Scunthorpe Canine Association Open Show 21st August 2024

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at this well organised show. We were lucky with the weather too. Thanks to the stewards, Gary Southgate and Liz Beal. All temperaments were exceptional with correct bites in both breeds. Thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me to judge your lovely hounds.

1. Hardy & Hallam’s Tokaji Memphis Belle – 20m old red and white bitch. A bit of a handful for her handler today. Nonetheless, presented a beautiful shape when stood. Pretty head of correct proportions, clean cheeks with dark almond shaped eye. Good, balanced angulations front and rear with a short level back. Good muscle tone. Settled enough to show her lovely easy gait around the ring. RBOB

1. Morland’s Zoraden Gossip Girl 11m old bitch – a super balanced, elegant bitch which the eye just flows over. Presented in excellent condition both in coat and muscle tone. Feminine head of correct proportions. Good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Deep chest with a nice rise over loin. Good feet. She excelled when on the move showing an effortless, fluid gait. Attentive to her handler who showed her to gain the best out of her today. A super girl. I later learned this win gave her the final points for her JW – congratulations! RBOB BPIB PHG2
