Christmas Open Show

Saturday 7th December 2024

Thank you to the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at this lovely Christmas show, it was nice to see some of the exhibitors had entered into the Christmas spirit and dressed accordingly.

1st Kruglow Stowledge Scilla at Incantevole

What a lovely start to the day, this delightful puppy at her first show stole my heart. Lovely head with the kindest expression, she makes a lovely shape when stood, with correct topline, good depth and bone for her age, well angled front and rear, with good depth. She moved so well showing her free relaxed gait keeping her topline at all times. I couldn’t deny her BOB and she was so deserving of her Group 3 and puppy Group 2 places. I will watch her progress with interest.

Four years white and orange bitch, with faminine head and kind expression, good body proportions, strong neck into correct topline, good substance and bone, moved well. RBOB

1st Ball Kilnrae Black Sapphire

 21\2 years bitch, balanced head, with good width and depth to muzzle, good length of neck, level top line, straight front, with good bone and feet. Would have liked a touch more depth to brisket. She has good muscle to rear quarters, moved true in all directions. BOB

2nd Smith Kewstone Sea Queen Zena B 7 Months BP

What a sweetie, 7 months bitch, head is feminine, and still developing. She has a lovely shape with decent bone and body for her age. She makes a balanced shape when stood, still a bit at the legs and wings stage, but she is progressing in the right direction. Moved out steadily.

I really liked this bitch and thought she would be my BOB, sadly she got spooked in the challenge.

Super bitch of 3 years. Pretty balanced head, with good length and depth to muzzle. She looks back at you from her keen dark eyes.. Her long neck flows into her solid topline, she is strong through the body has good depth and well sprung ribs. Her front is straight; she is well boned with good angles front and rear. She moved out well showing her free flowing stride. RBOB

2nd Henderson When I was your Man Black Lofty ShCEx (Imp Pol)

Mature male, masculine head, decent length to neck, he’s a little soft in topline, but has a decent depth of chest, and stands on well boned legs. His rear quarters are well muscled and he moved well.

1st Pike Pike & Henderson Redclyst The Celt

Handsome male of 4 years, lovely balanced head with plenty of brain room. Super length of neck that flows into his firm topline. Ample depth of chest, straight front, standing on well boned legs and firm feet. Rear quarters strong with well turned stifle and good width of thigh. Moved out with good striding movement. RBOB

2nd Macdonald Sheldonite It Takes Two Baby

Good head on this young dog although stronger than that of 1, it is still balanced and he has an appealing expression. Built on larger lines, he has good depth, good width of thigh and is well boned. He moved a little erratic today, and I do think the handler could get more out of him on the stack.

1st Macdonald Redclyst Head Full of Dreams

This mature male is masculine all through, lovely head, strong neck, he has great depth and is well muscled throughout. He is straight in front with decent angles front and rear, he moved out with purpose.

2nd Henderson Szwjkowski & Pike Redclyst Pershing

Another super male, he makes a lovely flowing shape when stood, has super depth and spring of rib, strong through body with well muscled rear quarters. I just preferred the movement of 1.

1st Clarke Covarney Dream Time from Bronrians JW

Loved this feminine bitch, she makes a lovely racy outline when stood, pretty head, super length of neck that flows into her gently sloping topline. Straight in front, with good bone and feet, she has ample depth of chest and well sprung ribs, she has good angles front and back with good turn of stifle and width of thigh. She’s a real show off on the move with her free flowing stride. BOB G4

2nd Henderson Szwjkowski & Pike Grenada Lofty Czerwony (Imp Pol) B

Slightly larger framed bitch than 1, she is full of substance, feminine head, good length of neck, she falls away at the croup with affects her shape when stood. She has good front angulation, and well muscled rear quarters, preferred the movement of 1.

Handsome male of almost 3 years, clean cut head that is balanced with broad skull, eyes of good colour, giving a soft expression. Neck of good length, he has strength through body with good depth and bone. He is so well muscled – his rear quarters are solid. Correct bend to stifle and good feet. He moved out well with drive. BOB

2nd Atkins No More Cloudy Days

Pretty feminine bitch, lovely head and eye, her head is balanced, she is straight in front with good bone, enough neck, she tends to lose her topline when stacked, decent angles front and rear, moved well. RBOB

Pretty feminine head on this two years bitch that is wedge shaped and balanced. She has a good outline when stacked, neck is of good length. She has ample forechest, good depth of chest and strength over the loin. She has well muscled rear quarters and she moved out well in all directions. BOB

2nd Edworthy Mrs M Maycourt Heartbreaker

Substantial male of 4 years, my notes read ‘solid’ and he is. Masculine head, good body proportions, ample depth and rib, he has good rear quarters and is well boned. Moved ok. RBOB

1st Anderson Gunalt Gift of The Gab

Whoop Whoop, what have we here? A star in the making, I’m sure.

I was blown away by this delightful bitch, she is full of quality and at only 9 months of age must have a bright future.

She has the best of heads with eye colour toning with coat, feminine all through, but with strength throughout. Her strong clean cut neck flows into her strong level topline, her front is straight with forechest developing, chest is deep and well sprung with ribcage reaching well back, her rear quarters are well developed with moderate angulation and well bent stifle. She is so good on the move with her free flowing effortless stride. Thank you for bringing her for my opinion, she deserved her BOB, BP, G1, PG1 & BPIS

Masculine male of 2 years, lovely head, decent length of neck, strong straight front with good forrchest. Topline could be better, but he has great depth of chest and good rear quarters. Moved steady in all directions.

Promising youngster, up to size but has all the requirements to ensure he has a bright future. Lovely head with noble expression, good length of neck, enough depth with forechest developing. Legs well boned has decent angles front and rear, moved out well with ground covering stride. BP RBOB and I was informed later he won the puppy stakes – well done.

Quality bitch of 2 years, she caught my eye as she entered the ring. Super feminine noble head with eye colour toning with coat. She has a lovely outline when stood with good length of neck into her strong level topline, good depth and forechest, well boned, lovely rear quarters that she used on the move and her movement was purposeful with ground covering strides, nice to see her making good use of her tail. BOB G2

Another good bitch of 2 years, preferred head of 1. She has good body proportions, with depth and substance but without being overdone, she is feminine all through and she moved well.

2 years bitch, has strength throughout, her head is a little strong for me and I would have preferred a darker eye that said her head is balanced. Strong neck, depth through body, decent angles front and rear and she moved well in all directions. BOB

13 month O/W male of good proportions, has a flowing shape when stood, masculine head, good length of neck into firm topline. Brisket is deep and he’s well ribbed, has good angles both ends with strength in rear quarters, moved ok, I preferred movement of 2. BOB

Handsome male, a shade smaller that 1, but has a lovely head decent depth, straight front and stands on well boned legs. He moves out well diving from the rear with ground covering action and slashing tail. RBOB

Smart 2 years male, well proportioned head, strong neck into level topline, good body proportions, decent angles both ends. Stifle well bent with good width of thigh. He was a little erratic on the move today.

2nd Disney Wonlepong Willow Sunbird RBOB

Pretty bitch of 10 years, enjoying being out in the ring, muscular neck of good length, she’s a little soft in topline, but has good depth to body. She moves well with steady free action.

Pretty bitch just out of puppy, she has a lovely head with good eye colour. She makes a lovely shape when stood, feminine all through, with good depth of chest that is well ribbed. Topline has the correct slight hollowness, she has strength without being overdone. She moved out with drive showing effortless movement. She was a strong contender for a group place. BAVNSC

Wow, a real cracker from this kennel. This 7 years male is stunning, beautiful head with correct eye shape giving that kind expression typical of the breed. He flows from his strong neck to the end of his tail. He has great depth and well sprung ribs. Straight front, well laid shoulders with good return of upper arm, well muscled rear quarters that he used to his advantage on the move which was free flowing and stylish. Beautifully presented, as was all of the dogs from this kennel today. So pleased to see him awarded Res. BVIS

Rising 9 years male, has a masculine head, decent length of neck. Body is deep but he’s a little soft in topline, good bone and feet, he moved well but was just a little close at the back.

This smart B&T male took my eye when he entered the ring, lovely head, with good length of neck leading into his moderately long body with firm topline that he held on the move, he has strength throughout and holds a lovely shape both when stood and on the move. He moves with free flowing driving movement.

Really smart bitch of 20 months, lovely eggshaped head, muscular neck, she has strength all through with good angles fore and aft. she moved out so well with her smooth ground covering strides. A worthy Champion.
