Firstly I would like to thank the Committee of the show for the invitation to judge at their show. It was my first group appointment, and I was extremely spoilt for choice. Thank you to all the exhibitors for allowing me to judge their dogs. It was a lovely day and the weather even held up for us.

1st Clucas, Mr W & Mrs C. CH Hiswin Star Dreams JW. 9 year old bitch. A real quality exhibit, who thoroughly impressed me on exam. She is feminine but still with plenty of substance. Broad muzzle with a good amount of fill under the eyes. Correct ear placement. Straight front legs into catlike feet. Broad chest and well set tail. Typical short stride, so sound on the move. BOB, group 3 and 1st AV Utility Veteran.

2nd Osborn, Miss H. Beaconpride Tatiana For Jasava JW. 18 month old bitch. Different type to 1st but still so well made. Extremely pretty head with a good length of muzzle. Lovely dark eye. Longer neck that 1. Well bodied with broad rib. Correct tail set. Not the mover of 1 today.

1st Harvey, Miss E. Kerfkooiker Gynn. 2 year old Dog. Lovely outline, just off square. Most beautiful head piece, with really dark expressive eyes. Good amount of “ear rings” on well placed ears. Perfectly level back flowing into a correct tailset. Well sprung ribs into a slight tuck up. Elbows okay. Well angulated, which allowed him to power with great drive around the ring.

2nd Stewart, Mrs C. Twybrook Sweet Princess RL1EX. 2 year old Bitch. Pretty bitch with good angulation all round. Level back into a correct tail set. Well sprung ribs into an okay tuck up. She moved well around the ring, just not the overall balance of 1.

1st Stewart, Mrs C. LUX CH Qunack’s Light For Twybrook (IMP NLD) RL1EX. 5 year old Bitch. A very well balanced bitch who had not exaggeration for anything. Lovely typical outline. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Just enough bone. Level topline into correct tail set. Good amount of angulation, straight legs onto oval feet. She moved so well and never stopped showing. So well presented and handled to advantage. BOB.

1st Adam-Slomkowski, Mrs M. 10 Month old dog. A sturdy puppy who showed well all day. Lovely head piece with dark oval eyes. Correct bite. Straight forelegs, set under shoulders. Strong, level topline, high-set feathered tail. Free & sound moving. Enjoying his day out. BPIB and Puppy Group 2.

1st Carter, Mrs S L. Belazieth Queen’s Jubilee. 2 year old, white and gold bitch. Well coated girl or good size. Pretty head piece, with correct shape of skull. Good length of neck into a level topline and good tail set. Well angulated on rear. Good catlike feet. Moved ok.

1st Owen, Miss L. Zanamop White Flame. 3 year old Dog. Well made dog with a lovely outline and movement to match. Correct head piece and good texture of coat. Well balanced, with a level topline and good tail set. Good length of leg. Well laid back shoulders and good rear angulation. Moved with power and drive. BOB.

2nd Carter, Mrs S L. Avonbourne Cilla Black at Vowchurch. 5 year old bitch. Black and white bitch. Strong, sturdy dog with a good outline. Nice head, well furnished. Moved well, just not the showman of 1st.

1st Rollinson, Mrs M. Chadbower Emilia. 5 Year old bitch. BOB. A well made bitch with good bone and a lovely outline. Carrying a little more weight than I would like. Typical expression and lovely dark eyes. Well placed ears. Arched neck with straight legs. Short back into a high set tail carried well over back. Well angulated and small catlike feet. Light and nimble mover. BOB.

2nd Manners, Mrs B C. Roopec Keep Up With Me. 7 month old Bitch. Extremely raw puppy but lots of scope for future development. Everything in the right place, extremely promising, just very much a baby.

1st Manners, Mrs B C. Roopec Just One More. 7 month old bitch. Litter sister to 2nd in limit, just as much to like. She is pretty and square in outline and more steady on the move than her sister. Just enough bone. BPIB and Puppy group 4.

1st Maule, Mrs P M. Jadetemple Jaci Higgins At Daltricia. 11 month old bitch. An extremely promising puppy, who I’m sure will go all the way! Everything in the right place and so well balanced. Typical head, short muzzle into a black nose. Arched neck into a level topline. Broad chest. Well muscled rear, allowing her to have plenty of reach and drive. BPIB and Puppy group 1.

1st Maule, Mrs P M. Daltricia Jane Austen JW. 17 month old bitch. Sturdily built bitch with a good outline. Rounded skull and good width between her large eyes. Short muzzle with slightly undershot jaw. Well placed ears. Well presented coat of good length. Strong level back. Well laid, firm shoulders. Broad rib and muscular loin. High set tail. Correct arrogant movement around the ring. BOB.

Tibetan Spaniel

1st Price, Mrs J. Ricox I Love My Mini Me JW. 2 year old gold bitch. Well made girl with a lovely outline. Preferred her length of leg compared to 2nd. Pretty head with just the right amount of cushioning with slightly rounded skull. Lovely dark eye and correct ear set. Good length of neck and enough width of chest. Well laid shoulder, slight bow to forelegs. Good spring of rib and level back. Better rear movement than 2nd.

2nd Price, Mrs J. Parloueve Back To Black of Ricox JW. 3 year old black and tan bitch. Another bitch with a lovely head piece, a little longer in muzzle than 1st but with a pleasing amount of cushioning. Chest of good width and depth. Well laid shoulder, okay rear angulation. Preferred her tailset to 1st.

1st Price, Mrs J. CH Ricox Somebody To Love JW ShCM ShCEx VW. 8 year old bitch. A real quality bitch who even at 8 years old, was able to show the younger ones how its done. A real air of arrogance about her, a true show girl. It’s easy to see how she has her title. Such a typical head piece and the best of ear sets. Slightly bowed front legs, and still so muscular all round. Level topline which she held well on the move. Correct tailset and presented beautifully. BOB and Utility group 4.

1st Dyer & Grindey, Mrs S & Mr R. Regulas Black Malricey. Poodle (Miniature) . 2 year old black Dog. My star of the day. A real little gem to find, who I’m sure is due a lot of winning in the future. He is a real showman, who knew exactly how to own the ring. Square in outline and so well balanced. Lovely expressive dark almond eye. Good length of neck and well sprung rib. A muscular boy with the correct amount of angulation to allow him to really power round the ring. His movement is where he really came alive and stole the show for me. BAVNSC & Utility Group 1. Absolutely delighted to see him go on to be awarded Reserve Best In Show.

2nd Comperat & Truelove, Mr J M & Miss C. Bargeway Boomerang. Keeshond. 13 month old dog. Such a shame he came up against the Mini Poodle. He is so well put together, he screams breed type. A masculine boy, who is the perfect square. His head piece is a real picture, with the most lovely expression. Presented beautifully and handled very well. A true mover too, just not quite the showman of 1st.

3rd Davies, Mrs T. Sotto Voce Gypsy Queen (IMP ESP). Poodle (Toy). 10 month old bitch. BP.

1st Walsh, Mrs K J. Taladayga Feel The Glow Bielcee. Poodle (standard). 4 year old red bitch. Tall and elegant. Lovely well chiselled foreface. Dark Almond eye. Correct ears. Okay forechest. Level back into a good set of tail. Okay angulation.

1st Walsh, Mrs K J. Somanic Limited Edition For Bielcee. Poodle (Miniature). 3 year old brown bitch. Moved really well, just not the showman of the yearling winner. Lovely head with dark expressive eyes. Good forechest and nice square outline. Correct amount of angulation all round, which allowed her to really power around the ring.

2nd Davies, Mrs T. Sotto Voce Gypsy Queen (IMP ESP). Poodle (Toy). 10 month old bitch. BP. Square in outline and well balanced. Pretty head and dark eye. Good length of neck and correct forechest. Shoulders well laid back. Tail set okay. Moved well.

2nd Baines, Miss AW. Boshanti Derrian. Tibetan Terrier. 2 year old dog. Tall boy with plenty of reach of drive. Nice head piece, good amount of stop and dark eyes. Strong fore with a good amount of bone. Level back into a correct tail set. Large feet.

3rd Richards, Miss S F. Divazzi’s Desire For Romance at Hafwenna. Dalmatian.

Special Veteran 10+ (1)

1st Price, Mrs J. CH Souska Devotion VW. Tibetan Spaniel. You would never guess she was 11 years old! What a little trooper. Not showing her age in the slightly, other than a little bit of grey on her muzzle. Solid body, still holding her topline. Carrying her self so well on the move still.

1st Dyer & Grindey, Mrs S & Mr R. Regulas Black Malricey. Poodle (Miniature).

2nd Hurst, Mrs A & Mr K. Dvojica Firefly For Finnidal. Dalmatian. 17 month old bitch. Ultra feminine but showing no weakness. She could go all day long! Pretty head piece. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Level topline which she held so well on the move with a good tail set, carried slightly curved upwards on the move. Well angulated giving her ample reach and drive on the move. Standing on tight, catlike feet.

AV Veteran (27,11)

1st Jones, Miss A M. Suzdans Ollivanders. 7 year old GSD. What a masculine boy, but with no signs of coarseness. Slightly domed skull with medium sized ears. Good width and depth of chest. Good length of neck into a topline which falls away only slightly, hasn’t lost his topline at all. Correct length of tail. Not over angulated in the rear. And moved so well on his go around. A real pleasure to watch him move!

2nd Philo, Ms S R. Fydal Caprio at Salmonmist JW ShCM Osw ShCEx. 7 year old Pointer. A dog of real elegance. From watching him move round the ring at first, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on him, and he did not disappoint. So well made and still carrying a great amount of muscle. Well defined stop and lovely dark eye. Straight forelegs into oval feet. Well sprung rib into a good tuck up. Tail level with back. Well angulated on rear, which allowed him to cover the ground so well.

3rd Taylor & Taylor-Morris, Mrs P & Mrs H. CH Pelenrise Chat A Lot JW ShCM. 8 year old Siberian Husky.
