Puppy (3,1)

1st    Thwaites & Woodward-Thwaites Mr A & Mrs L C. Sireva Rambler (AI). (D).

Masculine & well balanced. Liked his kind eye, deep forechest, spring of rib, reach of neck flowing into well laid back shoulders, firm level topline  & short loin. Has strong bone & very good feet, moved true coming & going, would prefer more length to body. BP.

2nd    Mrs C A Carpenter’s Aschfahl Kepa Secret (B).

Kind eye, moderate stop, correct length of ears with characteristic fold.  Long neck into well placed shoulders, good straight forelegs, well sprung ribs, deep chested, Short coupled showing good muscletone. Metallic sheen to her coat. Lacked a little reach in front & would prefer more length to body.

Graduate (1,0)

1st    Lord & Broomfield Miss K M  & Mr T N. Chilternway Bukeela (B).

Pale grey with a metallic sheen. Well made & balanced, moved with a smooth stride. Liked her kind expression, good length of neck & correct shoulder placement, deep brisket down to her elbows & ribs carried well back to short loin, level topline & correct slope to her croup, well up on her toes. Liked her on the move, went around with an easy & balanced stride. RBOB.

1st    Lord & Broomfield Miss K M  & Mr T N. Chilternway Bukeela (B).

Open (2,0)

A pair of exhibits who both had the required length of back to height ratio that I was looking for.

1st    Dennis Mrs M E Silverweis Sparkler (B).

Showed a feminine strong balanced outline standing, moderate right through. She has the desired amount of bone and substance. Nicely balanced head & kind intelligent expression. Strong clean neck of good length into well laid back shoulders, upper arm of correct length, enough forechest, straight forelegs, sloping pasterns, well sprung ribs carried back to short loin, I especially liked the width of thigh indicating her moderate angulation & muscletone giving her the drive which ultimately gave her this class & BOB.

 2nd    Bishop & Weir Miss J & Mr I  Kalimor Boyscout (D).

Liked him, he presents a balanced picture, nothing overdone & presented in super condition. Correct head proportions & good depth of flew, kind eye, strong through the neck and body, ribs carried well back to short loin. Held a level topline on the move although a bit unsettled which cost him the class.

HANDLING CLASSES 17 – 35 YEARS (4,2)

Two very experienced handlers who I am sure do well.

1st    Phoebe Toublic. English Springer Spaniel. Very good handler, knows how to get the best out of her dog, she was unobtrusive & calm, working hard to get the best from herself & the dog but always with an eye for the judge.

2nd    Abby Bellamy. Flatcoat Retriever. Another very good handler & all of the above mentioned points apply. Today her dog was difficult to keep still although she coped well & was calm throughout.  

ADULT 35 YEARS + (4,0)

1st    Ruth Weller. Welsh Springer Spaniel. Very attentive & calm, moving around to keep her dog in view at all times giving an air of confidence.

2nd    Marie Dennis. Weimaraner. Didn’t take her eye off me the whole time, very competently handled, showed her dog to advantage.

3rd    Mandy Primmer

4th    Paula Carey
