Wrexham and District Kennel Society Open show 20 July 2024

I would like to thank the secretary and committee for my invitation to judge several of the toy breeds and groups in a beautiful venue and for the very warm hospitality I received. Thanks to my 2 lovely stewards, Angela and Elaine who did a sterling job. Finally thank you to all the exhibitors allowing me the privilege of judging their dogs.

Toy Group

1st Robbs Gleniren Miracle Starmaker, Papillon.

One word to describe this dog which is “superb”, not any part I would want to change, just wow!

Presented in pristine condition with beautiful silky coat finished off with attractive plume tail. Text book head piece, good dentition. Super outline. Movement a joy to watch, went well all ways with good front. Ticks every box and then some, will watch this ones future. BOB BPIB and delighted later awarded RBPIS.

2nd Billingtons Aquepins Jessica Fletcher JW, Miniature Pinscher.

Lovely side profile with slightly arched neck, good rear angulation, good straight front, moved correctly both ways. Good mouth. BOB

3rd Reynolds and Morleys Afterglow I Dream of Jeannie at Lizlanmor, Pug.

Very smart 12 month bitch, body full of substance and good muscle tone who motored around the ring. Super side profile on the move, good front. Good head piece, well defined wrinkles. BOB

4th Greens Vouzime Queen Elsa Over Samorrey ShCEx, Maltese.

Very sweet temperament with super dentition. Attractive head piece enhanced by dark oval eyes. Moved gracefully both ways and good in side profile on the move. Presented in lovely condition. BOB

2nd Bromilows Wolimorb Top Gun, Bichon

Smart puppy with lovely outline, well defined tuck adding to its profile. Correct balance of head proportions, eyes dark with haloes. Beautifully presented, coat felt lovely, moved well. BOB BPIB

3rd Stadings, Joangelz Delilah, Yorkshire Terrier.

8 month puppy, full of confidence who glided around the ring. Very well presented and good outline, good head proportions, good mouth, quite a cheeky one. BOB BPIB

4th Cannon and Birchs Flashnik Alcopop, Pug.

Promising youngster, super wrinkles, attractive head enhanced by dark mask. Nice in profile and good mover both directions. BPIB

1st Obringers Buffels Miss Sleepy, nice overall shape on standing profile. Good head features with small neat ears, moved well both ways. BOB

1st Taylors Luvtayls Flashdance, 2 year old tri colour, good mover both ways. Nice flat skull with large round eyes, good ear set. Pleasant temperament. BOB

2nd Hopkins Droleus That’s M’Calon At Gwawr, 3 year old Blenheim. Another who moved nicely. Good head proportions, good ear set , large round eye.

3rd Taylors Luvtayl Written in the Stars

1st Taylors Luvtayls Rave About, 2 year old blenheim. Good mover, good dentition, nice head proportions with good ear placement, spirit level top line. Pleasant temperament. RBOB

2nd Taylors Luvtayls Newsflash, Lovely in profile on the move. Nice head with flat skull, good ear fringing framing the head. Good in good condition. Went well.

Salmons Dyffynsands Margoe Mae at Lizzielane, 2 year old gold sable, lovely friendly temperament. Good head proportions, well well presented with wavy coat. Good on side profile movement. Very attentive to handler. BOB

Greens Yannis Wedding Day with Samorrey (IMP CZE), Very friendly on the table nice to go over, good mouth. Nicely presented. Super movement coming forwards. Good head properties with large dark eye.

1st Billingtons Aquepins Phryne Fisher, 2 year old with super dentition. Nice overall shape with gentle slope to rear leading to correctly placed tail. Covered the ring well.

1st Marinas Marinbox Murder by the Book , 2 year old fawn with black mask. Charming dark eyes with wide open nostrils. Presented in good coat condition. Moved with ease around the ring.

1st Marinas Marinbox Murder on the Nile. Another nicely presented one from the same owner and litter mate to the previous class winner. Moved well both ways and in profile looked very smart. Attractive head piece, large eyes and wide nostrils. BOB

Roses Diquest Vanity Fair. 5 year old sable, attentive to handler and went well both ways. Neat erect ears, dark round eyes, stood well for handler. BOB

1st Crowleys, IR/INT/NL/BEL/LUX CH Royomas Tennesse Waltz To Adargwn, 6 year old ETT, overall lovely shape with long neck and well cut loin. Moved well both ways.

2nd Crowleys, IR/LUX/NL CH Adargwn Vienna, 4 year old ETT from same owner as class winner. Very similar and could change places, just preferred outline of the first. Nicely presented with glossy shape, moved well coming and going.

Veteran (7, 2 ab)

1st Humphreys Ch Amarantos Tobin. 8 year old long coat chihuahua who I have judged before and a consistent showman, never putting a foot wrong. Presented in lovely coat condition. Attractive head piece with large round eyes and moderate muzzle, not over done. Lovely in profile on the stand and went around the ring with drive and vigour. Best AV Toy veteran and delighted went BVIS

2nd Hughes Trefanney Phoebe, 7 year old long coat chihuahua. Pleasing head piece, well set ears, correct coat, not over coated finished off with nice plume. Good shape, good rear angulation. Moved well.

1st Austins September Song of Mairichis, Nearly 2 years old Russian Toy. Delightful young lady who once got into her stride went round the ring effortlessly . Well presented, nice in profile, good mouth, nice ear furnishings enhancing her head. BOB
