It was a pleasure to judge BIS at the very well organised and supported show and I thank the committee for the invitation and wonderful gift. The weather was kind, if not a bit hot at times.
BIS went to the Border Terrier Shields & Glen’s CH LIATCH MADAME POMMERY AT WILHOLME JW SHCEX OSW, a super young lady full of quality and putting on quite the show. She is a wonderful size, spans easily, has the most delightful head and expression and is soundly made. Coat of super texture smartly presented. Sound and workmanlike on the move.
RBIS was my Gundog Group winner, the WSS, Graham’s SH CH NYLIRAM THE MOTH CATCHER. Judged her as a young Junior and she has really matured into a lovely example of the breed. Super for size and type and as sound as a bell. Presented in first class order.
BPIS also came from the Gundog Group in the form of the Irish Setter, Bott, Allen & Morgan’s QUENSHA THE ONE MAN SHOW, very smart and racy in outline without any weediness. He has a super topline and tailset, which he holds on the move. Angles in the right place and sound out and back. He looked great in profile and I’m sure he will be another champion for this kennel.
RBPIS the delightful Lowchen, Morgan-Stanley’s GOLDBOURNE JUST A DIAMOND. A real prospect and all of a piece already. Perfect for size, delightful head and expression and presented perfectly. Moved with style and soundness.
BVIS was the Siberian Husky, Allen-Davern & Hughes’ CH SIBERIADRIFT KEEP THE LOVE FOR ZIMAVOLK JW AHCM, in the most wonderful condition and a real cracker. Covered the ground in typical fashion, with super carriage and could keep going all day.
RVIS the Shetland Sheepdog, Schofield’s TOORALIE INDIGO VIOLET, Blue merle of good type and size. Pleasing for head properties and an alert expression. Super condition and moved out well keeping her outline.
Best Import In show was the Black & Tan Coonhound, Stephenson’s ROLENSKA FAITH IN YOU AT BONDGATE, very typical and full of quality this young lady moved out soundly and stylishly. Has substance yet retains a look of femininity. Liked her.
Best RBOB in show was the Weimaraner, Alcorn & Ingram’s GUNALT MIXER, quite delightful for type and the perfect size. Sound as a pound and beautifully handled. Loved her head and expression and she has all in the right place. Champion quality for sure.
