Birmingham & District Toy Dog Society

Breed: Multiple breeds

English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan)

P (4/0): This was really a very strong class and bodes well for the future, didn’t make my decisions easy though!

1. Leonard’s Witchstone Limited Edition – Small bitch of undeniable quality, lovely head with dark almond eyes, correctly shaped ears that are well set and carried, good bone, correct typical topline. She needs to be seen moving with that typical extended trot which she can keep up forever it seems and gave her the edge over the open class winner. BP, BOB.

2. Love’s Lasagnesse Whole Lotta Love with Tettoy – Lovely body shape with good rear angulation, correct feet, lovely markings on chest and front, good movement, lovely glossy coat, not quite the ears of 1.

J (2/0):

1. Love’s Lasagnesse Whole Lotta Love with Tettoy

2. Pendlebury’s Ettology Small Gods of Pendlethrine - 7m/o boy who just needs to settle, lovely thumbprint markings, good size, correct ear shape complementing an attractive head. Had a slight tendency to high step a little today and needs more coordination, which will come with maturity I’m sure.

PG (2/0):

1. Pendlebury’s Ettology Small Gods of Pendlethrine

2. Green’s Galvizach Royal Amethyst of Regalriver – 2y/o girl with lovely ears and good eye, would prefer better rear angulation, top line and cleaner front movement. Lovely coat in shining condition.

O (7/0): This strong class gave me a lot to ponder. Again the quality was high, a few did not have the typical extended trot movement or the correct topline and had to pay the price, but I’m sure the main placings could change depending on the day.

1. Whitehouse’s Amalric Coco Chanel with Dalmonde JW – A lovely bitch with a good overall shape, good length of head and muzzle, correct shape and set of ears, good almond eye that is well placed, correct front feet, typical topline with slight curve, typical movement. Slightly better front markings would be the icing in the cake. RBOB

2. Leonard’s Witchstone Silent Prayer – Another one with a lovely attractive and correct head with lovely almond shaped well placed eye, correct strong bite. She has a lovely size much like her puppy kennelmate, good typical topline, great front action. Not quite the rear angulation of 1.

Miniature Pinscher

P (1/0):

1. Park’s Rayjen Rum And Raisin – 6m/o B&T male, lovely rich tan, good level topline and correct tailset, good skull shape, correct full scissor bite, good front assembly. Would prefer slightly shorter loin to compete the picture. Lovely temperament. BP

J (1/0):

1. Watkins’ Hawksflight American Jazz – 6m/o red boy with a lovely overall body shape, Good eye, scissor bite & length of muzzle, correct skull to muzzle proportions, ears could be smaller but does not distract from the overall picture. Correct topline, tailset & carriage, correct hackneyed front action, good rear angulation, good substance. BOB

PG (3/2):

1. Soper’s Dobenar Leonidas – B&T male with a compact body, good rear angulation, correct head proportion, good bite. Would prefer more cat-like feet, more typical front action and more moderate tuck-up. Good temperament.

O (3/1):

1. Billington’s Aquepins Jessica Fletcher JW – B&T girl who displays a good overall shape, correct rear angulation & straight hocks. Good head with correct oval eyes, good scissor bite, ears could be carried a little higher to complete the picture. Moved well around the ring and coming and going. RBOB

2. Billington’s Aquepins Agatha Raisin – I wrote: very similar attributes to 1 and now I obviously see these two are litter sisters. This one has a lovely head too & correct front movement. Lost out to her sister on slightly better rear movement.
