Firstly, I’d like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and to all the exhibitors who entered and showed under me. Having not judged for several years; I was overjoyed at my entry.

Pointers

Puppy (5,1)

1st, Meadowpoint Hocus Pocus.

9 month old Liver and White B. I’ve watched her ringside since she made her debut and was excited to get my hands on her. She didn’t disappoint! Beautiful head with a cheeky glint to her eyes. Nicely arched neck into well laid-back shoulders. Beautiful smooth movement covering plenty of ground holding her topline. BPIB

2nd, Riowood Tick Tick Boom to Sharnphilly NAF TAF

6 month old Black and White B. So typical from this kennel. So close to 1, she was just giving way to maturity today. Plenty of substance. Beautiful head, going into a long muscular neck and laid-back sloping shoulders. Not as settled on the move compared to 1 but probably down to the sandy surface of the arena, never less still showing correct smooth ground covering movement.

1st Meadowpoint Hocus Pocus. Repeat of Puppy.

2nd Hawkfield Happy Times

11 months old Orange and White B. Half-sister to 1. Aristocratic head with alert expression that is typical for the pointer. Kind eye. Long muscular neck. Well let down brisket. Plenty of bone still with femininity. Moved better in Junior as more settled.

Post Graduate (7,4)

1st Freebreeze Special Effects JW

2 year old Orange and White B. A series of graceful curves definitely describes this bitch. No mistaking her gender, she is all girl. Refined head going into a long sloping neck. Well sprung ribs gradually falling away at the loins. Moved with true driving hind quarters. BOB

2nd Brent Deville’s Advocate at Owlspoint (AI)

18 month old Black and White D. Having watched him ringside, this dog doesn’t always give it is all and gives his very patient handler a hard time. Today, I felt he ‘got it together’. He has a lovely head with a bright and alert expression. He is well balanced, shorter neck than 1 but still enough. Long striding movement covering plenty of ground.

1st Morgan Van Freebreeze (IMP NLD) ShCEx

5 year old Orange and White B. She possesses a noble head with a ‘look at me’ eye that kept catching my eye. She has a long muscular neck, well laid-back shoulders. Beautiful curvy bitch. She moved with purpose looking like she could do a days work.

2nd Dappleline Chance for Anniezu

4 year old Orange and White D. Another that really gives his owner a hard time and doesn’t always cooperate. He is a balanced dog, flowing and curvy. Alert and kind expression. Plenty of bone. Good chest with plenty of heart room. Sound mover.
