Whippet

Puppy (4,1) 

1.Perkins’ Silkridge Rapture with Zeglynn. 7month dog, nice size with good topline and balanced outline. Arched neck, good chest and spring of rib, strong loin and well constructed rear. In super condition with fine coat, nice head and expression. Moved freely holding a good outline, just needs to strengthen in front. RBOB, BP, Puppy Group 2. 

2. Arkell’s Barnesmore Celtic King. 6month dog with long head, well tapered muzzle and strong jaw. Good reach of neck, straight front, a little too much angulation behind. Moved soundly. 

3. Johnson’s Cyangrange Tango Mango. 

Junior (3,1) 

1. Wheeler & Rutter’s Ranveli Royal Touch. Nice size and outline, well muscled and smooth to go over with good topline and curves. Good spring of rib and strong loin, correctly angulated rear with hocks well let down. Lovely head and expression with bright eyes and neat ears. Moved well, could strengthen in front. 

2.Arkell’s Hijacked of Suriya (imp deu) Slightly larger 12month dog who wasn’t as good out and back as 1 but has a nice elegant outline, long, lean head with nice eyes and alert expression.  

Post Grad (3) 

1.Perkins’ Southgrove Keep It Moving at Zeglynn. Smaller dog with nicely balanced outline, smooth and well muscled with enough neck, straight front, lovely chest and ribbing, strong loin, good topline and underline and correctly angulated rear. Good head and expression. Moved well in profile with decent length of stride, true out and back, maintaining a nice outline at all times. Totally unexaggerated. A change of handler in the challenge actually made him show himself off even better and his more accurate movement gave him the edge. BOB. 

2.Higginbottom’s Ranveli Royal Duke of Dawnsafon. A nice dog who just was not cooperating with his handler. Lovely elegant outline, a little flat in topline at present, good depth of chest and spring of rib. Masculine head with nice bright eyes and strong jaw. Moved soundly. 

3.Arkell’s Chikara Iz Doma Proninykh. 

Open (2,1) 

1.Perkins’ Zeglynn Hello You. 2 yr dog with sound front assembly, good underline, well turned stifles and well muscled rear. Masculine head of good length, flat skull and tapered muzzle. Moved freely, could be better out and back.  

AVNSC Hound 

Puppy (1) 

1.Bailey’s Greyflax Minnie The Moocher. Delightful Deerhound baby who was a little apprehensive at first but soon started to settle. Beautiful head of good length with expressive eyes and soft, high set ears. Strong neck into good shoulders, straight front, good bone, arched loin and well constructed rear. Moved well out and back, sound in profile and with more confidence I’m sure she’ll have a bright future. In quality shaggy coat and handled sympathetically. BP, Puppy Group 3. 

Junior (2,1) 

1. Clinton’s Akmar Napatan Gold For Westlawn. Tri bitch just out of puppy who presents a smart outline with good reach of neck, short level back, straight front with fine bone and good feet. Well sprung ribs, short strong loin and strong rear with high set tail. Feminine head, well tapered with dark eyes and typical expression, well set and used ears and strong jaw. Moved freely with good length of stride, good out and back and maintaining a balanced outline in profile. Best AVNSC, Group 2. 

Post Grad (1) 

1.Heyman’s Magical Saskia. Greyhound with pleasing outline, strong neck, good depth of chest, well bent stifles and good bone. Pleasant head with intelligent expression. Moved soundly, a little untidy coming. 

Open (4, 3) 

1.Finch’s Ch. Conestoga And Crossroads English Dream at Otterslade (imp usa). Beautiful quality Otterhound bitch handled to an advantage. Balanced in outline and strongly built with beautiful head and expression, domed skull, long, low set, folded ears and strong muzzle. Soundly constructed with strong bone, good chest and ribbing, level topline and moderate rear angulation. Moved with an easy action. Reserve best AVNSC. 

AV Hound 

Puppy (3,2) 

1.Hicks’ Nuthouse Going For Gold. Feminine R Ridgeback with appealing head properties and alert expression. Good neck and shoulders, firm topline, good chest and ribbing, strong loin and well angulated rear. Moved with a lovely action covering the ground with ease. 

Junior (5,2) 

1.Whitton’s Haggatty Callisto. 13month Beagle with correctly shaped head, nice eyes and soft expression. Presented in super condition, good neck and shoulders, firm topline, good chest and ribbing, well turned stifles and parallel rear. Moved well with good reach and drive. 

2.Smith’s Ungowa Here You Come Again. R Ridgeback with well balanced outline, maturing well for her age with good spring of rib and depth of chest, good front and rear assembly and firm topline both standing and moving. Feminine head of good proportions with intelligent expression. Moved well in all directions holding her outline firm.

1.Higginbottom’s R Royal Duke of D. See whippet. 

2.Phillips’ Birichino Barley of Robinswood. Min w/h dachs with a neat shape, shoulder could be better, well ribbed back with good clearance beneath, firm topline, rear could be stronger. Well shaped head with nice eyes and well used ears. Moved soundly. 

3.Hall’s Kenzduo Daffodil. 

Open (2,1) 

1.Hall’s K. Daffodil. Strongly built R Ridgeback bitch with good reach of neck, strong bone and good feet. Pleasing head properties with flat skull, high set ears and powerful muzzle. Moved better here than the previous class. 

Veteran (5,3) 

1.Phillips’ Stargang High Hopes of Robinswood. Almost 10yr msh dachs with super front and rear assembly, lovely chest and ribbing, good topline, underline and clearance beneath. Correctly shaped head with dark eyes, good mouth, and well set and used ears. Moved smartly mantaining a firm outline and proud head carriage. In superb condition. 

2.Murphy’s Black Royal at Rhosyndu. Almost 9 yr Beagle and another lovely veteran. Beautiful expression, nice eyes and well balanced length of muzzle. Sound construction and fit condition with pleasing front and rear assembly, good topline and tail carriage and good bone. Moved happily. 

Hound Group 

1.Hunt’s Dufosee Iyla at Bondlea Jw (Beagle) Super quality bitch who stood out here. Feminine head of good proportions with defined stop, beautiful eyes and correctly set long ears, Ample reach of neck into lovely front assembly, good chest and ribbing, firm topline and well set and carried tail. Moved accurately with good reach and drive.

Hound Puppy Group 

1.Doughty’s Rubiltra Gunna Be Devine (Rhodesian Ridgeback) Beautiful puppy who was the standout winner here. Lovely outline, balanced and strongly built with super neck and shoulders, firm topline, well set and carried tail and strong rear. Super head and expression with dense pigment, strong muzzle and well set and used ears. Moved with ease and accuracy holding her outline firm. In gleaming condition.
