Puppy Dog (1,0)

1st Playle & Thomas RIPTIDE GENTLEMENS RELISH – 11 mth old male, nice overall shape, touch bum high on topline at the moment, nice shaped skull, with good ear set, could have a touch more stop to finish the picture, and needs to grow into his muzzle which is a touch heavy at the moment, nice width on his front, feet could be a touch straighter, but plenty of time for him to mature, good depth of chest, with good spring of rib, and short loin, nice turn of stifle, used the ring on the move, just needs a touch more drive to complete the picture on the profile, touch loose on front on the up and down. Pleased to award him Best Puppy in Show

1st Royles BATTSROCK ARE YOU READY – 3 yr old male, nice overall shape & size, lovely head piece, with good skull, well shaped eye and good ear set, good stop and strong muzzle, nice width on front, with good depth, good spring of rib, holding a good topline, could have a touch more width of stifle, carried tail high, touch close on rear movement, but nice profile movement with drive.

Open Dog (2,0)

1st Rigbys CHESEPI WACO – 5 yr old dark male, more compact overall, correct head type, with nice eye & expression, nice front with good width, good ribbing & loin, holding a solid topline, nice turn of stifle, touch unsettled on the move, but slightly better on the up and down, nice profile movement, again held tail high. Pleased to award him Best Dog & Best Opposite Sex

2nd Broomfields GLANEILS COUNT ON ME – 4 ½ yr old male, more leggy than 1, another pleasing head, would like a touch more under the eye, nice width of chest, but would like a touch more depth, nice ribbing & loin, topline could be firmer, he has got a nice width of stifle but he can lock it out. Again, another one who held his tail high. But nice profile movement.

Veteran Dog (2,0)

1st Mayhews SH CH/NL CH ARNAC WEATHERDECK BUOY – nearly 9 yr old male, lovely overall shape and balance, lovely head, with good skull, good ear set, but could be a touch smaller, lovely eye & expression, good neck, going into well angulated shoulders, nice depth, just would like a touch more behind the elbow, good spring of rib with short loin, topline could be a touch firmer, pleasing turn of stifle, carried tail high, touch close on the up and down, but lovely profile movement.

2nd Rigbys CHESEPI ULYSSES – 7 yr old male, not as typical for me, but pleasing head shape, good skull, nice ear set, eye lids could be better pigmented, pleasing width, heavy in ribbing & loin, touch bum high, again close on the up and down, and doesn’t drive out on profile.

Puppy Bitch (3,0)

1st Blabers OAKMARSH LAUREL - a trio of litter sisters, who all could change places as they mature. 6 mth old and delightful, this young lady won today on her overall head piece, it was the most mature and together, would like a slightly darker eye, but that will come with age, but lovely skull and ear set, lovely front with enough width for age, good ribbing & loin, touch longer cast at the minute, nice turn of stifle and strong hocks, touch close on the up and down, but nice profile movement, Pleased to award Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

2nd Watts OAKMARSH LITTLE ACORN – litter mate to 1, touch narrower through and would like more definition on head, just needs to broaden more, nice front, just needs to firm up a bit, nice turn of stifle, held good topline on the move. It will be interesting to see how these 3 will change places over the next 12 mths.

3rd Watts, Mellersh-Tett & Mellersh-Tetts OAKMARSH LAND OF PROMISE

Junior (4,0)

1st Middleton & Mayhews ARNAC BAY JELLICOE – nearly 14 mth old young lady, lovely overall shape & balance, head needed a touch more infill to complete the picture, but this will come with age, strong neck, going into well angulated shoulders, nice width on front, good ribbing & loin, holding a good topline & tailset, nice width of stifle, would like a touch more definition on stifle to hock to complete the picture, touch close on the up and down, but flowed around the ring on the profile. Complimented my BIS and so was awarded Reserve Best in Show.

3rd Watts OAKMARSH LITTLE ACORN

Post Graduate (5,2)

1st Watts OAKLEAF MANOR BAY OF OAKMARSH (IMP DEU) JW – just turned 3 yr old, leggier girl but nice profile, with good topline, nice head proportions, well shaped eye, could be a touch darker for preference, strong neck, going into nice front angulation, nice width on front, pleasing spring of rib & loin, holding a good topline for the most part, touch close on the up & down, but nice profile movement.

2nd Tregunnos ARNAC BAY IBIS WDC – nearly 4 yr old, not as balanced as 1, and didn’t have the strength of topline of 1, pleasing skull, and good ear set, would like a toucher more strength of muzzle, good stop, nice width of front, touch more upright in upper arm, pleasing ribbing, would like a touch more width of stifle, needs on drive on the move.

1st Broomfields GLANEILS DON’T WORRY BE HAPPY – 2 ½ yr old, nice size & balance, pleasing skull, would like a touch more stop to complete the picture, nice width on front with good angulation, good spring of rib & short loin, solid topline, nice width of stifle, touch close on the up and down, pleasing on the profile

Open Bitch (2,0)

1st Middleton & Mayhews SH CH ARNAC BAY HEBE WGC ShCEx ew22 – 5 yr old bitch, has everything I was looking for, lovely profile, well balanced, feminine but with substance, super head proportions, with good skull & ear set, lovely eye & expression, strong neck, going into correctly angulated front, with nice width, good spring of rib, and short loin, strong topline, good tail set, nice rear with nice width of stifle, touch close on the rear movement but beautiful profile movement, covering the ground with ease. Pleased to award her Best in Show

2nd Watts OAKMARSH FREEDOM SGWC – 5 yr old bitch, not the balance of 1, would like more strength in head, to body ratio, head proportions were good, with nice eye & expression, nice spring of rib, but touch longer in loin, nice rear quarters with good width of stifle, couldn’t match 1st on the move today.

Veteran Bitch (2,0)

1st Mayhews SH CH ARNAC BAY FLAX – 9 yr old bitch, with good size and balance, another with substance but still holding her feminity, pleasing head with good skull & ear set touch low, pleasing eye & muzzle giving that all important expression, lovely front angles with good width, good spring of rib, touch longer in loin, topline could be a touch firmer, nice rear, with good width of stifle, lovely profile movement. Pleased to award her Best Veteran In Show.

2nd Playle & Thomas ARNAC BAY GREBE WITH RIPTIDE – 8 yr old, bigger bitch but balanced, head a touch plainer, could have a touch more stop for preference, nice front angles, with good width, nice spring of rib & short loin, topline could be firmer, touch over angulated on her rear, and lacked drive.
