What should have been a lovely little show alongside Great Harwood on bank holiday Monday turned into a swimming lesson – Rings were paddling and slippy, and seeing beyond half way down the ring was almost impossible at times – there was no wet weather so we made the best of what we had. This was in no way the shows fault as they were a partnership show and only had what they were given & the British weather at its finest. There were quite a few dogs missing over the day probably due to the weather but those who turned up were quality dogs. Feet were impossible to assess but good movement was everything in challenging conditions.

1st Amberush It's Raining Men (B) Owned by Mrs R Leeson - 3 year old bitch who despite the weather not helping with the coats on these lovely dogs this girl moved round the ring with drive and presence. Good angulation fore and aft, correct flat skull, eyes relatively small and small ears which I did see erect but were flat against the rain, which was perfectly fine as it was quite heavy while they were in the ring. Pleased to award her BOB – They did not stay for BIS as they had to have thier car pulled off the field by the tractor.

1st Amberush It Had To Be you (B) Owned by Mrs R Leeson – 6 year old Mother of the winner of Post Graduate and a very similar type. Correct head and ears and slightly arched neck into well laid shoulders, good rear angulation and top line held on the move. Outshone by her daughter only really on the last line up as they are very correct and similar. RBOB

2nd Amberush You Are My Sunshine (B) Owned by Mrs R leeson – Daughter of winner and litter sister of 1st in Post Grad, very similar in type but not as strong an overall picture. Don't think she was coping with the weather as well as the others. The ring had puddles which she was trying to jump and not really doing much to walk properly.

Post Graduate – Cyane River at Cranmoss (B) Owned by Mrs L Wilkinson – Well balanced, long, lean head with slight stop and flat skull. Black nose. Short coupled good angulation. Good coat and tail set, moved well considering the conditions, she coped much better than the smaller terriers with the conditions underfoot. BOB

1st Ragus Monkey Business at Pepperwood (B) Owned By Mr A & Mrs J Furby – 18 month old sweet little girl with good broad slightly rounded skull, medium sized pointed ears set well apart. Well sprung rib short coupled and held her topline well on the move. BOB
