & Sutton. Korifey Reckless JW D 19mth. Caught my eye as he walked into the ring as if he owned it. Beautiful outline showing quality from every angle. If there was a dog I would have liked to smuggle into my car, this was the one. Long clean cut head with good depth to his muzzle with dark almond shaped eyes, good earset, complete scissor bite. Overall showing an intelligent expression. Long neck flowing into the withers with no hint of loose skin, correctly angled shoulder, strong yet elegant straight forelegs with upright pasterns and tight feet, well developed forechest, deep brisket, well sprung ribs and level slightly sloping topline, strong loin. Hind quarters correctly angulated and legs parallel with well bent stifle and strong hocks. A balanced mover who covered the ground with ease and drive BOB. Newfoundland. Puppy (2,0) 1 Watsons Newfangled Yes You Did B 8mth. Super little girl, sweet expression from dark eyes, correctly proportioned skull and well shaped muzzle, good bite. Good length of neck flowing into the withers onto well set shoulders with well developed muscle and tight elbows, good straight forelegs and tight feet, level topline and deep chest, rounded ribs and toned loin, hindquarters correctly angled and hind legs were parallel with good hocks. Coat thick and in good condition and immaculately presented. Lovely mover in all directions with a slightly rolling gait that covered the ground with ease, one to watch for sure BP. 2 Leech’s Mileoak Hubble Bubble D 9mth. Handsome boy with broad skull and well set ears, well shaped nose of correct proportions and good bite, strong neck flowing into shoulder of good angulation, forelegs have excellent bone, good muscle tone, straight and parallel, good pasterns and feet, Level topline and good spring to rib, would like to have seen more depth of brisket as not quite there at the moment in his development, loins were firm and hindquarters well angulated with good muscle development, again hind legs parallel with firm hocks. Good thick coat of correct type. Moved well with ground covering strides, another one with a good career ahead of him. Sp Yearling (3,2) 1 Watson’s Newfangled Don’t You Dare D 20mth. Gorgeous head on this fella from the shape of his skull to the shape and depth of his muzzle with dark eye and correct bite, strong neck flowing into the withers on top of well angled and toned shoulders, forelegs straight, well boned and parallel good pasterns and tight well shaped feet, Level topline which he held beautifully on the move, firm loin good spring of rib and depth of brisket. Hindquarters have well developed muscling and correct angulation and again her the hind legs were parallel with strong hocks. Moved with drive covering the ground with ease, glorious coat and presented in immaculate condition RBOB. Limit (3,1) 1 Steels, Nurnurgnewf Ironman D. Lovely Masculine head good breadth with well developed occipital bone short muzzle with good depth of flew giving that square look, correct dentition, Good strong neck and correctly angled shoulders with plenty of bone in the foreleg, pasterns slightly sloping and feet slightly soft today. Good topline and deep chest, strong loin and well muscled and angulated hind quarters. Good thick coat. Moved with ground covering gait although a little bum high when moving. 2 Watson’s Barachois Chim Chim Cheree. B Very pretty girl presented in immaculate condition. Well proportioned head with good ear set and correct scissor bite, Good neck and well angulated shoulders into straight and well boned forelegs good pasterns, level topline held on the move, deep chest and good length of loin, hind quarters of correct angulation although would like to have seen a little more muscle development. Excellent coat type and condition, Movement had a good gait but not quite the drive as the winner today. Open (5,3) 1 Crosier’s Nurbergnewf Cayman, D. Very handsome lad, good masculine head with lovely dark eye, correct muzzle and good dentition, strong neck flowing into withers to well laid shoulders with good muscle tone. Forelegs of strong muscle and well boned and straight, good feet. Level topline deep brisket and good spring of rib, toned loins. Hindquarters having good muscle and correct angulations, legs parallel and hocks strong. Moved freely but with plenty of drive from his rear powerhouse showing a slightly rolling gait while maintaining that strong topline. BOB. 2 Steels Nurbergnewf Beamer, B. Litter sister to the winner of this class. Lovely expression in a correctly proportioned head, lovely dark eye and good bite, correct earset, good length of neck and correct angulation of shoulder with straight, well boned forelegs, strong pastern and good feet. Good depth of brisket and well sprung ribs, would have liked a better topline. Hindquarters well angulated with hind legs parallel and good hocks, lacking the muscle development I would have liked, moved well but not with quite the style of her brother today.
