I’d like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this very well run show. They must have had a chat with the sun gods as it was a glorious day that enabled us to make use of the large grass outdoor rings, always the best place for Gundogs. To the exhibitors for entering and bringing along your lovely dogs for my opinion and to the other breed judges for sending through some quality exhibits for the groups.

Puppy 1

1st Tagg Mrs S Oiyou Layla Gocek

Lovely liver baby of 6 months, she has a pretty feminine head, good reach of neck, super depth for her age, straight front with good bone, her forechest is developing nicely she is balanced in outline and moved freely. BP & PG4

Post Graduate 5

1st Lane & Lane-Ridyard Mrs & Mrs RS & Mrs P Kulawand Callisto

Stunning 17 month male of good type. He has a lovely masculine head with intelligent expression. Stacked he presents a clean racy outline, his neck is of good length, he holds a level topline has good depth of chest well angled front with good return of upper arm placing his forelegs well under him. Strong rear quarters and well bent stifle. He flowed when he moved with good driving action in profile. Happy to award him BOB and later G1. One to watch.

2nd Pingree Ms S Telurn Final Attaction Among Heatheridge

This two years male impressed for substance, built on slightly larger lines than 1, his head is masculine, he has a well developed body with super bone and good feet. He moved well using his well muscled rear quarters to advantage.

Mature male of six years, he has a lovely outline when stacked. Head is masculine; he has a good length of neck and straight front. He has depth through body with super bone and feet. Well angled front and rear, with well muscled quarters, good width of thigh and well bent stifle. He moved well with driving action, RBOB

2nd Gardiner Miss AL Bitcon Taylor Made for Svenjak

Sweet feminine bitch with pretty head, good length to neck that flows into her level topline. She has good depth and presents a balanced picture. She moved well in all directions.

I was taken with this smart bitch of seven months, it’s fair to say she was giving her handler a hard time today, but I saw enough to see that she has a lovely balanced outline, she has good bone and depth for her age. She is well angled at both ends and when she concentrated long enough she moved out well. She was enjoying her day and I was happy to award her the class and BP.

2nd Cooper Mr W & Mrs S Deifstock Dare to Dream HWV

Sweet 6.5 month bitch that has a pretty head with lovely expression, her neck is of medium length, she has a straight front with good body for her age. She may be just going through a growth spurt as she appeared a little ‘bum high’ today. She moved out well in all directions.

1st Senior Miss H Oadswarren Feel the Heat At Alaszdale Hungarian Vizsla

12 month dog with a lovely outline, masculine head with eye colour corresponding to coat colour. Moderate depth to body, with straight front and neat feet. Level topline held on the move he is well angled front and rear and moved out with a graceful stride.

Super bitch that presents a balanced outline, lovely head good length of neck. Straight front. Well off for bone, She has depth in body and good forechest. Topline has the characteristic slight hollowness, she is well muscled and has strength in quarters, she moved well in all directions RBAVNSV

2nd Tudor Miss C AldomSweet Chestnut Hungarian Vizsla

Three year old male that is a bit high on the leg for me, but he has a masculine head with good neck length. Enough depth of chest. Good bone and tidy feet, he is well muscled and move out well.

1st Senior Miss H Feldirk Moon River of Alaszdale Hungarian Vizsla

Impressive five years male, he has a shapely outline and a lovely head with eye colour toning with coat. He is well angled front and rear with good bone and feet. He has depth to chest, with well muscled rear quarters that enable him to move out with driving action, striding out in profile. BAVNSC and G2

2nd Robinson Mrs G Gradevole Strufolli Italian Spinone

Super male of substance, with a masculine head, deep in muzzle and kind expression. Great body proportions with good depth to chest and well sprung ribs. He has ample bone and is well muscled which enabled him to move out well, his coat has the correct coarse texture that is required of the breed.

Puppy 1

1st Allen Mrs JA Corve Britannia Barbet

First time I have judged this breed, and it was the puppy and her handler’s first show. I found her to be a complete poppet, sweet feminine head with good body proportions, she is developing well, and she is balanced throughout, with good bone for her age. Her coat was in good condition hanging in curls to give a rustic appearance, she moved steady in all directions. BP Import and Res Best Import.

Shapely bitch of medium size and of good proportions, her head is feminine with a lovely alert expression. She has good depth of chest with well sprung ribs, nicely angled fore and aft with broad well muscled quarters. She moved well. Best Import.

1st Philo Ms SR Fydal Caprio at Salmonmist JW ShCM OWS ShCEx Pointer

Stunning O/W shapely male who has a lovely head that’s masculine but not over done with a kindly expression. His neck is of good length into his strong body, deep in chest and with well sprung ribs. He has a straight front and good bone. His rear quarters are strong, with good width of thigh and well turned stifle. He carried himself smoothly around the ring with his ground covering stride. So pleased to see him go Res Best Veteran in Show.

2nd O’neil Mrs CJ Sh Ch Tenshilling Home Alone JW ShCM Pointer

I am sure these two males swap places, but I just preferred the head of 1.

Another super male of good type, head is a little heavy for me but he scores in his muscular neck that is of good length he has well angled front and rear quarters and good deep brisket. Straight in front with good bone and feet. His rear quarters are strong and muscular which propelled him around the ring – he excelled in movement and is worthy of his title.

Worthy of his title this three year old male has a lovely head and soft expression, has good body proportions, and is balanced in outline. Just a little unsettled on the move today.

Wow! Loved this 7 months baby, stood he presents a flowing outline, his head is developing into a masculine head, he has depth in body, and a lovely forechest so often missing these days. He moved out with stylish ground covering strides. He should have a bright future.

Lovely Yellow bitch who’s head is feminine; she has substance but retains her femininity, lovely barrelled rib level topline and good angles with lovely strong rear quarters. She moved with ground covering strides.

Sweet red bitch, she has a balanced feminine head with a melting expression, good length of neck into level topline and body that is developing nicely. She moved out steady with that Cocker bustle
