I would like to thank the committee of Yorkshire Cocker for inviting me to judge my first breed show. Hats off to the committee for pulling off such a well run show when they were hit with a change of venue 2 days before the show. 


Thanks to Neil and Pat for keeping the ring running smoothly and all of the exhibitors for accepting my placing in such a sporting manner.


I had some lovely dogs to go over with hair splitting decisons in some classes. 


It's a shame i came across a few incorrect bites.


Class 1. Veteran. (8, 1A) 

What a class to start with. 

1st Robinson Wilmerella Perfect Storm 7 Year dark B/R Dog, who was in his best behavior today. Masculine head, kind dark eye, good neck and lay of shoulder, return of upperarm, Big ribs, strong loin, wel rounded qaurters moved well. Pleased to award him BVIS


2nd Beevers Snowgate Parti Over to Dandyjan, 8 year old dark blue with a handsome head. Pleasing front with good length to upper arm. Well boned legs, nicely angled rear. In excellent coat and condition. Sound, happy mover just prefered the topline of 1.


3rd Peterson Ir Sh Ch Cassom Moonbeam JW 


Class 2. Puppy Any Colour Puppy. (1)

1st Stapley Ludzska Royal Sapphire 10 month B/R dog, happy boy, head developing nicely, kind eye, well angulated front and rear. Moved ok.


Class 3. Novice Any Colour (3,1A)

1st Williams Wilmerella Highlander, young blue who is a few days out of puppy, his head is of typical shape and balance with dark expressive eyes. Shoulders are well laid back with matching upper arm, his ribs are well sprung,short in the loin, well muscled quarters. Which he used to power round the ring. Will watch his career with interest.


2nd Scott, Cassom Betty Rizzo, 4 year B/R, B who left her her parti dress at home but it didnt distract from her make and shape, she is short and compact, ok bone, short in loin, moved well.


Class 4. Graduate Any Other Colour (7,1A)

1st Darby Classicway Chiming Bells, B/R, B, one who needs to be handled to be appreciated, head is so feminine with melting expression, everything fits together so well, she is short and deep and used her well made quarters to drive round the ring.


2nd Bacon Timbric Doris Day JW close call and much of what i said about 1 applies to this girl i just prefered the head of 1. 


3rd Gilmour Chavez Silver Cloud 


Class 5 Open Any Colour (5,2A)

1st Collins Bartonholm Prince of Tides at Candyke JW, mature B/R boy who is in his prime, masculine head, plenty of bone, beautiful lay of shoulder & return of upper arm, big ribs, short loin, lovely big bum, well angulated backend, short below the hock which enabled him to power round the ring. RBIS


2nd Marsden Chativore Winter Soltice 6 year blue roan masculine head, he has enough width of forechest and a depth of brisket and good ribbing moved steadily holding his level topline


3rd Proudler Kimapa Kocka Kaia


Class 6 Puppy Red,Golden,Black,Black/Tan,Liver,Liver/Tan (2,2A)


Class 7 Novice Red,Golden,Black, Black/Tan,Liver,Liver/Tan (4,3A)

1st Henderson Pendledell Ti Amo 13 month black bitch who i have judged recently. She posses a beautiful head with expression, good width through out, big ribs, short coupled, She has a lovely backend which she used on the move. Presentation was first class


Class 8 Graduate Red,Golden,Black, Black/Tan,Liver,Liver/Tan (5,3A)

1st Young Canyonn Classic Vision JW young black bitch who was lacking in coat but she had nothing to hide. Pretty feminine headed girl with melting expression, balanced in all aspects with good spring of rib and short coupled she has a level topline good tail carriage, moved out well


2nd McShane Maggiemac My My My Delilah black who has awell presented full coat, a size bigger than 1, sweet head, good neck and shoulder placement, not as mature in middle piece but this should come as she continues to mature. Moved ok.


Class 8 Open Red,Golden,Black, Black/Tan,Liver,Liver/Tan (5,3A)

1st Shinkfield & Lester Quettadene Queen of Stars JW and today she topped a fantastic entry, one i have competed against many times and was delighted to get my hands on her, she certainly didnt disappoint! Filled my eye from the tip of her nose to the end of her well set wagging tail. Presentation was excellent with not a hair out of place and moved with reach and drive BIS 


2nd Needham, Snowgate Gold Edition at Merryhaze 6 year red dog, masculine head, nice dark eye, steady mover covering the ground well, well presented coat, just carrying a little weight over the shoulders, 


Class 10 Minor Puppy Dog Any Colour (3,2A)

1st Gladman Chativore Ocean Commotion 8 month blue dog who was attending his first show, well developed head, nice neck and shoulder, good bone, nice straight front on lovely feet short in the loin, well angulated backend and enjoying himself on the move. Well presented coat.


Class 11Minor Puppy Bitch Any Colour (7,4A)

1st Galdman Chativore Sea La Vie litter sister to previous class winner, feminine head with correct stop and gentle expression, very well balanced for age,good length of neck and well placed shoulders, straight front with good width throughout, moved out well. BMPIS


2nd Peterson Dromacre Skyfall 9 month blue roan pleasing make and shape, gentle expression and dark eye. Shown in good coat and condition. Free happy mover prefered the angulation of 1


3rd Excellent Dream Vom Alsterruffer Adrona (imp)


Class.12 Puppy Dog Any Colour (2,0A)

1st Gilmour Chavez Cheeky Chappie 11 m blue male, smart youngster, cwith bright expressive eyes, square muzzle, clean neck with well made front, level topline with correct tail set, and low set hocks, sound mover.

Class 13 Puppy Bitch Any Colour (4,1A) 

1st Gilmour Chavez Glamour Girl really fell for this little girl everything where it should be for her age well balanced head, good neck and shoulder, well boned legs, neat feet, well presented coat, moved well with ever wagging tail. I wish you well with her. 


2nd Yilmas Anlasana Yeavering Belle

9 month blue who was giving alot away on maturity over 1, head is still developing but she has depth in chest and spring of rib, keeping a good strong topline on the move. Nice turn in stifle. Moved well powering off her backend


3rd Maggiemac Scent from above 


Classs 14 Junior Any Colour (6,1A)

1st Henderson Pendledell Mia Tesorino 13 month black bitch who has matured well since i last judged her, nice head proportions, stood well on good legs and feet. Correct length of neck leading into well placed shoulders, moved vey well. Excellent presentation

Class 15 Yearling (6,1A)

1st Bayliss Wilanorah We Will Rock JW 18m B/R dog Blue dog with good head and eye, correct length of neck into well laid shoulders, deep brisket, level topline, ribs well sprung, short coupled, hindquarters well develop with excellent muscle, moved with good reach & drive.


2nd Young Canyonn Black Caviar black male Well balanced head, moderate neck to good top-line, good angulation fore and rear, short and square, moved well with drive just prefered the fill in rib at the moment on 1. 


3rd Dandyjan Dark Defender


Class 16 Maiden Any Colour (5,3A)

1st Williams Wilmerella Memphis Belle just out of puppy but very mature for her age, loved her head and dark eye, she has length to neck, balanced outline, well made front and rear, well ribbed and plenty of depth. Lovely bone and feet. Well presented and moved soundly.


2nd Proudler Kimapa Kune Kinch smaller made blue roan with a nice balanced head, she has a nice neck and shoulder, good ribs and bone longer in the loin, she moved soudly with merry tail action. 


Class 17 Novice Any Colour (3,3A) 


Class 18 Post Grad Any Colour (9,3A)

Lovely Class 

1st Beever Dandyjan Tiny Dancer, so femine, compact short blue girl oozing with quality, big ribs with plenty of heart room, presented to perfection, she has a good bum that allowed her to moved very well around the ring


2nd Palmer Shansart Sky Dancer, one you need to get you hands on to appreciate how correct his constuction is. Masculine head, well angulated fore and aft, big deep ribs, short loin, plently of bone and Clean over his neck, compact with a firm topline just wish he had moved with more oomph

Class 19 limit Any Colour (8,3A)

1st Amos Jones Cassom Merrilegs

Light blue roan with beautiful presentation, she has much to like well shaped head and lovely dark eye, lovely legs and feet, well ribbed with short, strong loin, good width with muscular hindquarters, nothing exaggerated, she covers the ground with ease and moves with true movement. Close up


2nd Hebdene Haute Couture

Mature well presented black bitch Good outline. Clean head and kind expression, firm body, she has a level topline onto correct tail set. Well muscled which enabling her to move well round the ring.


3rd Bayliss Shirepark Sir Francis Drake by Wilanorah 


Class 20 Open Any Colour (5,3A)

1st Gladman Chativore Violet Sky

Bitch i have admired from the ringside, well boned legs and tight cat like feet, good front and rear angulation, excellent depth & width throughout, nicely ribbed, carries a level topline, moved with reach & drive just a touch heavier in the head than i prefer which cost her to go any further. 


2nd Proudler Kimapa Krazee Kritter VW hard to believe this Blue and tan is 10 years old, enjoying her day out with her ever wagging tail she is a credit to her owner,well angulated front with good width of chest, cat like feet, moved merrily.
