Firstly, I’d like to thank the GRC of Northumbria for inviting me to judge their breed open show. My thanks to my stewards Trevor and Janet for keeping the ring running smoothly. Although not a huge entry due to other shows on the same day nearby, the overall quality of the entry was excellent.

1st Wright’s PALTON PANETELA. Approaching 11 years but not giving much away. I very much liked his head which is well balanced and chiselled with dark pigment and a biddable expression. His neck is strong and proportional in length and he carries a level topline. Stood square on very neat, strong feet. Moved soundly and accurately coming and going.

1st Henderson & Towers’ BARICIA BELLA DIVINO. 9 months old in a dense cream coat. Well balanced heat with dark pigment. Strong neck of good length flowing into his well laid back shoulders. Correct in forechest and good length of upper arm. He’s deep through the chest with well sprung ribs and level topline. Correct tailset and he carried his tail level on the move. Moved on a good length of stride when he settled. Best Puppy Dog
2nd Ritson’s BARICIA BELLA DOLCE. Litter brother to 1, slightly behind his brother in maturity but very typical for his age. He has a well balanced head with dark pigment and a soft expression. Good length of neck leading and strong topline with correct depth of chest and clean elbows. Stands square on strong catlike feet. Would like to see a little more bend of stifle which he will likely drop into as he matures. Moved soundly, holding his profile.
