JHA 6-11 years. 1 and BJH Connor Morris with a Siberian Husky. Connor worked very nicely with his large breed, he never looked flustered and listened to my instructions well. He freestood his dog to advantage and ran the dog at the correct speed. Very polite and kind with his dog. 2 Phoebe Roberts with a Miniature Smooth-haired Dachshund. Showed a lot of promise with this dog, moved at the correct speed, had good lead control, her triangle and up and down was well executed. Just needs to make sure she knows the breed of dog she is handling and gain a little more ring experience. 3 Iona Gregory with a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. JHA 12-16 years (2a). Adult handling: 17-30 years (2a). 1 Imogen Scotford-Jackson, Labrador. I liked Imogen’s kind and sympathetic handling, always making sure she had one eye on me. Was smartly dressed and had good lead control. She also had a wonderful warm attitude and looked like she really enjoyed competing. 2 Gemma Bradley with a Pug, Gemma stood her dog beautifully in the line-up and on the table, moved her dog at the correct pace with plenty of distance and good lead control. Just pattern work was a little untidy but a very promising handler. 31-45 years: 1 and BAH Rebecca Judd, GSP. A nice handler who works very quickly and efficiently with the set up of her dog, no fuss, and gaits her dog extremely well for its breed. She’s dressed nicely to complement her gundog and is friendly and adaptive to her dog. Well done. A very fluid overall performance. 2 Victoria Norton, Kooikerhondje. She really impressed me from the moment I first saw her in the class, showing such a wonderful bond with her dog, moved the dog with good lead control and distance, just needs to tidy up her pattern work and anatomy. 3 Abigail Gregory, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. 46-59 years: 1 Tanja Mortimer, Norweigan Elkhound. Tanja did an excellent performance and was really impressed because she was handling an 8 month old puppy. An effortless and accurate performance, always keeping an eye on me and answering the anatomy question correctly. She handled the dog so well in the correct breed specific manner. 2 Justine Stratton, Basenji. Another very accomplished performance with such a young dog, really enjoyed watching Justine, she has it all, and really shows her dog off well. Just watch your lines on the pattern work. 3 Patricia Mcmahon with a Weimaraner. 60 years +: Julie Siddons with a Large Munsterlander. Not an easy breed to compete in handling with but Julie had a wonderful rapport with her dog and she was effortless and showed a lot of skill with her handling, really loved watching her on the move with this dog as they moved in motion together. A strong dog but she made it look very easy with accuracy. 2 Janet Rice with a Tibetan Spaniel. Love Janet’s handling and she has such a nice rapport with her dog, she encouraged her dog at all times and did keep one eye on me at all times, pattern work was not as accurate today. 3 Cartiona Anne Price with a Whippet. DALMATIAN: SY (4,1a) 1 Hurst’s Dvojica Firefly For Finnidal. She can sure fly around the ring!
