Cardiff Canine Society

Welsh Corgi (Pembroke)

Junior 1st Rees; Stadwen Polly Garteer (AI), Tri-colour bitch who is feminine throughout. 7mths and taking it all in her stride. Super pigment and bite. Good neck and topline. Moved so well in all directions. When stood she was stylish and confident. BP, RBOB and Pastoral Puppy Group 3. 2nd Warner; Monarchcor Lady Love JW, feminine corgi with a sweet expression. Nicely balanced with a quality coat covering her fit body.

Post Grad 1st Davies; Ceranda Ace of Spades. Solid and strong masculine lad. Good length of neck. Broad chest. Level topline which never faulted on the move. 

Open 1st Davies Ceranda Evensong For Haresfoot. Balanced female with much to like. Nice size, proportioned and good angulation. Lovely head, good length of neck and another who’s topline was level at all times. Moved well. BOB and Pastoral Group 3

Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

Junior; 1st Evans & Hutchings Arcanedale Hiraeth, sturdy and solid masculine boy. Good bite and dark pigment. Good bone throughout. Balanced and lovely profile shape. BP

Post Grad; 1st Langford Caprian Adrianna JW. Her movement won her the class, typical free mover in all directions. She is balanced and has a lovely flowing outline. RBOB. 2nd Evans; Lidoffad Isabella Flower, just not quite the mover as 1 however a feminine girl with required bone and substance.

Open; 1st Davies; Ceranda Something Special. Pretty girl with lovely head proportions. Holds a strong topline both stood and on the move. Nicely angulated front and rear which really proves itself on the move BOB and Pastoral Group 4. 2nd Langford; Caprian The Vixen JW, not quite the femineity in head as 1 but still much to like. Lovely mover, lacking a little coat but what she had was of harsh texture.

Shetland Sheepdogs

Junior: 1st Haensel Sherkarl Sole Diva, a delightful baby boy who appeared to enjoy his time in the ring. Nice head piece, good ear set and dark pigment. Baby coat but in abundance and in good condition. He looked the part in the ring. BP & RBOB

Open; 1st Haensel Philhope Summer Time To Sherkarl JW, stood alone but with much to like, attractive head of good proportions. Good angulation and moved steadily around the ring. Handled well. BOB

Border Collie

Junior; 1st Gregory Tonkory Wait And See, 11mth old male in excellent condition. Such an honest and sound Border Collie. He was balanced throughout and had a beautiful outline. On the move he excelled and covered the ground so well. BP, BOB and topped the Puppy Pastoral Group 1. 2nd Morris Cwnhapus Crowning Glory. A nice lad with excellent pigment and eye colour. A classic outline. On the move he was another dog who didn’t appear comfortable on the carpeted ring and made his handler work at getting the best from him. However, his movement was good once he settled. RBOB

Old English Sheepdog

Post Grad: 1st Jones Leader Dei Nobilpazzi (imp ITA) 22mth old lad who was lovely on the move in every direction and covered the ground easily. Stands square and is masculine. Strong head with good pigment. He was very much a showman. BOB and Pastoral Group 2

Open: 1st Rathband & Fealy’s Dalewood Rags to Riches To Keynell (AI). Another balanced OES which much to like. Again square and cobby and covered in a harsh coat. Nice topline with required rise over loin. Just not quite as easy on the move due to the carpeted ring. RBOB

Collie (Smooth)

Post Grad: 1st Martin’s Sturtmoor Arceus’s Legacy. A 7mth old boy with a good head and pigment. Neck flowed into a nice topline. Good front and rear. Moved and handled well BP. 2nd Rogers & Carvallo’s Blamorder Mischief Maker, another with a nice head, really well handled to show him off. Just preferred the movement on the puppy.

Open: 1st Martin’s Shandlmain Blu Chief. Well-muscled gent who is attractive on the stance and on the move. Solid throughout with good bone. Moved well and easy around the ring. BOB

Collie (Rough)

Open: 1st Lyall’s Santaloly’s Sky Amidalas. An abundant coat covered her conditioned body. Nice head with good ears. Once settled she moved well around the ring. BOB

Buhunds

Open: 1st Owen’s Leggatts Night Fever Black dog in a large frame. Fit and well muscled. Darkest of pigment, nice head good topline. He moved so well around the ring and his rear movement was just a bit more accurate than 2nd. 2nd Corin’s Kligenthal Almuric. Another with much to like, he was balanced and in really great condition. Great topline and front. So eye catching to watch. RBOB

Swedish Vallunds

Open: 1st Price’s Valltineya Starlight Rodeo, a 6mth old boy at his first show and what a bright future he should have. He was delightful to go over. Wedge head with medium ears. He had a level topline, good ribs and short loin. Easy free striding movement with require hind action. Really happy and promising puppy – one to watch. BOB & BP

Open: 1st Bailey’s Ch Bryndingo Bendigeidfran. Lovely 8 yo fit and sound masculine male who was well muscled and solid. Free easy mover around the ring. BOB

Puppy

1st Stephen’s Chalksville Made Of Magic For Brightmeadow – what a cracking youngster he is. Effortless movement with the required angles front and rear. Fit and in tip top condition. Masculine head which a lovely expression and good bite, ears and eyes. One to watch and should have a bright show future. BP, Pastoral Puppy Group 2. 2nd Wilson’s Gwyneira Scarlet Witch. What a beautiful 7mth old pretty girl. Happy in the ring but just needs to settle on the move. She shows much promise with her balanced body and lovely puppy coat.

Open: 1st Roux’s Domburg New Love At Willowfrost I loved this BSD Terv, enough that she topped the Pastoral Group. 3 yo and impressive on stance and on the move. Square in body with well sprung ribs. Well-muscled and powerful rear. She excelled on the move; she covered the ground with her light movement. 2nd Wilson’s Rosskaja Silver Temptress At Gwyneira. A Samoyed with a beautiful head, dark pigment and that Sammie smile. Nicely proportioned body, she was nice on the move but just not the full package as 1st.

AV Veteran: 1st Flower’s Ch Breckamore Butterfingers ShCM SHCEX, Smooth Collie really liked this veteran Collie. Fit and in great condition. She was well presented and handled well. Moved effortlessly around the ring to top the class. 2nd Rathband & Fealy Ch Keynell Midnight Moon, OES, an impressive dog and unfortunate to meet the Smooth. Harsh quality coat which covered his well-proportioned body. Just not the clean movement as 1 today.

Pastoral Group – 1st BSD Terv, 2nd OES, 3rd Pem, 4th Cardi

Pastoral Puppy Group – 1st Border Collie, 2nd GSD 3rd Pem 4th Puli. Thomas’ Mournebrake Touch An Angel, such a baby at just 6mths of age. Feminine small head with good bite and pigment. Quick and nimble movement around the ring. She really appeared to enjoy her day out with her lively disposition.
