Puppy Dog (7 Ent 0 Abs)

1st Cuthill, Miss Isobel, MESSANO POP MASTER OF MOUSSEGLEN.

A mid gold puppy of almost 8 months, well presented in a thick coat displaying gentle waves. A handsome male head with good chiselling, inky black pigment dark eyes and a kind friendly expression. He is well off for bone and soundly constructed throughout. Well balanced angles fore and aft, stood on neat tight feet with a good length of leg and tight elbows. A good forechest, deep through the body, short coupled with a strong loin and level topline. Attentive to his handler with plenty of confidence and personality. Best Puppy Dog.

 

2nd McFarlane, Miss K & Mrs W G McFarlane,BLUEBRAES GIE IT LALDY

A 10 month old puppy presented in an immaculate mid gold coat with ample blonde feathering, this young dog has a lovely male head with no coarseness. He has a kind dark eye with a melting expression, a reachy neck into well laid-back shoulders and a good return of upper arm placing his legs, which are of good length well under his body. A level topline which he held on the move, short couplings strong in loin and a well-muscled second thigh. He moved out enthusiastically with his handler. Completely confident displaying a lovely Golden Retriever temperament.

1st McDonald, Miss M, LAMANCHA TIME TRAVELLER

A dark gold boy of 16 months, well presented, in a rich gold coat. He stood out today for his clean outline, nothing overdone, he has a majestic male head well chiselled with a deep muzzle, kind dark eyes and a well-defined stop, a good length of neck which flows into well laid-back shoulders and a dead level topline. He is deep through the body with plenty of heart room, well balanced with good corresponding angles, he is well off for bone and well-muscled. His reach and drive on the move are evident of his soundness and tip top condition. 

   

2nd Middlemiss Mr G & Miss S Brown, HARMARJOY YOU’RE MY LOVE

A pale coated boy of 11 months, placed 3rd in the very strong puppy class, my notes say a gentle boy I liked a lot!! He is very different in type from the winner, he is pale coated with gentle waves, a kindly expression with excellent pigment a good reach of neck into a level topline which he held on the move. He has good fore and aft angulation nothing exaggerated, he is well balanced, stood on straight legs good second thighs and well let down hocks. Coming from the puppy class he didn’t have the maturity of the winner, but that will come, he is definitely one to watch.

A mid-gold coated boy with a wavy coat with ample blond feathering, he was well presented in excellent condition, a handsome well-balanced compact dog when viewed from any angle.

A fabulous male head with a deep muzzle, good chiselling under kind dark eyes. A good length of neck into well laid-back shoulders with a nice return of upper arm. Deep through the chest with plenty of heart room level topline, short coupled with well-muscled second thigh and well let down straight hocks. Moved out with good reach and powerful rear drive.

1st Wallis Mrs K & Mr A Wallis, LAMANCHA ROLL ON GOOD TIMES

A pale coated dog of good proportion’s, one I have admired and judged before. He has a masculine head and dark pigment with a kind eye and a soft expression He displays a lovely clean outline when stacked. He is deep through the chest with a good layback of shoulder and return of upper arm, well sprung ribs, short couplings and well angled fore and aft with a level topline held on the move.

He moved out well with good driving action with good footfall. I was pleased to award him Best Dog.

 

2nd Warden Mrs A R, HOLINBRAE ZOOM TIME AT GLENTOCHTY

A mid gold boy completely different in type to the winner, slightly smaller framed, a compact boy presented in a mid-golden coat with attractive waves. He has a nice male head not over done with a gentle expression and kind dark eyes, a good reach of neck flowing into a laid-back shoulder placement with good return of upper arm. Plenty of depth to his body, a level topline and short couplings, well angled and balanced throughout, moved out well maintaining his topline and tail carriage.

1st Wallis Mrs K & Mr A Wallis, BLUE GEMSTONE KATRINA AT CAMELLIS

A mid gold coated boy, one I have judged before, he stands perfectly four square, attentive to his handler at all times. He has a typical male head, a soft expression with a kind eye. A good reach of neck and a laid-back shoulder placement, good return of upper arm and tight-fitting elbows, he is deep chested with plenty of heart room, strong in the loin with a level topline. He is well muscled with well-developed second thighs and a good bend of stifle, well let down hocks and good tail carriage. He makes a very pleasing picture standing and comes into his own on the move with good forward reach and drive, he displays his attributes with great showmanship.

Another lovely boy I’ve had the pleasure of judging before, he certainly is the showman. Beautifully presented in a mid-gold coat with waves in excellent condition. He has a handsome male head with a kind expression, a good reach of neck which flows into his laid-back shoulders and correct front assembly. A good length of leg, deep body and level topline, his rear quarters are well muscled with well let down hocks, he moved out well covering the ground with ease.

1st Munro Mrs C, THORNYWAIT ROYAL DESTINY FOR GLENBUIE

A ten-month-old puppy superbly presented in the most fabulous thick gleaming coat, she caught my attention as soon as she entered the ring, displaying such confidence and enthusiasm. She has a lovely sweet feminine head with black pigment and kind dark eyes, she has the correct earset and a good clean neck of good length. Shoulders well laid back with an excellent return of upper arm placing her legs well under her body. A good length of leg on cat like feet with tight fitting elbows. Her topline is dead level and held on the move, she is strong in the loin and well-muscled with well-developed second thighs. Her movement was effortless displaying good forward reach and rear driving action. I was pleased to award her Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy. I was absolutely delighted to hear she went on to win Best Puppy In Show.

 

2nd Saunderson Miss B, DRUMKILTY REBEL SONG FOR CROBEAG

Another superb quality puppy, aged 7 months, that stood out for me today, finer in type to the winner, nonetheless a beautiful young girl with lots to like about her. A sweet pale coated youngster with a very pretty feminine head with good pigment and dark eyes, she has the most gentle demeanour and soft expression. An excellent reachy neck into a correct front assembly, good lay back and return of upper arm placing her legs well under her body. She is level on her topline, short coupled with a nice turn of stifle, well let down hocks, her movement was free flowing and she covered the ground with ease.

A very attractive young bitch well presented in a beautiful pale coat, she is pretty and very feminine, a female head with a melting expression and good pigment. Good reach of neck into a well angled front assembly with corresponding rear angles, nothing overdone, a level topline held on the move, moved out well with a happy confidence about her, my notes say I liked her a lot, just pipped by the winner today.

Another beautiful girl I have had the pleasure of judging before as a puppy, all of her early promising attributes have developed beautifully. A mid gold coated girl with a lovely feminine head, soft kind dark eyes and the sweetest of expressions. Good length of neck flowing into correct front assembly, straight legs set well under her on tight cat like feet, well ribbed and well-muscled over the loin, corresponding rear angles depicting a balanced picture when viewed from any angle, good second thigh and well let down hocks, she moved out at one with her handler. Pleased to award her a first place.

Another lovely girl I have judged and appreciated when she was in junior. She is a larger framed girl than the winner, pale coated, a very attractive female head with excellent pigment and a kind gentle expression. A good length of clean neck into a well laid back shoulder placement with a good return of upper arm, a good depth of chest, legs straight and of ample length, well bodied with a nice spring of rib, level topline and strong hindquarters. Moved out well covering the ground with ease.

A very appealing bitch, of good proportions with a sweet female head and lovely dark pigment. A melting expression, with a good reach of neck into well laid-back shoulders. Level topline, short coupled, well-muscled over the loin, nice turn of stifle, well balanced and corresponding with her front angles. My notes say I liked the shape of this girl both stacked and on the move, maintaining her shape and enjoying her day with great energy.

 

2nd Patterson Irene, TIMELESS DREAMS IN SUMMER OF SUNSHINE’S VALLEY (imp Bel)

A pretty feminine girl, well presented today in a lovely mid gold coat, she has the softest expression, a super reach of neck into a good layback of shoulder, good return of upper arm, well-muscled forechest and tight-fitting elbows, good length of leg and tight neat feet. Her topline is level and held on the move, well-developed rear quarters with a nice turn of stifle. Moved out effortlessly at one with her handler.

1st Paterson Margo, TRYSTINTHORN MISS ELIZA

A stunning girl, well presented in the most eye-catching rich gold coat with pretty blonde feathering. She is compact and well bodied, a lovely female head with a melting expression. A good reach of neck into well angled front assembly, straight legs excellent well-developed brisket, deep through the body with plenty of heart room, short coupled, strong over the loin and firm rear quarters. When standing a picture of complete symmetry, movement was sound and free flowing.

 

2nd Bradley Mrs Mary, CEILCAESAR BEN AVON

A different type to the winner, she is an attractive sweet girl well presented in a mid-gold coat with gentle waves. I liked the overall shape of this girl, nothing overdone, she has the prettiest of heads her front angulation is textbook, excellent lay back of shoulder with a very good return of upper arm, straight legs and neat feet. Deep bodied and short coupled leading to equally corresponding rear quarters. Moved out well.

1st McDonald Miss M LAMANCHA QUESTION THE TRUTH.

This bitch excelled for me today, she caught my eye as she entered the ring. A pale coated girl with ample feathering, a sweet female head, excellent pigment and kind dark eyes, a deep muzzle and well-defined stop. A good reach of neck into a laid back shoulder placement nice return of upper arm and straight legs well under her body, a good forechest with plenty of depth, well ribbed and short coupled, topline firm and level, rear quarters well developed with good angulation. She covered the ground with ease, light on her feet. I was pleased to award her Best of Breed today and delighted to hear she was Reserve Best in Show.

 

2nd Hain Evelynne Fhairmhor WEE MIDDEN AT STRATHAIN

A lovely dark coated bitch that showed her socks off, she has super ring presence, bags of personality and confidence, she was well presented in a rich gold coat, stood perfectly four square with an ever wagging tail. A typical female head without coarseness and kind expression and dark eyes, a good length of neck into a very good front assembly, well laid-back shoulder with a good return of upper arm. Straight legs of good length, well bodied and deep through the chest, level topline, well angled rear quarters. This girl was attentive and biddable totally at one with her handler. She moved out well with good ground coverage.
