Puppy (2,0)

1st Longhurst’s & Greenway’s Simmovon Charm Writer at Spotarton. A dog of nice type and developing along nice lines. Masculine head of good proportions, with typical expression. Arched neck. Well angulated fore and aft. Correct body proportions. Firm topline. Correct set of tail and carries it well on the move. Sound mover. Felt he would be a strong contender for BOB, but unfortunately went lame in the challenge.

2nd: Holtappel’s Due Parchi In Bocca Al Luppo. Feminine. More immature than 1st. Quite nice head and expression. Eyes well spaced. Ears set ok. Moderate length to neck. Moderate angles fore and aft. Deep enough in chest. Firm topline. Not as precise in movement as 1st

1st: Holtappel’s Bryning Dragons Dare. Best head in the class. Good eyes for shape and set. Ears set correctly. Neck ok for length. Ok angles fore and aft. Deep chest of correct width. Good bone. Ribs carried well back. Firm topline. Tail set and carriage good. Sound mover. BOB

2nd: Buckley’s Amkamel Half Blood Prince. Head is masculine and of correct proportions. Eyes well- spaced and correct for shape. Bit squarer than 1st in body and carrying just a shade too much weight for me. Neck a tad short. Moderate angles. Chest is ok for width and depth. Topline firm. Moved ok in profile, but rather close behind.

Rough Collie – Some great dogs here.

Puppy (1,0)

1st: Mills’ Hanvale Edina Monsoon at Lemivee. Stood alone here, but a bitch of super quality. Gorgeous head and expression. Correct shape to eyes which are really well set. Lovely parallel head planes and proportion of skull to muzzle. Nice strength to skull whilst retaining her femininity. Good underjaw. Ears well set and enhance her expression. Good neck and well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Chest developing well. Firm topline. Well bent stifles, low set hocks. Tail reaches to hocks. Fantastic mover and so well presented BP and RBOB

What a super quality class

1st: Cronk’s Skabona If I Saw You In Heaven for Chelborn (Imp Swe). Wow! She took my heart from the minute I saw her. Such a feminine merle of good colour. Great head shape with super parallel head planes. Enough underjaw. Correct shape to skull and muzzle and well proportioned. Great neck leading to super, well laid shoulders. Excellent return of upper arm. Super bone. Chest reaches to elbows and has enough width. Ribs carried well back. Firm topline and muscular loins. Well-turned stifles and low set hocks. Tail is well set and she carries it perfectly on the move. In the most super coat and condition. Outstanding mover. One of the best Roughs I’ve had the pleasure to judge. Super!

1st: Cronk’s Skabona If I Saw You In Heaven for Chelborn (Imp Swe).

2nd: Cronk’s Chelborn Tell Me Your Wish. Another so good for type, and of and excellent make and shape. Gorgeous, expressive eyes. Excellent head planes. Ears look just a tad lower set. Blunt wedge. Medium length to neck. Well laid shoulder and good return of upper arm. Nice for bone. Correct feet and pasterns. Deep chest of good width and length of ribcage. Correct topline for the breed and rear is well angulated. Tailset and carriage ok. Moves nicely in profile, but not with the preciseness of the winner out and back. Two beautiful girls

3rd: Gelder’s Libanel Erebus Eternal Love

1st: Rose’s Uffspring Ultravox For Coloratura. A very attractive bitch. Lovely eyes for shape and set. Nice even wedge and parallel head planes. Well positioned stop. Ears maybe a tad large, but are ok for set, Moderate length of neck. Moderate angles fore and aft. Chest ok for depth and width. Topline is level. Tail is a tad high set. Moves soundly. Very well handled.

2nd: Cronk’s Chelborn That’ll Do. Fab head and expression. Just what I like. Lovely eyes for shape and set and super expression. Parallel head planes. Good underjaw. Nice body shape and well angulated. Strong topline. Well set tail. Coat looked and felt a bit ‘woolly’ and she didn’t move with the verve and drive of the winner.

1st: Wray-Ramsden’s Arohahills A Star Is Born for Takhisis (Imp Zaf). A very promising young Aussie indeed with strong build and lovely outline. Good head shape and expression with correct head planes. Great neck. Excellent shoulders and upper arm. Deep chest. Strong topline and loins. Excellent turn of stifles and well let down hocks. Very positive on the move with a lovely action. BP

Junior (1,0)

1st: Bluck, Timperon & Edwards’ Triforce Fin Raziel. Most attractive and nice for size. Eyes ok for shape and set. Parallel head planes. Correct degree of stop and proportions of skull to muzzle. Great shoulders and upper arm. Standing a little 10 to 2 at the moment, so just needs to tighten all through. Deep chest and nice long ribcage. Firm loins. Good bend of stifles and strong hocks. Liked her. Sound on the move.

Post Graduate (2,1)

1st: Mee & Holligans’ Lamintone For A Reason (AI). Reminded me of some of the dogs back in the early 90’s. 21 months with masculine head. Really kind expression. Good head planes. Proportions of skull to muzzle are ok. Neck just a tad short and shoulder could have slightly more layback. Deep chest. Firm, level topline. Strong loins. Moderate turn to stifles. Great feet and bone. Raises legs a tad high in front on the move and a tad close behind. Very well presented.

1st: Wray-Ramsden’s Caronlea Celtic Fire Starter For Takhisis JW (AI) (IKC). One I have judged before, indeed awarding him BIS the last time out. It is obvious I think he is a cracking boy of great style and presence. Great conformation and so well put together. In such fabulous conditioning and so well presented. Superb mover with excellent reach and drive and so positive out and back. Super boy. BOB

2nd: Hutchcroft’s Allmark One of These Days. Of a type that I really like. Most lovely head with great head proportions, head planes, eyes shape and set. Ears of correct shape and set. So well made with excellent angulation. Deep chest and well ribbed. Super body proportions. Superb side gait, just crabbed a little going away. Very well handled.

3rd: Venton’s Little Red- Cap Du Chemin Des Korrigans VW (Imp Fra)


Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

1st: Irving’s Twinan Shield of Steel. 9 months and what a cracker! Already a lovely shape to head with typical expression and head proportions. Ears are well positioned and of a good size. Great neck Super shoulders and upper arm is set very well to allow great freedom of movement. Super topline and loins. Moderate angulation below and strong hocks. Lovely fox brush. Great substance and a cracking mover. Really takes your eye. Must be a sure-fire champion in the making. Very well presented. BOB

1st: Roper’s Twinan Raise Your Game. I felt this young bitch had such feminine head with lovely head shape, proportion of muzzle to skull and lovely eye shape. Her ears are well set. Well-angulated all through. Body developing well. A little up behind at the moment but showing such great promise. Tail well set and carried well on the move. Great mover with lovely freedom of action. BOB

2nd: Irving’s Born To Be Your C’est La Vie Twinan (Imp Hun). 6 months and rightly very immature. Very handsome and showing a lovely outline and proportions. Head is developing well with lovely shape to eyes and a really endearing expression. Ears are well set and ok for size. Reachy neck. Good shoulders. Enough daylight under him. Well bent stifles. Tail set and carriage good. Just that bit more immature and less co-ordinated than 1st. RBOB

1st: Roper’s Twinan Raise Your Game.

2nd: Irving’s Craigycor Golden Ticket by Twinan (IKC) A very nice 6 month old. Masculine head with typical expression. Good eye shape. Ears could perhaps be a tad wider set. Well balanced skull to muzzle. Firm front of good width. Well put together. Good length through the ribcage. Firm loins. Correct tail set and carriage. Rather erratic on the move today, but what I did see was extremely sound.

1st Roper’s Cardigan Bay. A little ‘pointy’ in muzzle for my preference and ears a little bit low set. Eyes ok for shape and set. Neck moderate in length. Moderate angulation fore and aft. Could be slightly better balanced fore and aft. Deep chest. Enough daylight underneath. Topline firm. Moved soundly. Well presented.

1st. Tarasinska’s Siberianmist Lagertha. A superb Sammy. Lovely head and expression with good wedge and smiling expression. Super dark eyes and pigment. Lovely ears for set and shape and well furred. Super neck. Great angulation fore and aft. Excellent body shape. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Super topline. Strong loins. Excellent high tail set. Typical shape to feet. In pristine condition and the sun was really showing off her wonderful silver tips. Superb mover in all directions. Looked an absolute picture here. Top quality and superbly handled. Loved her. BOB

2nd: Cornwell’s Jewel Child of Joy Orleansnow (Imp Cze) A pretty bitch. Typical shape to head and very attractive smiling expression. Good ear set. Neck moderate for length. Straighter in shoulder and upper arm than 1st. Bit longer through the body than 1st. Good coat. High set tail. Moved soundly. Well handled.

1st: Tarasinska’s Siberianmist Odin. Masculine dog with lovely dark eyes and pigmentation. Good wedge with enough strength for a male. Well set ears which are well furred and of a correct shape. Super neck. Well laid shoulders. Deep chest. Firm topline. Could have slightly more angle of stifles and definition of hocks. Lovely coat with silver tips. High set tail. Moves soundly. RBOB

1st: Wesson’s Csulli Lemonade Kisses. Tallish. Sturdy. Square in outline. Head is longish with correct length of muzzle. Eyes are dark, oval in shape and set slightly obliquely. Ears are high set. Prominent withers. Moderate angulation all through. Level topline. Short enough in back. Short loins. Tail set on high. Sound, lively mover. RBOB

1st: Jonhs’ Breezelyn Ears A Top Tip at Alepenkye. One I have judged quite recently and same comments apply as then. Head is typical and she is square enough in body. In great condition with good angulation. Level topline. Short loins. Good coat. Moved very soundly.

Open (3,1)

1st: Johns’ Breezelyn Ears A Breakthrou for Alepenkye. Another I have judged recently. She went so much better here and looked a real picture. Like her for size. Beautiful head which is long and well-proportioned and with a great expression. Lovely to go over with ideal angulation. Super square in outline. Level topline. Belly is tucked up giving that typical underline of the breed. Great coat and superb mover. Very well handled as usual. BOB

2nd: Wesson’s Csulli Christmas Candy. Quite typical in head. Eyes maybe a tad full, but ok for colour, Ears are high set. Good neck and moderate angles. Would prefer a slightly squarer outline. Typical underline. Tail set high. Very sound mover.

1st: Vorrias’ Windgunn’s Firestarter. A very nice shapely Shepherd. Masculine head. Eyes are good for shape and set. Ears are of correct height and are well set. Slightly arched neck which is nice and muscular. Well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Good bone and length of foreleg, Super strong topline and rear. Well bent stifles and strong hocks. Super side gait. Very well handled. In excellent condition. BOB

Puppy (3,1)

1st: Pallatina’s Valltineya Lasso Ur Dreams (Swedish Vallhund). A really nice shapely Vallhund. Ideal size for age. Good blunt wedge. Almost flat skull. Muzzle slightly shorter than skull. Medium size eyes which are dark in colour. Medium size ears that are pointed. Well laid shoulders, Upper arm is correct for length. Correct body length. Level back. Strong loins. Well-turned stifles. Tail set on correctly. Typical harness markings present. Excellent mover. Best AVNSC Pastoral

2nd: Thornton’s Merdelaine Colossus. (Beauceron). I felt this was a very nice shapely Beauceron. A little hard to assess here, just needs a little more training. Looks great in profile with excellent angulation. Level topline. Double dew claws. Sound mover.

AV Pastoral Veteran (8,2)

1st: Venton’s Little Red- Cap Du Chemin Des Korrigans VW (Imp Fra) Australian Shepherd. Had really settled by this time. Very pretty with a super head. Lovely eyes and expression. Moderate all through and well angulated. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Level topline. Very strong, sound mover.

2nd: Butterworth’s Ch Koromandel Gild The Lily. Norwegian Buhund. Typey Buhund with shapely, wedge-shaped head. Lovely dark eyes and typical expression. Pointed ears of correct size. Moderate length to neck and medium angulation both fore and aft. Square in shape. High set tail. Super sound mover.

3rd: Unwin & Winter’s Ch Bonvivant Gigi ShCM
