1st Knowles - Sarawana Dragon’s Conquest (B) Stood alone in this single-entry class but that didn’t detract from her super quality. Lovely size for a pup, nice headset, exceptionally clean teeth, good ear set, strong feminine neck into good front assembly, moved well coming and going.

Post Graduate 2:0a

1st Knowles – Sarawana Dragon’s Rising (B) Another super quality pup from this handler. All the same attributes as Junior bitch but excelled on her movement. Pleased to award this promising young bitch BoB and BP on the day.

2nd Brierley – Woodella Reasons Unknown (D) Larger frame and more mature at 3years of age. Unfortunately ring inexperience and distractions on a noisy, rainy windy small outdoor ring proved too much for him today and his overall movement suffered.

1st Knowles - Ch Bushwacker Dragon Tattoo at Sarawana JW (B) Lots too like about this 4year old bitch, perfect for size, lovely head and expression, good ear set, correct eyes, front and drove around the ring in style, no surprise to see she was the dam of the two previous class winners and today was outshone in the challenge by her daughter from PG.

1st Taylor – Erylan Pois De Senteur For Nottorg IR Jun Ch CJW24 (B) Bouncy very excitable young 18mth bitch. Good head set, clean teeth, good front and rear angulations, carried her tail well, holding her topline in her true movement around the ring. Picture perfect on the stack in the challenge, pleased to award her the BoB today.

1st Townsend – Overbecks Esme Shelby at Roxastan (B) coming upto 2yrs of age, good all-round steady dog for her handler. All round attributes like Junior bitch but not quite the movement but worthy of 1st place in this class.

1st Townsend – Afterglow Curtain Call Avec Roxastan (D) 4Yr old dog, sound construction, lovely deep eye colour, clean teeth, good front and rear angulation, held its topline on its steady move around the ring, just didn’t match the drive of the BB.

Junior 3:2a

1st Middleton Kamgaard Kadence at Graythor (B) Just under 12mth old bitch, good headset, clean teeth, good ear set, dark pigmentation, picture perfect on the stack, excelled going and coming but a touch unsteady on the move round the ring today. BP

Post Graduate 3:1a

1st Middleton Graythor Broadway (D) 18mth old dog, good front/rear angulation, strong head set, excelled coming/going and plenty of drive around the ring which gave him the class and breed today. BoB

2nd Middleton – Graythor Monteray Jack (D) 18mth old dog, unsettled and unable to inspect teeth, another affected by the weather, ring/tent noise I suspect. Stronger in general than 1st placed dog but not matching the drive of the winner today.

1st Zhao’s Vkloof Duke Lambo Galardo. (D) Just inside 12mths of age masculine dog, stunning head set with strong neck into well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm, correct symmetrical ridge. Strong oval bone. Good underline leading to good, muscled hindquarters. Presented a better topline on the move than in profile but shown enough to take this class and BP.

2nd McIntosh & Mackfall Chagall Iona with Attitude (B) 7mth old female bitch, good strong feminine headset, correct ridge, movement just suffered today with her exuberance to drive around the small uneven outdoor ring.

Junior 3:0a

1st McIntosh & Mackfall Chagall Iona with Attitude (B). 2nd time in the ring and now her movement had settled to take this class on her stunning feminine head set and her drive around the ring, this time with vigour and drive without fault.

2ND Cyprien, Porter Willunat Honeybush Clouds Novel Princess Zola with Jocerik JW (imp Deu) (B)

18mth bitch, Good head and neck into her forequarters with good fill-in although would like a little more depth of chest feminine head set, correct teeth, angulation front/rear not quite what I was looking for, Good strong movement, held her topline on the move.

1ST McIntosh Benicloujam lola of Chagall (B) Just short of 5year old bitch feminine head set, good head and neck into nicely constructed forequarters with good fill-in, good movement around the ring although carried her tail slightly higher than I would have liked but I recorded that as excitement of the ring took over in the moment. BoB

2nd Cyprien Shavano’s Quality of Life by Indie JW (imp Nor) (B) Another quality but older almost 6year old bitch, one that I have admired from the ring side many times before and her overall structure was good underhand on the examination, her movement around the ring was a credit and at one with her handler but just lost out today comparing the front infill, going/coming movement to the winner of this class.

Newsham – Frankie Decuma Via Windspiel (imp CZE) (D) 11Mth old greyhound dog, stunning headset, captured your attention on approach, slightly unsettled on the day making his handler work hard. Perfect clean teeth, correct mouth, dark eye, good ear set, Strong neck into excellent forequarters and good depth of chest. Well ribbed back into strong loin with level topline held well on the move. Well angulated hindquarters. Pleased to award him BP.

1st Dawson Mischran the Sequel for Stubbylee (D) 18mth old Borzoi Strong neck into excellent forequarters and good depth of chest. Well ribbed back into strong loin with level topline held well on the move. Shown in stunning condition a real credit to the handler.

Top class of the day for AVNSC, both dogs shown in fantastic show condition, a real credit to the owners.

1st Harwood – Altside too hot to Handle JW (D) Afghan Hound almost 2year old dog and another shown in fantastic condition. Correct teeth, dark eye, long neck into good front angulation. Enough spring of rib, strong loin and good rear angulation, nothing over done which shown in the perfect foot fall coming/going and around the ring. BoB

2nd Dawson Mischran the Sequel for Stubbylee (D

1st Dawson – Stubbylee Chiara Mia (B) Borzoi, again fabulous, conditioned Borzoi in top show condition, excellent front/rear angulation in line with breed standard, on first appearance she looks like she would run effortlessly all day and she proved this on the move around the ring, giving nothing away to her 5years of age. One that I could have taken home without hesitation today. RBoB

2nd Harwood – Krishan Rainbow Warrior (D) Afghan Hound. Correct teeth set, dark eye, strong neck into a good front assembly, holding the topline as he moved around the ring effortlessly.

1st Zhao’s Vkloof Duke Lambo Galardo. (D) Rhodesian Ridgeback Correct sized masculine dog with strong neck into well laid shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Strong oval bone. On the stack showed a good underline leading to well-muscled hindquarters presenting a good topline on the move around the ring.

2nd McIntosh & Mackfall Chagall Iona with Attitude (B).

Veteran: 8:4a

1st Holland Crosscop Brown Eyed Girl (B) Whippet bitch of old school traits, showing her age but still showing in abundance her elegant qualities that a whippet should hold. Caught my eye as she entered the ring and was a joy to go over. Her conformation and condition was superb. Excellent head shape. Flows through her neck into her shoulders and on through her correct topline. Super underline and rear quarters, shown in great condition. Moved with drive and reach in front to take this class.

2nd Knowles Ch Tokaji Klassic Trickster at Sarawana (D) 7.5 years old Basenji tall tricolour boy. Good head proportions displaying quite the expression on the table. Excellent short back, strong topline and a good leggy appearance.

3rd Searle Quick Silver he’s the one for Whipsearle VW

Special Beginners 5:3:a

1st Searle&Rawlinson Reffton Tibalt at Whipsearle JW (imp esp) (D). A whippet I have judged as a pup and given top placings too. Not much changes here then as he takes 1st place, a correct size but more mature now and showing good progress having matured in front assembly. Super-size, shape and muscle condition. Well-constructed all-through presenting a very pleasing side profile. Handsome head which has satisfying shape and proportions and good expression. moved well with enthusiasm, the better of the class.

2nd Zhao’s VKLoof Lady Lambo Huracan (B) A nearly 12-month puppy well presented in hard condition. She is of correct size with pleasing proportions. Strong but feminine head with good ear size and set, and appealing dark round eyes. Strong neck to sloping shoulder and length of upper arm. Elbows neatly under her. compact loin, excellent depth of first and second thigh, hocks well let down. Outline less attractive on the stack but she demonstrated a smooth action on the move, driving well from her rear.
