Judge Kirk Dennison

Thank you to the Plymouth & District Canine Society for inviting me to judge The English Toy Terriers, ( Black & Tan) at their Premier Open Show, it was well run and supported by good turn out of exhibitors.

The dogs that came under me seemed in good health, though would like to have seen their nails shorter. I would have liked to see more almond eyes but overall all were good examples of the breed.

Toy Group

English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan)

Class 59 – No Entries

Class 60 – Post Graduate 3

Entries – 1 Absent

1st – 126 MORETONIA ROYAL WREN

A beautiful, elegant compact example of an English Toy Terrier, lovely candle flame ears proudly displayed on the back of her wedge shaped head, with dark striking eyes. At two years old she has already captured many admirers within the breed and it is easy to see why. When she was on the move she was driving out well from her hindquarters to give a well-balanced free flowing stride. RBOB.

2nd 127 – WYKEWOKS TOMMY TWINKLE

A three-year-old dog he made his handler work hard to get him into free stacked position. Once his nerves settled and was composed he was very alert, with dark eyes, a beautiful flat skull and elegant wedge-shaped head. Lovely pencil lines on all feet and warm chestnut tan laid out on his thick densely glossy coat. Dog he is correct the correct size with a compact body and well-rounded croup. I would have liked more drive to give a better picture when on the move.

128 – MORETONIA RYOAL NAVY – Absent

Class 61 Open 4 Entries

1st 124 - MORETONIA GOLDEN GIRL AT NEERONDAN JW

A lovely elegant six-year-old correctly sized compact Bitch she made a balanced overall picture.

She stood nicely for her exhibitor proudly displaying her elegance with clean legs and a well laid back shoulder. She had well defined thumb prints and beautiful pencil lines on dainty feet. On the move she was a delight to watch displaying correct reach and drive to give a clearly presented well balanced appearance with good angulation. Thoroughly well-deserved BOB.

2nd 129 – SKIN DEEP’S MINT CONDITION (IMP NOR)

A very alert example of an English Toy Terrier making his handler work hard to keep him settled on the move at two years old he was very lively on the day. Stood well on the table proudly displaying his, good sized body with a lovely black and tan coat, nice dark eyes, correct wedge-shaped head to well filled under eye. I would like to have seen him more settled on the move.
