My thanks to the society for the invitation to judge at your lovely show. Thanks also to my stewards who kept the ring running efficiently and with smiles on their faces.

Collie (Rough)

PG (4,1) 1 Patman & Grainger’s Samhaven Sound Effects Sable and white girl with a clean head, flat skull with parallel lines. Good eye shape and well set ears. Good length of back with deep chest, she moved out well using a long stride. RBOB 2 Morey’s Brookynut Hot and Spicy 9 month old sable and white, of a pleasing shape and type. Correct eye and wedge shaped head. Nice length of neck leading to well angulated shoulders. A little unconfident on the move today. BP 3 Ware’s Wassail The Last Dance

O (5,0) 1 Ware’s Millubie Essence of magic at Wassail (Imp Srb) BOB Impressive young tricolour bitch. Flat skull with clean cheekbones. Lovely expression coming from correctly shaped head and eyes. Good length of neck leading to well laid back shoulders. Presented in lovely condition she moved out well. 2 Ware’s Wassail Call the Midwife Sable and white girl of a smaller type but everything in proportion. Pleasing expression with good head pattern and lovely expression. Nicely set ears. Good length of body with well let down hocks and good turn of stifle. Moved out well. 3 Hawkins’ Serenlas Black Magic

Collie (Smooth)

O (1,0) 1 Beeney’s Coneypark Golden Brown Although standing alone, still a worthy winner. This sable and white girl has a lovely head with kind expression coming from correct head pattern and good eye set. Well set ears carried correctly. Nice length of neck leading to well laid back shoulders. Smooth long reaching movement. BOB

Finnish Lapphund

L (3,1) 1 Critchlows’ Pavoskas Iloilme 16 month old sable and white girl. Strong head, with good bredth and well defined stop. Correct dentition. Good length of neck leading to nicely laid back shoulder. Straight back with nice spring of rib. Good tail set being carried well. Moved out well. RBOB 2 Critchlow & Cooper’s Pavoskas Ilomieli My notes say that this girl has similar attributes to 1 and I see that they are litter mates. However, it was difficult to assess movement today on this girl due to behaviour.

O (2,1) 1 Coopers & Critchlow’s Ch Pavoskas Aly Arttu JW ShCM ShCEx VW Sable boy, strongly made 9 year old still in his prime. Masculine head, being broad with clearly defined stop. Dark eyes giving a soft expression. Good length of and layback of shoulder. Strong broad back with good spring of rib. Short loin leading to powerful rear. Moved out well. Whole package completed with a super coat and in hard condition. BOB

Swedish Vallhund

L (1,0) 1 Ellis’ Kimaroffs Sidney Super head pattern with flat skull and well defined stop. Dark eye giving typical expression. Balanced body coming from well laid back shoulders and with good length of back, level topline and well muscled. Moved out with purpose. BOB

O (2,0) 1 Poulton’s Meddobe Spice Girl 8-year-old girl of a typical shape and size. Clean cut wedge shaped head with dark eyes well set. Nicely set ears. Nicely muscled in body with level back and good depth of chest. Nice tuck up leading well well angulated rear. Moved out with a free gait. RBOB 2 Hackney’s Starvon All About Me 9 year old male, another with correct head proportions giving typical expression enhanced by dark correctly set eyes. Well laid back shoulders. Well presented, just didn’t have the topline or movement of 1 today.

Australian Shepherd

PG (7, 5) 1 Scanlan’s Franmar Blue Elegance RBOB Blue merle girl of nearly 6 years. Well balanced and pleasing shape and type. Clean head of good proportions. Well defined stop. Nicely set ears. Good length of neck leading to well laid back shoulder. Level topline and good depth of chest. Moved out well. 2 Richards’ Accra Incendio Fire Larger, upstanding male. With balanced head and good strength to skull. Good forechest with well laid back shoulders. Nicely angulated rear. Just couldn’t match the movement of 1 today.

O (5,2) 1 Richards’ Birkcross Secret Agent with Accra Mature blue merle bitch with lovely proportions. Clean skull with well defined stop and super pigment. Good length of back with well laid back shoulder and matching rear. Won BOB today on her lovely free movement which is without exaggeration. BOB 2 Scanlan’s Franmar Blue Mystique Blue merle with pretty head and expression. Well placed ears. Good length of neck leading to well laid back shoulders. Nice length to body with firm topline and deep chest, Just not moving out today. 3 Lees’ Villanyda Wizards Apprentice for Amenbury (Imp Esp)

Samoyed

PG (1,0) 1 Argyle’s Elygra Ice Precious Moment Not the biggest of girls but in proportion and well balanced. Nice wedge shaped head with flat skull. Lovely expression coming from obliquely set dark eyes. Well set ears. Well laid back shoulders with enough length to body and well angulated rear. Not keen on keeping her tail up today. RBOB

O (1,0) 1 Argyle’s Elygra Ice Poetry in Motion Good head pattern being wedge shaped and with broad flat skull. Well set ears nicely rounded. Correct bite. Well laid back shoulders leading to straight legs with good bone. Deep chest with well sprung ribs. Moved out well. All presented in excellent coat and condition. BOB

German Shepherd Dog

PG (2,0) 1 Fenn & Foster’s Chalksville As If By Magic over Jandeburn Young male of powerful muscled build showing strength all through. Super head in proportion to size with correct proportions. Well set ears carried well. Good strength of upper arm and well laid back shoulder. Correct length og back with deep chest and well formed ribs. Moved out well. BOB 2 Thornton’s Zuberg Storm As feminine as 1 is masculine. Lots to like about this girl including clean cut head with correct bite and nicely shaped eyes. Good lay back of shoulder leading to well formed ribs and short loin. RBOB

Polish Lowland Sheepdog

O (2,1) 1 Burdett-Coutts’ Ch Leon Astarte Gold Ama Me at Chrevle (Imp Pol) BOB Judged this boy as a puppy and he has matured well, I see gaining his title along the way. He is strongly made with a compact body Super masculine head with correct bite. Moved out efficiently and with an effortless gait. To be critical his coat is quite profuse and detracts from his lovely shape.

Belgian Shepherd Sog (Tervueren)

PG (1,0) 1 Mouncey’s Shepherds of Paradise Rich Girl Appealed for shape and type. Elegant bitch with correct head pattern and dark expressive eyes. Well set ears used well. Good reach of neck leading to well laid back shoulders. Square in body combining power and elegance. Moved out well.

BOB

O (2,0) 1 Mouncey’s Shepherds of Paradise Pretty Boy Good head pattern giving an appealing expression. Nicely arched neck leading to correctly shaped body. Good length of leg with distinct withers. Well sprung ribs with straight short back..RBOB 2 Stansbury’s Ch/Hrv Ch Domburg by Appointment at Woodbriar ShCEx Presented a lovely profile standing with good head on parallel planes and dark eye. Well set ears. Straight and deep chest and well sprung ribs. Not as settled as 1 on the move.

Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

PG (2,0) 1 Lees’ Chrishama Ice Diamond for Amenbury Two year old blue merle who outmoved his litter mate in this class. Good head being foxy in shape with correct ears widely set. Kind eye and good pigment. Well laid back shoulder and long strong body with matching rear angulation. RBOB 2 Lees’ Gowerston Gemstone at Amenbury Pretty feminine girl just over a year old. Nice head pattern with nice expression coming from well set eyes. Well laid back shoulder with enough bone.

O (2,0) 1 Lees’ Wildcard Spot Check for Horcrux Mature masculine boy with muscular well developed neck leading to well laid back shoulders. Correct breadth of chest with long and strong body. Tight feet being well padded. Free and easy movement. BOB 2 Lees’ Chrishama Magic Apprentice for Amenbury Another of good type and similar comments as to 1 apply. Masculine with good head, large well set ears giving typical expression. Correct bite. Deep brisket and well sprung ribs. Just not as positive as 1 on the move.

Welsh Corgi (Pembroke)

PG (3,2) 1 Lees’ Rhiew Ravens Royal Tower with Balletcor Black and tan boy. Correct head shape with correct proprotions giving an alert expression. Well set round eyes toning with coat. Good length of neck leading to short straight legs. Strong bone and good balance Moved out well. RBOB

O (2,1) Lees’ Balletcor Godric Grifindor for Horcrux Appealed for type with a foxy head with good width of skull, topped with well set ears giving alert expression. Strong jaw with complete scissor bite. Well laid back shoulders leading to well sprung ribs and broad deep chest. Moved out with a positive stride with power coming from the rear. BOB

Briard

O (4,1) 1 Gardner & Hillier’s Tigra de Los Niegos to Charson (Imp Esp) Beautiful young bitch who took my eye on first moving. Not the biggest, but everything in proportion. Not overdone looking both supple and muscular. Super head with nicely rounded head and strong square muzzle. Good length of neck with arch giving typical breed profile. Matching front and rear angulation which shows in her effortless ground covering movement which secured her the class. BOB and no denying her Pastoral Group 1 – delighted to see that she went on to BIS – congratulations, I have no doubt she has a bright future. 2 Hillier, Rogers & Gardner’s Ch Charson This is Me Certainly no mistaking that this is a boy. Super strong head with correctly set eyes giving a lovely gentle expression. High set ears with good length of hair. Well angulated and laid back front leading to deep broad chest and matching rear. RBOB and my ultimate Best RBOB, he then went on to win RBOB in Show – Congratulations. 3 Sweet’s Arundall Ebony

Well laid back shoulders leading to level topline and correct depth of chest reaching elbows. Presented in good coat. Moved out well. BOB

O (3,1) 1 Dossons’ Leggatts Part Time Lover Norwegian Buhund 11-months old, with compact body and a square outline. Nice balance to body and wedge shaped head. Dark eyes and correctly set erect ears. Elbows tight to body and good depth of chest Well set tail. Moved out well in profile. BOB BP Pastoral Puppy Ggroup Winner and delighted to see him take RBPIS 2 Wetherdens’ Milwyr Iduna Maremma At 7 months of age, plenty of maturing to do for this girl. Nicely shaped head with correct bite and good underjaw. Nicely set ears hanging flat to skull. Nice slope to shoulders leading to good length of body and well let down ribs. Moved out nicely. RBOB
