Labrador Retriever

Puppy

1/1 EVANS TRENDLEWOOD LONG TIME COMIN This 7mth yellow boy had a good coat and lovely pigment with good shape eye of correct colour. Moved well once settled showing good reach from front angulation. Shoulders placed well, good turn of stifle. Not overdone for his age. BP

Special Yearling

2/2 1st KING LINTHWAITE MATILDA 15mth yellow bitch with an adorable expression very pleasing feminine head. Good general construction compact with fair spring of rib and short coupled, she kept a level topline on the move.

2nd GOODWINS MCFARWINS FLASHING LIGHTS Another well-constructed yellow bitch with feminine expression. Carrying slightly more weight than first and a tad longer cast. Good length of leg and moved well

Limit

5/4 1st CARY’S LANGANHOE LIBERTY BELL IN AQUADELL My notes say 'super in profile' and this 2yr old black bitch was! She took time to settle and gave her handler a bit of a challenge to start. Once hands on, she had a lovely coarse dense coat. Super expression with lovely eye shape, good strong neck leading to well placed shoulders and firm topline. Great angulation front and rear, compact with a good spring of rib all to be seen with fantastic movement as she glided round the ring. Well deserved BOB

2nd MILLS JAYBEC WINTER WISPA JW This paler yellow bitch of good quality also, pushed hard for this class! Totally at one with her handler she moved with drive from her strong rear. Coat not as coarse as first, however she was compact and with legs true under her not overdone at all. Very neat and had tidy well arched feet she was lovely.

Open

2/1 MOODYS TRENDLEWOOD EBONY AND IVORY This black dog had a masculine head with a fun expression! Good textured coat would like a bit more reach of neck and less weight carried, his angulation was good, feet tidy moved ok.

Italian Spinone

My thanks to exhibitors for their entry today. A breed I have adored for many years.

Special Yearling 1/1 HOPES TESTAVERDE SELWYN FLOGIT 18mth old dog struggled to settle giving owner a time of it but he moved ok once on the go. Well-shaped head, prominent occiput soft expression with correct shape eyes, wide open nostrils. Topline ok maybe lacking slight rise and fall. Construction ok stood square.

Limit 2/2 1st MORTIMERS SCODINZOLARE PHOTOULLA Chocolate bitch with a melting soft expression with prominent occiput and good divergent planes wide open nostrils. Ochre eye colour to complement coat colour of coarse texture. Topline good with enough rise and fall to croup. Moved well around the ring not too much feathering.

2nd HOPES STAGERUN PEREGRINE Chocolate dog. Eyes not as tight as first still good expression and shape head. Ears of good length shoulder placement correct, well off for bone stood square and moved well,

Open 3/3 1st KRUGLOWS AMBERELLIE ROSANNA This orange bitch had a super expression, almost round eye of good colour and no haw set amongst good plains and correct prominent occiput. Her strong neck led to a super topline which showed beautifully in profile. A well-constructed bitch showing her ample front and squareness of shape leg length to height. Lovely texture coat and overall, very pleasing on the eye. Happy to award BOB

2nd MORTIMERS SCODINZOLARE PHILOMEN Another orange bitch with good facial expression, open wide nostrils, slightly shorter muzzle than first. Good strong neck into well placed shoulder another with superb movement for the breed. No excess dressing and enough bone to show good profile, just preferred overall image of first.
