Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Puppy (3,2)

1. Buxton’s Kensequi Bluebell. 7 month old bitch. Feminine bitch of good size. Correct length of leg and super ground clearance. Needs to drop and fill out in body. Sound on the up and back. BP.

Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Junior (5,2)

1. Ward’s Nasiriyah’s Lavender at Marlanow. 15 month old bitch. Best for balance and proportions. Super neck and good front construction. Excellent coat. Moved well in profile holding a firm topline. BOB.

2. Brierly’s Tatze Harlem. 12 month old bitch. Lovely head and expression. Well constructed front and very tidy on the move coming towards. Can settle into her hindquarters.

3. Buxton’s Kensequi Bluebell.

Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Post Graduate (1)

1. Farrington’s Dollydash Defender Of Faith. 18 month old dog. Up to size but scores well for body proportions. Super head and neck. Goes on a free stride with drive but would like to see more width in front, both standing and moving.

Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Open (1)

1. Brierly’s Bramalodge Bonfire Heart at Tatze. 3 year old bitch. Feminine head. Good front, forechest and feet. Well ribbed. Could do with some more hind angulation. Goes very well up and down, tail a little happy in profile. RBOB.

Dachshund (Miniature Smooth-Haired) Puppy (3,2)

1. Spall & Clark’s Llapsttam Sebastian. 11 month old dog. Super puppy of good size. Quite ‘together’ for his age presenting a balanced picture. Smooth and clean-cut outline. Masculine head of good length. Balanced in angulation and well ribbed. Moved very well. BOB, BP, Puppy Group 1 and delighted to hear he went RBPIS.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy (2,1)

1. Zhao’s Vkloof Lady Lambo Huracan. 7 month old bitch. A well sized bitch with enough strength and substance whilst retaining femininity. Good body proportions but needs to drop into herself which will hopefully settle her topline. Well laid shoulders. Needs to tighten in front movement but went well in profile. BP.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Junior (5,4)

1. Cyprien, Porter & Willunat’s Honeybush Clouds Novel Princess Zola with Jocerik (Imp). 13 month old bitch. A well balanced bitch who showed herself off to best advantage and impressed with her free and easy movement. Lovely head and expression, with a super neck. Very good outline, well filled and good depth of chest. BOB and Hound Group 2.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Post Graduate (5,4)

1. Cyprien, Porter & Willunat’s Honeybush Clouds Novel Princess Zola with Jocerik (Imp).

Rhodesian Ridgeback Open (3,2)

1. Cyprien’s Shavano’s Quality Of Life By Indie (Imp). Really liked the head, dark eye and expression of this bitch. Very well made front with good layback of shoulder and return of upper, with need elbows. A little rounded in topline from loin to croup. Not as easy on the move as her younger kennelmate. RBOB.

Beagle Junior (1)

1. Jones & Jepson’s Eardley Smartypants. 13 month old bitch. A really smart bitch with a lovely head, expression and ear set. Stacked, she presents a super outline of the correct proportions and holds this outline on the move, showing reach and drive. Just needs time to get her head in the game. BOB and Hound Group 4.

Beagle Open (1)

1. Jones & Jepson’s Canowindra Ooh La La for Eardley. Another good bitch with a quality look about her. Good head and super neck. Excellent profile movement. Preferred the front and more compact body of her kennelmate for BOB. RBOB.

AVNSC Hound Junior (5,4)

1. Secret Agent with Sufayre. 16 month old dog. Presents a balanced outline of the correct proportions. Super neck and front. Needs to body up, and wasn’t making it easy for his handler on the day, but has time on his side in both respects. Sound mover in all directions. BAVNSC.

AV Hound Veteran (2,1)

1. House’s Gleadsbury Rumour Has It. 7 year old bitch. Good for size, outline and proportions. Lovely head and eye. Fair front and ribbing. Super hindquarters. Impressed on the move in all directions.

Hound Group

1. Whippet – Wilkinson’s Citycroft Starfall JW. 6 year old bitch. A lovely bitch who can’t be ignored for her quality and breed type. Up to size but scores highly for her smooth and curvy outline. Very sound in all directions on the move. A comfortable winner of this group on the day.

2. Rhodesian Ridgeback – Honeybush Clouds Novel Princess Zola with Jocerik (Imp).

3. Afghan Hound – Parker’s Saxonmill Majic Moment at Khatira. Typy, masculine head with a dark well shaped eye. Very well made and developed. The small ring undoubtedly limited his potential on the move on the day but showed enough sound movement to take this place.

4. Beagle – Eardley Smartypants.

Hound Puppy Group

1. Spall & Clark’s Llapsttam Sebastian

2. Owen’s Crosscop Just A Friend. 8 month old bitch. A scopey, well angulated bitch. Feminine head, held on a lengthy neck. Liked her length of body and gentle curves. Moved well for her age.

3. Rhodesian Ridgeback – Zhao’s Vkloof Lady Lambo Huracan.

4. Afghan Hound – Cook’s Darling Boy Paul O’Grady. An elegant dog of fair make and shape, has lots of maturing to do but moved on a light and sound stride.
