German Shepherd Dog

Puppy (1 ent 0 abs)

1st – Clark’s – Kenleap Banjo – At just 8 and a half months old this male puppy is quite raw but is very promising, he has a pleasing head with a nice eye, he stands on strong straight limbs with good feet, he holds a good topline both static and on the move, he moved out well – Best Puppy in Breed.

Special Yearling (1 ent 0 abs)

1st – Chapman’s – Konatian Baggy Trousers – This young male scores well in head with a nice eye and a super ear set, he has balanced angles throughout and his hocks were strong, he holds a good strong topline but for me he is a tad longer than ideal in back, he moved out well and was presented in excellent order throughout.

Limit (2 ent 0 abs)

1st – Nicholson & Kaczmarcyk’s – Norwulf It Must Be Love – This 2 year old bitch is a nice example of the breed, she scored over 2 with a better topline, her head is nice and retains feminine features, her ears are set and used well, she stands on strong limbs with good angulation, she moved out well but not as positive as the best of breed winner leaving her to settle for reserve best of breed today.

2nd – Wilenczyc’s – Nellinka New Decade At Kashiba – This 4 year old male scored well in head and was presented in a super jacket, I would have preferred his hocks to have more strength and I found him a bit close in the rear when moving away.

Open (2 ent 0 abs)

1st - Reilly’s – Endearing Warrior At Darkaror JW- A super male of 2 years in age who I really liked, he scores well in head, has a lovely eye and excellent ear set, his neck is long and strong and slopes well into good shoulders, he has a strong topline both static and moving, he stands on strong straight limbs and super feet, he is well angulated and has strength in his hocks, he presented a super profile moving and moved away with a strong straight gait, presented in excellent order and a very worthy Best Of Breed.

2nd – Nicholson’s – Chapleforge Angus With Norwulf – A 3 year old male who is also a very nice boy, he is slightly shorter in body proportions than 1 and does not have quite as good feet and angles, he moved out well presenting a nice shape on side profile but did not quite match 1 for strength of hocks and was a tad close at the rear moving away.

Bullmastiff

Puppy (1 ent 0 abs)

1st – Bown & Readers – Brinkybull Wilfy’s Legacy at Sundabish (AI) (Imp AUS) TAF – What a super puppy this is, at just 6 months of age he is at just the right stages of growth, his head is developing nicely and promises to be a very nice headpiece when he is finished, he has a super eye for both shape and colour, his front assembly is from the top drawer and he already has a strong neck, he stands on strong straight limbs with reasonable feet, he is balanced in angles and holds a good topline, as with puppies of this age he can appear a tad long in loin but when you get hands on he isn’t and when he fills his frame he will present just the right outline in profile, he moved well for one so young and was handled to perfection, I was pleased to award him best puppy in breed and also 3rd in a very strong puppy group.

Limit (1 ent 0 abs) – Witheld.

Open (1 ent 0 abs)

1st – Thomas & Bulls – Phoria’s Seventh Heaven JW – This 2 and a half year old male is a super example of the breed, he has the most beautiful head which has a super broad skull and is well matched with his muzzle which is broad and strong, he has just the right amount of wrinkle and his dentition is good, he has a super width of chest and a strong topline and lovely broad rump, he moved out well with a powerful rear action, presented in excellent order and muscle tone, a worthy best of breed and 4th in a strong working group.

German Pinscher

Puppy (1 ent 0 abs)

1st – Hayter’s – Maxally’s Andromeda – A 9 month old puppy who has her puppy ears on today, she scores well for head planes and has the desired slight but distinct stop, her neck is already strong and retains elegance, she scores well for topline and angluation and stands on straight limbs, she has the most beautiful tail for set and carriage, moved well. BOB & BPIB.

AVNSC Working

Limit (2 ent 1 abs)

1st – Foy’s – Siomenti Berni Alaska At Charmsway (Imp SRB) – Bernese Mountain Dog – This 3 and a half year old bitch is carrying a good bit too much weight which sadly does distract from the overall picture and is possibly the reason she moved pacing most of the time, once moved at a faster pace she did gait properly, She has a very nice head piece and was presented in a clean and well presented jacket , her angles are correct with moderation to her rear, she lacks the white marking on one foot but this is just preferred and not essential, she is certainly worth the effort of slimming her down to a more suitable weight.

AV Working

Puppy ( 4 ent 1 Abs)

1st – Leech’s – Mileoak Hubble Bubble – Newfoundland – 8 and a half month old male puppy of exceptional quality, he has the most pleasing head with the calmest of expressions, his neck flows into well placed shoulders, his ribbing is just right for his age and his back is strong and he holds his topline on the move, he stands on well boned limbs which are strong and straight from all angles, on the move he produces an almost floating balanced gait which for one so young just blew me away today, he was presented in a squeaky clean jacket, his coat on his back is transitioning from puppy to adult but that did not distract from how beautiful this puppy is, he topped a super line up of puppies in the puppy group and went on to best puppy in show, huge well done.

2nd – Patrick & Ashman’s – Okinastar Destiny Calling At Coldasice – Alaskan Malamute – At just 7 months old this puppy is quite raw and is not in her full jacket but that does allow you to see how nicely put together she is, she scores well in head and has a super ear for size, shape and set, she does stand a tad ten to two at the front which will straighten to ideal when her ribbing and chest develop with age, she is well balanced in angles both fore and aft and moved out well.

3rd – Facer’s – Chayo Unlock The Power- Alaskan Malamute

Open (3 ent 2 abs)

1st – Samuel’s – Lyfearon Have I Gone Mad – Siberian Husky – Male who is rising 4 years old, he is a lovely example of the breed, he scores well in head and has a super almond shaped eye, his ears are well placed high on his skull and he uses them well, he has balanced angles fore and aft, for me he maybe is a tad longer in body than ideal, presented in a full jacket, moved out well.

AV Working Veteran (3 ent 2 abs)

1st – Simm’s – NL CH Snowmists Isacc At Articskies JW ShCM VW (Imp CAN) – Siberian Husky – 8 year old male who was presented in excellent order throughout, he does not show any hint of aging and moved round like a youngster, he has a super head piece which is totally balanced in all areas, he has a front assembly from the top drawer which shows on the move, he holds a super topline both static and on the move, all finished off with a super black jacket, no surprise to see his many titles.

AV Special Beginners Working (2 ent 1 abs)

1st - Facer’s – Chayo Unlock The Power - Alaskan Malamute – A super puppy who was 3rd in a strong AV puppy class, there is nothing to dislike about this puppy, he is at the right stage of growth and has plenty of time on his side, he does stand a tad 10 to 2 but I forgive this in puppies, he has a lovely head, his ear set is pleasing and he uses them well, he has well placed shoulders and a good topline for a youngster, I did feel he was carrying too much weight, even for a puppy and this did give him a bit of roll on the move but this is something easily addressed and well worth doing.

Working Group

1st - Simm’s – Articskies The Chosen One JW - Siberian Husky – 2 year old male of super quality, he stole the show for me on his outstanding movement and performance, maybe not in his absolute best jacket today but who worries about that in midsummer, he has the most appealing chiselled head piece, his eyes are of correct set and shape, as are his ears, he neck is the right length and build and carried so well, he has the best of toplines and his super balanced angles show on the move, his gait is smooth and elegant and he is super light on his feet, I was absolutely delighted that the breed judge sent him through to the group and he was a worthy winner of a good quality group. Well done.

2nd – Lock’s – Romanico Bacctu Clarricks JW – Boxer – This 21 month old bitch pushed very hard for the top spot today, she was unlucky to meet the winner today, she also put in a super performance, she is a lovely example of her breed, her head is pleasing with good skull and muzzle ratio’s, she has a lovely front assembly with a super chest for depth, she has the desired underline which is complimented by a strong topline, her tail is set on and carried well, she moves just like a boxer should and she was presented in a gleaming jacket, on another day the top spot will certainly be hers.

3rd – Wilkinson’s – Rottkinson Dark Knight – Rottweiler – See puppy group

4th Thomas & Bulls – Phoria’s Seventh Heavan – Bullmastiff – See breed

Puppy Working Group

1st – Leech’s – Mileoak Hubble Bubble – Newfoundland- See AV Working Puppy

Wilkinson’s – Rottkinson Dark Knight – Rottweiler- This almost 10 month old puppy was unlucky to meet 1 today, he is a super puppy who is well off for size and substance, he has a pleasing head which is well balanced for skull and muzzle, he has good width to his skull and his ears sit just right to compliment the whole picture, his dentition is correct and he has a dark eye of good shape and a nice calm expression, his head is not overdone in any way, his neck is strong and has a slight arch and flows into well placed shoulders and a strong topline which he holds on the move, he stands on well boned limbs, his pasterns do need to tighten a bit but that said a Rottweiler should have a slight slope to the pasterns so I would say they are as you would expect for a 10 month old puppy, he was presented in a gleaming black jacket with lovely rich tan markings, on the move he produces a lovely outline and displays good reach in front and a driving rear, he is true coming and going and was handled well, he also gained 3rd place in a strong adult group, well done.

3rd - Bown & Readers – Brinkybull Wilfy’s Legacy at Sundabish (AI) (Imp AUS) TAF – See Breed

4th – Simm’s – Articskies Black Diva – Siberian Husky – Every puppy in this line up was a super example of its breed and this 11 month old bitch puppy was no exception, she didn’t put a foot wrong and will most certainly take her place on the other end of the line I am sure, she scores well in head, she holds a super shape static and moving and she has a light near perfect footfall, another super Sibe from this well known kennel.
