Judge: Jo Hughes (Arunmere) Best Of Breed: Borderrush Rambutan Reserve Best Of Breed: Southash Lavender Blue At Oatberry Best Puppy: Borderrush Beeble Honey Rum I would like to thank Edwinstowe & District CS for their kind invitation for my first judging appointment, also my two stewards who kept the ring running smoothly. I had a very good entry, with quality dogs that could swap places on another day, I’d like to thank all exhibitors for their generous entry. All had good coat texture however some might benefit from tidier presentation to improve their overall outline especially around the feet, movement on the whole was good. Puppy. 3 entries 1 abs 1st (Borderrush Beeble Rum) Raw B&T puppy of just six months, feminine head, good length of neck flowing into level topline, narrowly built with a harsh coat coming in, well padded feet, balanced throughout. Moved well for one this young. Best puppy. 2nd Brumberhill Celebration Another promising puppy of 6 months, she was a little nervous on the table today, pleasing head, keen expression, good bite, neat ears and harsh coat texture, moved ok once settled, just carrying a little more condition than one today. JUNIOR 4 entries 2 abs 1st Flegato Fidelio At Oatberry. Taller type than 2nd, a well balanced dog with a masculine head, good dentition, spannable, with good texture of coat and thick pelt, well muscled, tight well padded feet, level topline & good tail set, good rear angulation, moved well. 2nd Ravenside Play The Game Kersfell JW Exuberant youngster, of good type, masculine head, correct scissor bite, pleasing neck and lay of shoulder, excellent depth and texture of jacket and thick pelt, unfortunately unsettled on the move making it difficult to assess movement today. Post graduate 8 entries 3 abs 1st (Borderrush Rambutan) This girl stood out for me, pleasing for overall type and balance, feminine head with keen expression neat well placed ears, good neck into well laid shoulder, excellent coat texture and pelt, level top line and tail set, good bend of stifle, moved positively. BOB. 2nd (Nottorg Nekesa) Another quality bitch with similar attributes of 1st, handy size, feminine otter head with neat ears, harsh jacket, spanned easily, good tail set & balanced throughout, 1st had the edge on movement today. Open 9 entries 4 abs 1st Lovely workmanlike B&T bitch who excels in type, well balanced throughout without exaggeration, otter head with good ear set, strong neck flowing into level topline, well placed shoulder and upper arm, harsh jacket, good tail set, moved soundly. RBOB 2nd Another lovely example, well constructed blue & tan bitch, pleasing otter head with good dentition dark eye and neat ear, harsh coat and thick pelt, good length of rib, well angulated throughout, moved well, just preferred overall balance of one.
