AVNSC Working

Puppy (1,0)

1st: Shopland’s Piechottka Incredible Hulk. (Dogue De Bordeaux). Very well schooled youngster and looking nice here today. Typical in head. Strong muscular neck. Well-made body with good bone. Topline typical. Sound on the move. Best AVNSC Puppy.

Open (1,0)

1st Osborne’s Nexgen All Eyez on Me. A very standard fitting Leonberger. Strongly built but not cloddy and overdone. Head is in balance with equal proportions of skull to muzzle. Slight arch to skull. Medium stop. Oval eyes of medium brown colour. Well set ears. Moderate length of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good length and return of upper arm. Deep chest. Correct in body proportions. Slight tuck up. Firm back and broad loins. Well angulated stifles. Well set and carried tail. Ok for colour. Very free and easy mover. Best AVNSC Working.

Boxer

Junior (4,1,)

All quite different stages of development.

1st Kuech’s Boese Jiggercelo. I felt her to be quite shapely and developing along nice lines. Typical head with typical underjaw, width and proportions. Feminine. Dark brown eyes with intelligent expression. Ears well set. Neck could be a tad longer with more arch. Moderate, balanced angulation fore and aft. Square enough in outline. Typical underline. Chest still to drop more. Cat like feet. Showed a good action. Should develop on nicely. BOB, BP

2nd: Merritt’s Diceulon Top Hat and Tails at Merquin (AI). A little coarse in head perhaps, eyes a little fuller and not such good expression as 1st. Nice arch to neck, but a tad short for me. Front more upright than 1st. Good bone and feet. Deep chest. Topline slopes a little much for my preference but is firm. Strong, short loins. Square in shape. Well-turned stifles. Not as clean as 1st on the move.

3rd: Longley’s Limkyns Moonlight Tango with Attomic

Post Graduate Dog (3,1)

1st: Lock’s Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW. A little coarse in the head for me and rather ‘lippy’. Eyes are dark in colour. Square in outline. Neck could have a tad more arch. Shoulders are quite well laid back and decent return of upper arm. Deep chest. Good bone and feet. Slight slope to topline and typical underline. Moderate turn of stifles. Firm hocks. Tail set and carriage are good. Sound mover.

2nd: Allen-Maher’s Invictadaw Raquel. For me, she didn’t really present the typical Boxer shape. She has a very charming expression and is well built all through for angulation. Looks a little too leggy. Strong loins. Moved soundly.

Open (2,0)

1st: Wilson’s Thorpaige What A Kerfuffle JW. A lovely head overall with correct expression. Eyes are dark and ears are set correctly. She’s shapely, but I would like more arch to neck and better return of upper arm to set her legs well under her. Deep chest. Prominent withers. Slight slope to topline. Tail set on correctly. Rather more angulation behind than forehand and so not quite so well balanced as my BOB. In great condition and moved soundly. RBOB

2nd: Wheeler’s Olibetay Bella Rose At Hipkins JW. Broader in skull than winner. Eyes rather too large and full. Good underjaw. Like 1st, arch to neck could be better and shoulders could be laid back more. Upper arm angles back just enough. Preferred her topline to winner as it was less extreme. Deep chest. Typical underline. Moderate turn of stifles. Square and well proportioned. Sound.

Bullmastiff

Open (1,0)

1st: Todd & Smith’s Alonzobar Red Sky For Delarhia. A masculine dog with square head, typical skull and jaw. Strong, muscular neck. Very broad and well-muscled. Strong in bone. Well constructed. Firm topline. Moved very soundly and coped well in the heat.

Dobermann

Post Graduate (1,0)

1st: Gallagher’s Manzart Excalibur at Izralight. Quite typical in head with good length and with decent depth of muzzle. Lovely dark almond shaped eyes. Little short in neck. Front is medium in angulation. Needs to develop in forechest. Quite square in body. Good for bone. Little upright in stifles. Tail set correctly. Moved soundly. RBOB

Open (1,0)

1st: Ingram, Ingram, Tousent & Lack’s Jojavik Spangled Mob JW. Liked her head which was feminine but with strength and she has a very typical expression. Good overall length to head and depth of muzzle. Neck ok for length, Shoulders moderate for angulation. Would like more forechest and upper arm could be longer and more angled to set forelegs well under her. Deep chest with ribcage carried well back. Slight slope to topline. Well filled croup. Tail carried correctly. Rather more angulated behind. Was not quite as flowing on the move as I like to see, but she was sound. BOB

Rottweiler.

1st: Allen’s Jodipas Time Ex. A typical bitch in head and overall outline. Moderate length to neck. Shoulders are well laid. Upper arm a little upright. Firm topline. Chest reaches to elbow. Correct body proportions. Well-turned stifles. Hocks are well set, but she is slightly weak in one which showed when she moved away. Very sound and typical in side action. Well handled. BP

2nd: Pamplin’s Jaqary Kiss From A Rose. I liked the structure and overall conformation of this one. Perhaps not quite as good in head as 1st. Good length to neck and really well laid shoulders and sufficient return of upper arm. Level topline. Good bone for size. Not as quite as expansive in side gait as the winner.

3rd: Smith’s Jaegerot Mr Marvellous

Post Graduate (2,0)

1st: De Vries’ Abacab’s Fading Lights. Strong in head. Dark eyes. Muscular neck. Good angles, not quite the shape I was looking for. Well sprung ribs. Well handled. Moved soundly.

2nd: Kichenside’s Mamba Is Rojaus Slenio. I felt this one was more typical in head than 1st and overall of a good type, but she was too weighty in body and her topline was dipping . Well angulated and can move soundly.

Open (1,0)

1st: Allen’s Jodipas Valen Time (AI) JW. I very much liked the overall shape of this 2 year old. Not overdone, but still developing. Head is typical for the breed with a lovely expression. Really well balanced throughout. Maybe a tad leggy. Topline firm and typical in underline. Good feet and correct tail set and carriage. Easily the soundest here with a very nice length of stride and good reach and drive. Well presented. BOB.

AVNSC Pastoral

Really super classes, full of quality.

Puppy (9,6) A lovely class

1st: Rutland & Porter Mellowdee Diamond Lil. OES. The moment I saw this puppy, I knew she would be special and I was not at all disappointed when I went over her. Absolutely gorgeous outline. Square and strong, yet feminine. Lovely head. Eyes set well apart and she had a beautiful expression. Super length of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Excellent return to upper arm. Compact and firm in body. Breed typical topline. Well-turned stifles and low set hocks. Cracking mover showing effortless reach and drive, covering the ground so well. Superb presentation. A really exciting prospect and I am sure she will have an amazing future. BP.

2nd: Leggett’s Mellowdee Sapphire Moon Avec Meldale. OES One I have liked and commented on before. She is still most appealing and of top quality. Sister to 1st and so many similar attributes. She is slightly smaller and not quite so mature as 1st, but is equally as well made and a lovely shape. Didn’t quite move as well as 1st in the extreme heat of the ring but was super sound and is certainly another who I am sure will be pushing for top awards in her breed as she matures. Beautiful

3rd: Spalding’s Brownieglen Hot Spoon Trix . Welsh Corgi Pembroke.

Junior (3,1). Lovely class again.

1st: Leggett’s Mellowdee Sapphire Moon Avec Meldale. OES

2nd: Wilson’s Jandale Precious Secret. Briard. A very standard fitting young Briard. Has that typical rugged appearance. Correct shape to skull and muzzle. Well defined stop. Dark brown eyes giving a typical expression. Ears set on high. Balanced in angulation. Firm topline. Double dew claws present. Moved smoothly in profile. Could be tidier behind.

Post Graduate (6, 2)

1st. Johns’ Breezelyn Ears a Breakthrou For Alepenkye. Up to size. Such a smart Pumi who was up on her toes. Typical expression. Enough length to head. Eyes slightly obliquely set and medium in size. Ears are high set. Good neck and shoulders. Topline is level. Back is short enough. Nice outline. Moderate bend to stifles. Tail is set high. Really lovely mover from all angles. Very well presented. RBOB

2nd: Wilson’s Jandale Precious Secret. Briard.

3rd: Aristides-Pickard’s Sambreeze Mikki Bear Cub. Finnish Lapphund

Open (7,1)

1st: Barnes & Kings’ Ch Starvon Fame Awaits For Izlou JW. Swedish Vallhund, A new Vallhund to me and she really took my eye from the start. Wonderful shape and gorgeous head and expression. Has a lovely blunt wedge and muzzle is slightly shorter than skull. Good underjaw which ensured she didn’t look snipey. Dark, oval eyes. Pointed ears of medium size. Reachy neck. Wonderful shoulders, upper arm and bone. Level back. Correct depth of chest. Clearly defined harness markings. Well sprung ribs which are carried well back. Slight tuck up. Well bent stifles and low set hocks. Outstanding mover in all directions. Handled to perfection. A real stunner. BOB

2nd: Johns’ Breezelyn Ears A Top Tip At Alepnkye. Hungarian Pumi. A gorgeous girl with the best of heads. Ultra typical in all respects. Wonderful expression. She is at the smaller end of the standard and is very well made with balanced angles fore and aft. Square. In good coat and great condition. I loved her personality! Moved with consummate ease – when she wanted to! Beautiful girl.

3rd: Cheal’s Carolelen Composer at Faemadra

Border Collie

Junior (2,0)

1st: Bartlett’s Cwnhapus Jewel In The Crown. Developing along nice lines. Typical in head and expression. Dark eyes. Well constructed. Well ribbed. Deep chest. Good for bone. Topline firm. Tail set typical for the breed. Very sound indeed but would prefer a slightly stealthier gait.

2nd Simmons’ Simmovan Follow My Heart. Attractive head and expression. A little long in back and short in foreleg. Moderate and balanced angulation. Moved soundly.

Open (1,0)

1st Bartlett’s Cwnhapus Celestial Beauty. Quite typical in head with enough breadth to skull. Eyes are dark and give a typical expression. Reachy neck. Shoulders are well laid back and upper arm returns sufficiently. Well proportioned and good in body. Moved soundly. In beautiful condition. BOB

German Shepherd Dogs

Such a mix of types, makes and shapes.

Junior (3,1)

1st: White Jojoba Wyoming. A real baby. I thought this young dog had the best shape here today. Typical in head with a great expression. Alert. Reachy neck. Well laid shoulders and good return to upper arm. Chest deep but still needs to broaden. Topline is ok and doesn’t fall away too excessively. Tail is well set. Bone to develop on. Sometimes a little uncoordinated on the move, but when he did get into his stride, he did show soundness and good ground coverage. BOB

2nd: Witomska’s Bentley Olimpus Family Vom Nosspeedo (Imp Pol) A well presented dog. Feminine enough. Well balanced head with typical skull to muzzle ratio. Alert enough. Preferred overall shape and type of 1st and not such a reachy gait as the winner.

Post Graduate (3,2)

1st Brown’s Abidejack Siggy at Darveldown. Very traditional, old school looking GSD, but so well put together with great construction and soundness. I felt her head was very typical. Lovely neck. Deep chest which was carried well back. Firm topline, but not the outline I was really looking for. Sound mover.

2nd: Witomska’s Bentley Olimpus Family Vom Nosspeedo (Imp Pol)

Rough Collie

Junior (3,1)

1st: Stillwell’s Wicani That’s Amore with Bellawave. I thought this a quite promising young Rough. Well-proportioned skull with medium stop. Parallel head planes. Well placed ears which were used to advantage. Correct neck. Well laid shoulders and return of upper arm. Body was pleasing Well angulated stifles and low set hocks. Correct length of tail which was also carried well. Moved very soundly.

2nd: Bullock’s Ladnar Heartstrings. Head is quite typey with good head planes. Good underjaw and typical expression. A little upright in shoulder and steep in upper arm. Needs a little more bone. Perhaps a tad square in outline. Well bent stifles. Low set hocks. Sound

Post Grad (3,2)

1st Perrott’s Gataj Lightning Flash. For me, head planes were not quite parallel and I would like a stronger underjaw. Almond shapes eyes which are dark in colour. Ears set is correct. A tad short in neck. Moderate angles fore and aft. Firm topline. Deep chest and well set elbows. Tail is well set and carried ok. Low set hocks. Very well presented and handled.

Open (3,1)

1st: Perrott’s Gataj One Moment In Time. A very standard fitting bitch. Very typical head and expression. Parallel head planes. Well set ears. Good length to neck. Well angulated fore and aft. Firm topline. Deep chest. Well ribbed. Good bone. Topline is firm. Well set tail which she carried well also. Low set hocks. Moved a little sluggish in the extreme heat, but easy BOB here for overall type and conformation. BOB

2nd: Eardley’s Aqualita Miss Moneypenny. An ultra-attractive Rough with very typical expression. Quite well put together. Ok for bone. Well proportioned. In great coat and condition. Moved soundly.
