Ground was really bad and we had to avoid the middle of the ring due to deep holes. The rest of the ground was very uneven and bumpy, causing many people to struggle to move and affecting the dogs movement as well.

1st Elmanash Glenfarclas (B) Owned by Mr & Mrs FJ Holland – 2 year old girl who was just stunning, Covered the ground well despite the uneveness. Beautiful lean head, flat between ears, slight stop, oval dark eye, sweet fine rose bud ears. Long but not overlong clean neck into well laid shoulders with flat muscle. Feet oval and toes well arched. Correct rear angulation, long enough but not too long. Nothing overdone about her but graceful from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail. Pleased to award her BOB, Ian Sexton gave her Group 1 and Jackie Tune gave her Best In Show.

2nd Kaymark Kaptain (D) Owned by M Dobson – 6 year old boy who is a little on the large side, but has a good lean head, flat skull, clean long neck and good lay of shoulder. Not coping too well with the ground which cause him not to be striding out as well as I am sure he could.

1st Elmanash Gaelic Girl (B) Owned by Mr & Mrs FJ Holland – lovely little girl with lean head, flat skull and good neck onto well laid shoulders, good oval feet with well arched toes. Correct rise and tuck up. Longer in rear angulation than BOB and the overall picture was not as good, she did not cover the ground as well. Pleased to award her RBOB.

2nd Blackstem Be True To Me (D) Owned by M Cottrall – Large brindle boy with good lean head, rose bud ears. Good reach of neck. Good feet, enough tuck although rise over loin could be better. Moved well over the ground.

1st Annavah Star Above Madika AW (B) Owned by Mrs S Arden – 4 year old bitch with slightly domed skull, hazel eye, long low set ear and black nose. Good bone, level back, good rear angulation, tight feet, moved OK considering ground. BOB.

1st CH Zvezdny Alliance Genie in a Bottle (Imp UKR) (B) Owned by Ms CJ & Mr TF Casentieri – 3 year old bitch with lovely head, flat skull with tapering shape, eye dark, almond shaped, small pointed ears, correct bite. Fine bone legs strait, level back held on the move although not sure she was liking the ground much, as along with others she was skipping over some of it. BOB and Group 2 under Judge Ian Sexton.

Spaniel (Cocker)

A very good entry of 19 cockers with only 3 missing. A few with droopy eyes and some lack of bone in a few exhibits. A few bad mouths in the mix as well. This is a working breed and while the show ring sees them over coated and often overweight the structure under the coat should not be suffering for breeding for the ring. Good temperaments on all exhibits today and very pleased with my top winners.

1st Chataway New Beginning at Sandaby's (B) Owned by Mrs B Pendlebury – 11 month old Super black bitch with a lot to like – correct bite, good head, ear leathers long enough to meet nose. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good strait bone, cat like feet. Moved with drive and purpose which won her the class but her weight lost her best puppy to the 2nd in Junior.

2nd Kimapa Kwackers Kor (D) Owned by Mr T & Mrs G Cox – 8 month old nice boy who still has a lot of puppy coat to come out but underneath is all there. Good front angulation, good tight cat like feet. Moved OK, to just beat his sister Kimapa Kwackers Kwitch into 3rd in this class she is just not as together as him yet.

1st Leech Baby Hot Shoe Shuffle To Snadlauga (B) Owned by Miss J Mason – Just over a year old but everything in the right place – lovely head and dark eye good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, level topline held on the move. Short loin and Merry Cocker action. Is at that age now where she needs to finish bodying up and grow a full coat to compete with the adults.

2nd Kimapa Kwackers Kalon (D) Owned by Miss M Proudler – 8 Months Old Litter Brother to 2nd and 3rd in Puppy but more with it and a better overall picture – still lots of puppy coat to come out but underneath he is quite something. Well angulated, with good rib and short loin. Correct bite, dark eye, low ear set. Good reach of neck a bit disguised by coat currently, into good lay of shoulder, short loin level back held on the move – moved better with a handler and coped well with the ground. BPIB and pleased to see him go Gundog Puppy Group 1 under Judge Suzanne Blackhouse.

1st Adrona Continental (D) Owned by Miss A Vere – 3 year old dog who just took the ring despite the bad ground he moved out with purpose and drive. Good head with dark eye, low lobular ear whose leather reached his nose (not the case with all in the ring today), good bite square muzzle, good reach of neck into well laid shoulders, well sprung ribs, short loin, level topline, good tailset, correct rear angulation. Overall a lovely breed type. A well deserved BOB & Group 4 under judge Suzanne Blackhouse

2nd Kimapa Kune Kinch (B) Owned by Mr T & Mrs G Cox – Lovely girl with a lot to like, good head, dark eye, low set ear. Well angulated compact bitch with good spring of rib, level top line,cat like feet, enough bone, good tail set. Would like a tighter eye on her. 

3rd Kerriglow Dream Again for Quattrozampe

1st Carmelfair Corocenzo at Oxfordogs (D) Owned by Mrs S Sanders – 4 year old boy with a lot to like. Good head, dark eye, low set lobular ear, enough reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and short loin, well angulated fore and aft with good bone, correct tail set ,moved well on the rough ground and held his topline on the move. RBOB

2nd Kimapa Kwarta Korki (B) Owned by Miss M proudler – 5 year old girl who's movement was hampered by her handler. Pretty head, dark eye, low set ear, enough reach of neck into well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and short loin, correct tail set. Would like a little more of her all over and a little more bone.

3rd Wintonia Hidden Gem for Quattrozampe (B)
