WINDSOR GUNDOG SOCIETY - OPEN SHOW - KEMPTON RACECOURSE

It was a great pleasure to be asked to judge Pointers at this show, and I would like to thank the club for

its excellent organisation, efficient stewards and first-class venue—my appreciation to all the exhibitors

for their sporting applause of class winners. I love the breed, and being given the opportunity to go over

such lovely dogs made my day.

Lovely class to start the day

1. Hazeltine & Razzell’s COROTINE PRINCE CHARMING - an impressive youngster, L/W, I

particularly liked his head, balanced with stop well defined, kind expressive eyes and wide

nostrils, has strong lengthy pasterns and correct oval bone, excellent head carriage, moving

around the ring with a confident, positive action, well handled.

JUNIOR (4 Entries)

1. Hill’s KANIX SOURDOUGH WITH CALAQUENDI (BEL JCH) 17th, Month dog won this class on his

sound movement and overall balance, masculine head on this O/W, wide nostrils with

well-developed lip, clean neck, muscular slightly arched loin.

2. Wyne-Evans - DROVEBOROUGH FROST QUEEN - this bitch has good overall construction, lovely

head, well-defined stop, fine leathers, well balanced with lovely oval bone, strong well

developed quarters, well let down hocks, movement sound and positive.

1. Welch, Drake & Hazeltine - CLAMERKIN JUBILEE SURPRISE AT HOOKWOOD -such a delightful

bitch to go over, sound and well constructed from nose to tail; liked the way she moved around

the ring with an unexaggerated stride, feminine head with the correct balance between skull and

foreface, lovely expressive eyes, well-defined stop, she excels over the neck and shoulders,

looking so beautifully balanced in profile, strong lengthy pasterns and correct oval bone, lashing

tail on the move, fine short hard coat, pleased to award her BOB, thoroughly deserved, a bitch of

unmistakable quality. She looked so well in the Group, moving with style and lashing tail.

1. Welch, Drake & Hazeltine - Sharnphilly Toggi with Hookwood JW, - another lovely with with

balanced feminine head, good balance between skull and fore face, fine leathers, carries herself

so well on the move, covering the ring with a free easy stride, correct oval bone with strong

lengthy pasterns, good expanse in first and second thigh, lovely attitude and character. BOB She

looked so well in the Group, moving with style and lashing tail.

2. Perren’s Evaluna Chasing Rainbows with Hookwood - pretty head on this bitch, kind, feminine

expression, good clean reach of neck with a slight arch, well let down brisket, correct topline and

tail set, well-ribbed body with short loin, strong, firm quarters, built on lovely clean lines, moved

out well around the ring with good tail action.

VETERAN (3Entries)

1. Welch’s IR SH CH Oxfordacres Trinity by Hookwood JW SH CM - such a lovely bitch, full of

quality, lovely head carriage on the move; she stood out for me for balance and construction,

strong overall but remains very feminine with an excellent outline in profile, well-sprung ribs

carried well back, short coupled, good breadth of first and second thigh, well muscled, good tail

action on the move. Equality bitch Res BOB

2. Kenwardgold Minnie Me VW has a kind feminine expression, a clean, good reach of neck with a

slight arch, a well-let-down brisket, the correct topline and tail set, a well-ribbed body with a

short loin, strong, firm quarters, and moves out well around the ring with good tail action.
