Bournemouth ch show

Utility group 24 Liz Dunhill

Thank you for the invitation from Bournemouth to judge such a fabulous group, a super efficient & well run show with glorious weather. A big well done to the committee for all their hard work.

I was spoilt for choice I selected the Akita, Boston Terrier, Bulldog, Dalmatian, German Spitz Klein, Lhasa Apso, Toy Poodle, Miniature Schnauzer, Shar Pei & the Korean Jindo.

1st Lhasa Apso, Ch Shenedene Copy and Paste 21 months old and what a show stopper she is. She has a well proportioned head with correct fall, dark almond eye, giving super expression. Reachy neck into good shoulders and front, good topline and well carried tail. Well angulated hindquarters which she knows how to use. She has great kinetic and static balance stopping four square and free moving with jaunty action. She pulled out all the stops with her ring presence when she motored around the ring with he fabulous flowing gold coat to take the top spot. She gave me goose bumps, many more wins to come for this girl there is no doubt. She’s on another level. This kennel has their type cemented, I see she is a miss world grand-daughter, who I awarded awarded a CC at the age of 8. Beautifully presented and handled to perfection. Congratulations, pleased to award her I believe her first group.

2nd Akita, Stecal’s, All Guns Blazing This Akita is a stallion of a dog. Masculine head well placed ears, correct dentition, dark almond eyes, giving super expression. Strong neck, good forechest and straight well boned front. Level topline well carried tail, angulated hindquarters balancing forehand, strong core. In great coat with very attractive colour pattern red white of good texture and length.

I have long admired this male for his powerful side gait, size and substance and bone.

He has all the essentials of breed type, great to go over in superb condition, he is one of a kind that reminds me of Akitas of years gone by “ large, powerful, alert with much substance and heavy bone”. Held super shape on the move to take second place. From a great kennel consistently producing top winners. Superbly presented and handled .

3rd Dalmation, Ch Buffrey Incognito By Dalleaf Loved this boy from a puppy, awarded him group and BOB. At 9 years old looks like a youngster. He has a classic head great dentition with well placed ears dark eyes giving super expression, good neck and well layed shoulder, straight front. Good return of upperarm, compact body with good topline. Well carried tail with well muscled angulated hindquarters. He is foot fall perfect in profile with excellent reach and drive. He holds a firm topline and his movement is harmonious. Coat clear white with correct spotting throughout. He is an iconic dog for me, and a very special boy. Pleased to give him group 3. Congratulations breeders for great longevity and fitness, he is a credit to you and the breed. Superbly handled.

4th Bulldog, ChHaddaway Hey Long admired this boy, so pleased to get my hands on him. Masculine head with good upsweep, rounded cheeks, short muzzle, large dark nostrils, good flat skull and dark eyes of good shape. Strong neck with broad sloping shoulders, wide chest, curvaceous body with well muscled hindquarters, good set on of tail. For perfection, he perhaps could be a tad shorter. His movement is excellent with typical bulldog roll. In super coat, condition and body. Loved his brindle and white markings and he is willing to move with super character. He moved with balance & purpose despite the hot weather, deserved his place in good company.

Congratulations, a super fit dog well handled and presented.
