Greyhound Puppy (5,1) A class full of littermates, lovely to see, very much of a type.

1. Boggia’s Boughton Back For More. 10 month old red brindle bitch. Most together on the stack at this stage with super proportions and balance. Super head with lovely length and chiselling. Beautiful flow of neck and front with a shapely outline. Moved soundly in all directions with a good stride, holding her outline.

2. Sawer’s Boughton Back On Top. 10 month old brindle dog. Not quite as generous as 1 for proportions. Masculine head of good length and strength of underjaw, eye could be a shade darker. Super front construction, though not quite the hindquarters of 1. Very sound mover on the up and down. Excellent temperament.

3. Ball’s Boughton Back In Time.

Greyhound Junior (6,2)

1. Boggia’s Boughton Back For Good. Another red brindle bitch littermate. Perhaps even more racey than her sister who won the last class which I liked, in fact, I loved her overall look and proportions. Excellent construction throughout with a lovely flowing outline, which she held on the move in profile with a super stride. RBOB and BP.

2. Sawer’s Boughton Back On Top.

3. Ball’s Boughton Back In Time.

Greyhound Post Graduate (3,2)

1. Boggia & Graham’s Rubicon’s Songbird by Boughton (Imp USA). 19 month old blue brindle bitch. Unfortunately not very happy with the floor it seemed today so difficult to assess movement but she certainly had the construction to presume she could move soundly with a good stride. Lovely quality throughout with super bone and feet.

Greyhound Open (4,2)

1. Harrison-Stratford’s Ch Southpoint Niemeyer at Highwick (Imp PRT). 2 year old red dog. Beautiful head of super length and proportions, lovely chiselling, eyes and expression. Generous body proportions and stands over himself really well. Long neck into a well made front. Super depth and spring of rib carried well back, could have a touch more rise over the loin. Well angulated hindquarters with good strength. A sound mover in all directions with a super profile stride. BOB and HG2.

2. Boggia’s Whirlaway All Fired Up at Boughton (Imp AUS). 3 year old red dog. Not quite as generous and upstanding as 1, though he had an attractive masculine head and was well made all through. Would have preferred a better tail set. A positive and sound mover.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy (2,1)

1. Hicks’ Nuthouse Mastermind. 11 month old liver nose dog. Liked his head which was of correct proportions, with good eyes and well set ears. Had correct proportions and a balanced frame to drop into in time. Opens up on the move producing a better outline than when stacked and has a really free and easy stride. BOB, BP & PG3.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Junior (3,1)

1. Nash’s Mutoko’s Noble Preacher. 16 month old dog. Well balanced head, but would like it cleaner through. Better front construction and overall balance and proportions than 2, though would like tighter feet. Balanced hindquarters with good width of thigh. Needs to settle in front movement but holds a good outline and has a good stride in profile.

2. Hudson’s Mutoko’s Parkers Glory. Litter sister to the above. Lovely feminine head and had better feet than 1 also. Has time on her side to develop in the body but is rather tubular at present. Moved well, better on the up and down than 1 but just pipped on stride and outline in profile by 1.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Post Graduate (3,1)

1. Hicks’ Nuthouse Going For Gold. 11 month old bitch. I think she bitch was in a bit of an in between stage, being a little down on her front at present, but had lots of type and quality and has time on her side. She has a lovely feminine head with dark eyes and correct width of skull. Won the class on the move. RBOB.

2. Mitchelson’s Amahle Red Hot Zephyr at Voortrekker. This dog presented a well balanced outline on the stack, which I preferred to 1 however, he was ran by a different handler and unfortunately pulled to the side the whole time spoiling his chances completely as I could not assess his movement.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Open (0)

Hound Group

1. Allenby’s Ch Soletrader Fun Times for Rangali JW. Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit). Such a quality bitch with many typical attributes, excellent construction throughout and sound as a pound in all directions.

2. Harrison-Stratford’s Ch Southpoint Niemeyer at Highwick (Imp PRT). Greyhound.

3. Morland’s Zoraden Master Baker. Whippet. A dog who must be admired for type and quality, a little up to size but extremely sound in all directions.

4. Matthews’ Sonham Twice As Nice JW. Wire-Haired Dachshund. Smart bitch who presents a super outline and hold it on the move, really driving from the rear.
