Thank you to the Officers and Committee for the invitation to judge numerous breeds and Best in Show at this well-run Open Show. Also, thanks to my efficient Steward, Steve Watts, your help and work keeping the ring moving was much appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed my day in the ring with lots of quality dogs to assess.
Pomeranian
Puppy (6 Entries, 2 Absent)
1. Niven-Lewis’s Rostellars Super Sonic – 10 month old light orange boy who was shown in fabulous coat and condition. He has a fabulous head with fabulous earset and well proportioned muzzle. Lovely dark almond eye with dense nose pigment. He has ample bone and body with a good short back and correct tailset. He has medium angulation and had a free and easy movement round the ring. Very attentive to handler and put on a good performance to gain Best Puppy and later in the day BPIS 3
2. French’s Norvanik Eastend Boi – 6 month old who has personality in abundance, he has s super type and shape with a delightful head and expression, his coat is coming along and when he stands and moves he has a lovely outline. Just lacking in maturity but when it comes I am sure he will trouble the best.

1. French’s Bincombefarm’s the Snidget – cheeky 8 month old sable who is a delightful size and shape. Prettiest of heads with nice earset and dark pigmentation giving a lovely expression. Nice short neck and well laid back shoulder. Compact body and good set of tail. Moved out well with a typical brisk attitude. Nice texture of coat in good condition. Just lost out on maturity for Best Puppy.
2. Grove’s Divinity Legend Has it For Kazariastar - 12 month old shaded sable with dark expressive almond shaped eye. Good skull and ear set, short neck into well laid shoulders, level topline and short in loin. Could have been happier today.

1. Lovell’s Pawsamy’s Rose JW – 2 year old bitch who was shown in profuse coat of nice condition. Feminine head and expression with dark eyes and small well set ears. Short and compact in body with good ribs and compact body. Kept a nice outline both standing and on the move.
2. French’s Bincombefarm’s the Kneazle – 8 month old girl who has a pleasing head framed by well set ears and dense pigment. Good bone with fine straight legs and compact body. Nice tailset and moved round the ring with a brisk and free action.

Post Graduate (2,1)
1. Lovell’s Pawsamy’s Sweet William JW – 2 year old cream boy who has a lovely head and expression with a well shaped head and eye and well defined muzzle. Shown in a lovely coat of excellent condition. Neat feet and good bone with a nice forequarters and short back. He moved out with verve covering the ground with ease. A quality boy.

1. Coombs & Watkins’ Faithfulgems Pure Heart for Jessiebeths – 2 year old cream with the cheekiest of expressions. Shown in excellent coat and condition. Excellent outline and size. Good dark eye and nose pigment with small well set ears. Nicely angled front and rear. Well bodied. Small, tight feet. Moved confidently round the ring.
2. Grove’s Kazariastar’s Cashmere – sweet head and expression, good bone for size and nice straight front legs in proportion to her size. Well ribbed and good deep chest. Moved out well at all times keeping a nice shape.
Open Bitch (2,0)
1. Fox’s Ch Okean Zvezd Offer of Hope at Foxlyn (IMP UCK) JW OSW – a little lady who I have judged before earlier in the year and she was my star of the day then and was again on this occasion. Always attentive to her handler and wanting to please her with every step and stance she takes. Presented to perfection with a lovely coat texture and not a hair out of place. The most enchanting head and expression with a perfectly tapered muzzle in proportion to her head. Dark nose and eye pigment with small well placed ears. Short neck and excellent shoulders. Well balanced in body with a perfectly set tail. She is so well balanced with a free and easy movement at all times. She never seems to stand incorrectly and again I couldn’t take my eyes off her both in the breed and the group. I couldn’t deny her BoB and ultimately BIS. Thank you for the opportunity to judge her again.
2. Coombs & Watkins’ Kazariastar’s Cascade for Jessiebeths – ultra feminine 2 year old girl who had a lovely foxy expression with erect ears set on high. Good dentition with complete scissor bite. Fine boned and compact underneath a profuse coat. Tail set on high and carried over the back. Moved well and scores for overall size and outline. Res BoB.

1. Gudgin’s Jassendude Ariadne 7 month old bitch who fitted the standard well, she was small and graceful with a nice overall shape that she kept standing and on the move. She had a lovely head with nice proportions and nice taper to her muzzle. Well arched neck that was carried well showing a graceful outline. Good shoulder placement and hind angulation with a graceful and flowing movement. Best Puppy and Res BoB

1. Skivington ‘s Ajatiaza’s Crystal Sparks – who had a nice head with lovely dark pigment and attractive expression. Well proportioned with a good size and medium bone and level topline and tailset and moderate tuck up. Fringes in the correct places and feet that were narrow and long. Moved well both coming and going with good hind angulation and muscular loins. BoB

1. Leonard’s Witchstone Limited Edition – 7 month old girl who has the prettiest heads and expressions with a gently wedged shaped head and nicely shaped ears. Dark almond eyes that are well placed. Well arched neck and nice shoulder. Well set tail and nicely rounded loin. Moved out well and shown in sparkling condition. Best Puppy
2. Warren’s Rhymswell Fields of Gold – 6 month old boy who was slightly more advanced in his maturity than the winner. Masculine head and expression with well set ears that are high on his skull. Lovely dark eyes of good size. Well off for bone and nicely rounded croup. Movement was true once he settled.

1. Crowley’s Adargwn Geneva Lux JCH – 14 month old bitch who there is a lot to like about. Gentle and feminine head and expression with erect and well placed ears. Nice wedge shape to head with adequate filling under the eye. Nicely arched neck and good shoulder placement and elbows close to body. Well rounded loin and good bend of stifle. With confidence she should trouble the best.
Post Graduate (3,2)
1. Thorne’s Ettology Mr Kipling Apple Pie – 19 month old boy who presents a good overall size. Pleasing head with lovely dark nose and eye pigment and well set ears. Well arched neck and ample bone and compact well arched feed. Movement could have been a bit more free round the ring.

1. Whitehouse’s Amalric Coco Chanel With Dalmonde JW – was splitting hairs with the first two in the class and a lot of the same comments apply. Prettiest of heads and expressions with an excellent well set ears and dark nose and eye pigment. She presents a lovely shape both standing and on the move with excellent angulation at the correct points with compact and well balanced body and a nicely rounded loin. But for me the clincher was the final go round as today she was more positive on the move. Shown in excellent coat and gleaming condition and was well handled to gain BoB
2. Francis, Blatchford & Leonard’s Witchstone Trouble Brewing at Peopleton JW – was close up to the winner. A 2 year old pitch who is a lovely breed type. Excellent wedge shape to her head and lovely well placed ears. Nicely bodied with a good spring of rib and nice front with good shoulder placement and has ample bone. Excellent tan markings and shown in sparkling coat and condition with the richest of tan markings. Well rounded loin and nice let down in her hocks and well compacted feet. Moved round the ring well keeping a pleasing outline. Res BoB

1. Niven-Lewis Rostellars Celtic Diva – 8 month old who was super feminine. Well off for size and shape. Nicely rounded skull with a moderate stop and a gentle expression with nice dark eyes. Moderate neck and well proportioned body with medium bone. Well coated for her age and moved with confidence round the ring keeping a good parallel action and a level topline. Best Puppy

1. Day’s Immeleon Peppermint Latte in Cubadias – 15 month old bitch who is a loverly overall size and shape, Pleasing head and expression with lovely dark pigment and good eys shape and placement. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders and level topline. Well balanced body of nice proportions. Free and easy movement round the ring. Res BoB

1. Niven-Lewis Maryanns Golden Roses Cathy Rostellar (Imp Hun) – 15 month old bitch who is of super quality. Nice well balanced head of good proportion and good length to her muzzle. Beautiful eyes with nice pigment and good almond shape giving her a lovely gently and feminine expression. Excellent neck with a graceful appearance and wonderful front assembly. Well laid shoulder and nicely balance of body with a good spring of rib. Moves out well at all times keeping a nice outline with a well placed tail and good topline. Nice parallel movement too showing god drive. A lovely bitch. BoB

1. Smeath’s Bytheiad Fair Guinevere At Willingwisp - prettiest of heads on this 13 month old bitch with a fine muzzle and nice brightness to her eyes. She has a nice outline fine muzzle, large eyes, ears correctly set, moved soundly and with confidence with high stepping action in profile and good hind angulation. Res BoB

1. Thompson’s Blue Lagoon of Bytheiad - Masculine but refined 6 year old blue boy who is has a lovely outline showing graceful curves and of a pleasing size. Well placed ears with a nice eye and nose pigment. Good slope to his shoulders with an elegant and well arched neck. Nice depth to his chest and typical topline with good rise over his loin, Lovely hind angulation and he moved well with a lovely grace and ease. BoB

1. Thatcher’s Kobanyal Pelyhes Odin with Devonia (IMP HUN) – 3 year old boy who was shown in impeccable coat and condition. Very eye catching both standing and on the move. Ideal for size and shape with a very masculine head and broad skull with lovely dark limpid yes. Nicely arched neck with good shoulder placement and well developed forechest. He has an excellent topline and tailset with fabulous rear angulation and well let down hocks. He powers round the ring using his well muscled hind quarters. I thought he was just lovely example of the breed. Couldn’t deny him BoB and he pulled out all the stops in the BIS ring to gain Group 4.
2. Whateley’s Lyckalotte Enzo Ferrari at Arkadian – 3 year old boy who is built on similar lines to the winner. Lovely coat and well presented. He has a head of nice proportions with a lovely dark round eye and excellent pigmentation. Well constructed both front and rear with a good spring of rib. Moved true both coming and going and was unlucky to meet the winner in good form Res BoB

AV Minor Puppy (15,9)
1. Rooney’s Copymear Caught in the Act NAF – Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) what a cracking little baby this is – 6 months old and at his first show. I just fell for his cheeky head and expression with attractive markings. Nice large round dark eyes with a moderate length of muzzle and well placed ears and good dome to his head. Excellent neck and shoulders and a level topline with a well proportioned body. He moved with verve and enthusiasm. Although he is still a baby he was of obvious quality and I will certainly watch his career with interest. He is certainly a big personality in a small package and pulled out all the stops in the Puppy Group to gain Res Best Puppy In Show.
2. Barabzeck’s Capevidles Incandesence – Japanese Chin - 8 month old black and white bitch who was shown in good coat and of lovely condition. She has the sweetest of heads with and expressions with lovely dark expressive eyes that are well in proportion. Nice body with good proportions. Nice fine bone and good angulation. Moved out well at all times and was another who was put through as Best Puppy by the breed judge and I awarded Puppy Group 4.
3. Lovell’s Paysamy’s Hank Summer Dream - Pomeranian
AV Puppy (4,1)
1. Lewis’ Carleeto Black Velvet – CKCS – 8 month old Black and Tan who was very raw but had it all there. Her head still needs to develop but she has lovely dark nose and eye pigment a lovely flat skull and perfect ear set. She is overall well balanced with excellent reach of neck and good shoulder placement, level topline and tailset and well sprung ribs. She has plenty of reach and drive with excellent muscle tone. Look forward to seeing her when she has matured.
2. Currie’s Faehat Halo – Affenpinscher – 11 month old who was handled perfectly. Excellent bone for size and good front and rear angulation. Pleasing head and expression with neat well set ears. Level topline and well carried tail when moving. Moved with confidence at all times.
3. Verheyen Woody Under Gracewincavs - CKCS
AV Veteran (11,3) – what a cracker of a class this was full of quality throughout with some excellent breed examples. Thank you for the opportunity to judge such a lovely class.
1. Parker’s Ch Vardenais Lumos – Miniature Pinscher – what a cracker of a red boy this is. lovely masculine head and expression with well-placed ears and dark nose and eye pigment, showing signs of grey around his muzzle but this only enhances his good looks. Loved his overall size and shape and had a good depth of chest and excellent shoulder placement. Nicely developed body with a moderate tuck up and good sweep of stifle and lovely bone for his size. Moved out well with a nice gait and showing lift in the front action. Shown in lovely coat and condition. He pulled out all the stops against the delightful Chin to win the class and Best Veteran in Show
2. Rooney & Green’s Ch Swifthocks Paws for Thought JW – Japanese Chin 8 year old black and white who was loving her day in the ring. She has the most exquisite head and expression that screamed femininity. Exceptionally dark eye and nose pigment with lovely high set ears. Ample neck and excelled in her front and rear angulation that allowed her to gracefully move round the ring. Well presented and she looked a picture both standing and on the move. Another quality veteran that was unlucky to meet the winner.

1. Currie’s Faehat Trilby – Affenpinscher – 3 year old who is a nice size and shape. Lovely dark eyes and that cheeky head and expression. Good front assembly and level topline held both standing and on the move. Lovely body proportions and good hind angulation. Moved with purpose round the ring.
2. Poole’s Kocho Dolly Daydream – Pekingese 14 month old who has a beautiful head with excellent pigment and nice open nostrils. Well off for bone and showing in fabulous coat of excellent condition with a good spring of rib and a broad chest. Moved at all times with confidence.

Lovely dark eyes and good fill under the eye. Good bone and nice depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Moved out well keeping a good topline. A lovely showgirl.

1. Currie’s Affenpinscher’s - well balanced with nice heads and great movement. Looked a picture together and complimented each other well.
2. Pirrie & Mcevoy’s Affenpinscher’s – another two typy dogs who were slighty smaller in stature but were very similar in type. Cheekiest of heads and expressions and moved at one with each other.

1. Coull’s Vardenais Hot As Hell – Miniature Pinscher - what a cracker of a puppy this is. 9 month old rich red boy who is certainly one with a bright future. I see has an illustrious father who I greatly admire and he has inherited many of his fabulous qualities. Pleasing head with lovely dark nose and eye pigment with nice size and well placed ears. He scores for this well balanced outline with excellent reach of neck and well placed shoulders. Nice to go over on the table where you can really appreciate his qualities with a level topline and correctly carried tail. He demands attention as he drives round the ring with the lovely hackney action. He is certainly one to watch and I just fell for him and couldn’t deny him BIS3 with the adults and ultimately Best Puppy in Show.

Res Best in Show – Rooney & Green’s Jaschin Working Man I Am – Japanese Chin – quality boy who was shown in excellent coat and condition. Loved his head and expression with that lovely ‘chin’ look and well cushioned muzzle. Excellent reach of neck and level topline, short, cobby and well balanced. He moved round the ring with ease and commanded attention at all times.
