LICHFIELD CANINE SOCIETY PREMIER OPEN SHOW. 7/01/24 SKYE TERRIERS Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered. Thank you also to my steward Bruce who looked after me so well. At my first appointment I was delighted with the entry of 18 dogs. Fifteen dogs were present on the day and overall were well presented. I felt that several of the dogs were lacking in flesh over their ribs and that in a couple of cases teeth could have been cleaner. Puppy 0 Junior 2,2 1 Cox Silverbriar Imogen to Petit Paws 17 mth old black prick ear bitch. Good length and low to ground. Good bite and balanced head with correct ear set. Long neck leading into good shoulders. Rib to loin balance good. Still immature and coat still needs to develop fully. Moved well. 2 McLeod Esgia Cry Freedom 17 mth old black drop ear bitch. Good length of neck. Deep chest, level topline with good length of rib. Not quite as settled on the move as 1. Post graduate 4,4 1 Shuttleworth &Whincup. Wondersky Wish You Were Here At Whicheeta. (Imp USA) 22 mth old dark bitch. Nicely balanced head with good bite. Correctly set ear. Good length of neck with good shoulders and front assembly. Long, level and low to ground. Well presented and moved with ease and grace around the ring. She is maturing nicely, and I will watch her progress with interest. RBOB 2 De Leie Verumamicus Cicero with Castrumskye. 2 ½ year old cream dog. Strong head and good front. Correct bite. Level topline with good depth of rib. Was a bit unsettled at times on the move due to loud banging by departing exhibitors. 3 Mason Bhatairnis Fasach Open 12,9 This was a large class with many quality dogs. 1 Kendrick Ch Frisco Kiaora at Jeraro (Imp CZE). 7 ½ year old black dog. Good head and long crested neck with deep chest. Good length of rib and level topline. Meets the 3 L’s – long, low, level. Excellent coat well presented and moved effortlessly around the ring. Pleased to award BOB. 2. Shuttleworth Whicheeta Walk the Walk 4 ½ year old grey dog. Well balanced head with good front assembly. Long neck nicely crested.
