Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at your premier show, a lovely atmosphere around and the weather was rather kind to us too. Thank you to my two stewards and a huge thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me today. All dogs we’re presented beautifully, and it was a real delight to have the chance to judge all these dogs today.

Junior (3)

1st Baverstock – Kalkasi Super Special. 15 months bitch. Extremely feminine bitch, full of elegance, but enough body and substance to be able to really fulfil her job. Correct length of neck into a straight front. Level topline, and a good amount of angulation all round. Movement okay.

2nd Jasper & Kitchen – Pafaxen Rewrite the Stars. 12 month old dog. An upstanding masculine boy, with lots to like. A real picture on the move too. A little too much stop, but still a kind expression. Level topline with a pinwheel tail of correct length on the move.

3rd Wilcock – Dream of Valyria Daemon Of Mysticelysium at Penellcy (IMP POL). 15 month male.

2nd Jasper & Kitchen – Pafaxen Rewrite the Stars. Repeat of 2nd in Junior.

What a class!

1st Baverstock – Kalkasi Just Because JW. 2.5 year old dog. A stunning boy just reaching his full maturity. A beautiful head with tight eye rims and close fitting lips, creating the most lovely expression. Good length of neck, running into well laid shoulders and straight, well boned forelegs. Level topline into the correct set of tail. Broad chest. Moved out with accuracy and ease. BOB.

2nd Wilcock – CH Penellcy She’s Like The Wind. 5 year old bitch. A smaller bitch, but well made all through. A lovely outline when stacked and a free mover. Very pretty head with just enough amount of stop, and a lovely dark almond eye. A little out of coat today, which made her not as impressive as the male today, but a worthy winner anyway. RBOB.

3rd Goodwin – CH Lisjovia White Lady Avec Montmusique JW. 3 year old bitch.

1st Butterworth – Kligenthal Einar (AI). 2 year old dog. This wheaten boy really impressed me today. His expression really enticed me with his lovely dark eye, his correct ear placement which he was using at all times and black nose. His muscular but lean body and correct angles really allowed him to truly power around the ring, with a lively and good stride. I couldn’t resist him in the challenge – BOB.

1st Butterworth – CH Koromandel Gild The Lily. 7 year old bitch. Defying her age, she was a real beauty! A lovely head and short, compact body, and could really show the younger ones how to move. Enough forchest, and straight legs on tight, oval feet. Just lost out to her son in the challenge. RBOB.

1st Ashbrook, Church & Church – Invanse Fifty Shades of Freed. 2 year old Dog. Unfortunately, not showing his best today. A lovely head, with correct placement of ears, which allowed for the best of expressions. Well chiselled head, with flat foreface. Correctly dark almond eye. Well built throughout. Correct length of back, and deep rib. Good tail set and strong, straight hind, with enough angulation. Rather unsettled on the move today which let him down. RBOB.

1st Hall – Shai Du Pre De La Sommerau At Vonandraste (IMP FRA). 3 year old dog. A real impressive dog, with great ring presence. Such a typical outline and moved with real ease. Correct eye shape and colour. A good length and width of skull, Good ear shape, set OK. Long, correct lay of shoulder, allowing him to really stride on the move. Enough depth and width of chest, good spring of rib. Level topline with a good amount of tuck up, really showing his elegance. Well muscled rear and let down hocks. BOB.

𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿

1st Griffin – Droversrock Tigers Eye. 7 month old Liver and tan bitch. A well-developed youngster who will do well as she matures. A lovely expression when she used her ears. Everything in proportion, well boned and easily standing four square at all times. Correct lighter eye colour, almond in shape. Good width of chest. Strong forelegs into firm tight feet. Level back and good rear angulation. Moved in a brisk and powerful way, showing she could really do her job. RBOB & BP.

2nd Bradford – Droversrock Pyrite. 7 month old bitch. Black and tan, Litter sister to 1, and a much smaller bitch all round. A little finer in bone to sister, but enough scope for good future development. Pretty head, obviously female. Strong bone, and level topline. Correct set of tail.

3rd Manifold & Jones – Lankeela Tennessee Fire. 9 month old bitch. Promising girl, could do with a lot more confidence in the show ring.

1st Fairest – Skipest Summer Breeze. 21 month old bitch. Black and tan. I felt this bitch was a real treat to find. Everything I was looking for, and more! Shame she let herself down in the group, but I’m so pleased to of found her. Most beautiful of heads, dark almond eyes giving a truly gorgeous expression, which says “Look at me!”. Skull flat with enough stop. Well placed, and used erect ears. A good length of neck into well placed shoulders. The most level back and a faultless tail set which really balanced her. Correct pencilling on toes and markings all round to complete the perfect picture. Just loved her! BOB.

2nd Griffin – Simonsville Fenwick. 2.5 year old dog. Black and tan. A well contrasted male who had a lovely outline. He has a good length of neck, correct lay of shoulder and deep rib. Level back and correct high set tail. Would prefer a darker eye, this did ruin his expression unfortunately.

3rd Lagonegro – Lankeela Kristi And Eeyore. 2.5 year old dog.

1st Fairest – Skipest Summer Breeze. Repeat from 1st in PG.

2nd Davies – Taigwynion Freya Sadie in Ronleydon. 3 year old bitch. Liver and tan. Shame she met the winner in this class, as she was a real class act. Correct lighter eye for her colouring with the precise markings on head and body. Good ear set and flat skull. Correct depth of chest and front pasterns just turning out. Level back, to be picky, I would have liked a slightly higher tail set. A true brisk mover.

1st Hateley – Mohnesee Lullaby Ice. 9 month old bitch. Blue Merle. An extremely exciting young puppy who will do great things, I’m sure. Still building her confidence in the ring, but really having a ball at times which is always lovely to see. Most elegant long, blunt wedge head giving an upmost expression. Beautiful eye and correctly placed, tipped ears. A good length of neck flowing into a level topline and low set tail. A truly desirable outline. BP and pleased to watch her go on to achieve puppy group 3.

1st Hateley – Mohnesee Lullaby Ice. Repeat of 1st in puppy.

2nd Sandham – Balidorn Starlight. 17 month old bitch. Extremely sweet, feminine Tri coloured girl who had lots to like. Much smaller than winner all through. She had gorgeous expressive dark almond eyes, and correctly set ears of a good size. Enough length of neck and level topline. Just not quite as flowing in outline as 1.

1st Hateley – CH Lizmark Lullaby Moon Over Mohnesee JW. 3 year old bitch. How lucky am I to be able to judge such a dog at an open show! Without even putting a hand on her, her outline and aura alone is breathtaking, this is a girl who knows she’s special! And she did not disappoint on the table either. There is nothing at all to knock on her. So balanced with nothing exaggerated and the most accurate of movers. BOB and loved watching her go group 2 in an extremely strong group. Congratulations.

2nd Rosslyn – Balidorn Golden Amber. 5 year old S/W bitch. Extremely unlucky to come up against the winner today. An elegant girl who is so well constructed she didn’t even have to try. A beautiful expression and dark, almond eyes you could get lost in. Cheeks are flat and muzzle straight and parallel to the top of her skull with the correct placement of ears. Enough width to check and strong but elegant bone. Good amount of neck and level topline, which she kept well on the move. Moved with ease around the ring. RBOB.
