COLLIE ASSOCIATION

Many thanks to the committee for asking me to judge at their show. It was a friendly show and I really enjoyed my day. I would like to thank all the exhibitors for entering under me and accepting my decisions graciously. Loved how everyone congratulated each other in the class, irrespective of their placings.

SMOOTH COLLIES

VD/B (5,1) A lovely class of veterans all of whom would easily change places on another day. All good movers.

1 Cowling’s KOCZKODAN SERENITY. Almost 8 yrs tri b. Wedge shaped head with dark well placed eye, clean cheeks, good underjaw, correct dentition and well tipped ears. Pleasing expression although she could be a bit more animated. Good front and rear angulations. Deep chest, good reach of neck, strong topline and good length of back in to long tail. Super shape which was confirmed in her strong movement. RBB/BVIB.

2 Benton’s OAKESTELLE ARTEMIS ShCEx. 7 yrs b/m b. Finer than 1. Loved her feminine expression, dark well placed eyes and well used tight earset. Good dentition and enough underjaw. Arched neck in to good shoulder and length of back. Well muscled thighs and neat, tight feet. Strong mover front and rear. Attentive to handler.

3 Lusty’s CH BLAMORDER ICE CREAM DREAM. Almost 8 yrs b/m b. Another quality bitch who was attentive to her handler. Good head planes and underjaw. Well set and used ears. Good reach of neck and well ribbed body. Lovely shape and good harsh coat. Moved well both ways. Just preferred eye and expression of first 2.

4 Moores’ MANORDEIFI BOW REGARD. Almost 8 yrs s/w d. No mistaking he’s a male. Good wedge head, correctly shaped eyes and tipped ears. Good bone and strong neck. Didn’t want to show himself off today and needs to be better placed on the stand to show off his profile. BVD.

1 Howard’s SHULUNE IMPERIAL INKHEART WITH CASATENTOLA. 8 mths b/m d. Masculine young lad. Strong wedge head. Well placed dark eye with good ear carriage and good underjaw. Good depth of chest and strong neck. Well off for bone, good lay of shoulder and length of back. Good bend of stifle and strong mover. BPD/BPIB.

2 Acford’s CONEYPARK MATTIE BROWN. 11 mths s/w d. Nice head and expression. Dark eyes with tight earset. Strong neck, straight legs and neat feet. Would prefer more length of back as he is a good height. Good long tail. Covered the ground easily. Showed really well for his handler.

3 Burton’s GLENCORRIE TYKE VINCENT. 9 mths s/w d. Masculine head. Longer in foreface than 1 and 2. Needs to clear through cheeks, correctly placed, dark eyes, would prefer a touch more tipping to ears. Strong neck and well placed shoulder. Good size and mover.

1 Metcalf’s KOCZKODAN WELL I NEVER. 12 mths tri d. Nice wedge head. Well placed, dark eye and neatly tipped ears with correct ear carriage. Correct front, would prefer a touch more neck. Rich tan colouring against the jet black. Good length of back and long tail. Strong hocks and muscular thighs. Held level topline on the move.

1 Sewell’s WYNELE STRIKE IT RICH TO LEWARNE JW. 20 mths tri d. Best front in the class. Masculine head with correct lines, dark expressive eyes and correctly placed, well used ears. Good reach of neck, good shoulder placement and length of back. Deep chest and well sprung ribs. Long tail and good bend of stifle. Excellent black and tan colouring. Covers the ground easily with good forward reach. BD/BOB.

2 Robertson’s WYNELE STRIKE ONE. 20 mths tri d. Litter brother to 1 and slightly smaller. Good head patterns, nice reach of neck. Well sprung ribs and level topline. Prefer more front reach. Good bend of stifle and well carried tail.

3 Seager’s BLAMORDER MAGIC MAKER WITH FREEJACK JW. 20 mths d. Correct head planes, rounded muzzle, would prefer better eye. Good ear set. Good depth of chest. Powerful front and rear movement.

1 French’s WYNELE DRESSED TO THRILL AT BRECKAMORE. 2.5 yrs tri d. Another quality tricolour. Good harsh black coat. Good head planes with well tipped ears, could be tad tighter. Muscular neck in to well laid shoulder. Good length of back. Well muscled thighs and powerful hocks enabling him to cover the ground effortlessly. RBD.

2 Wensley’s CH CONSTELLA HAZY COSMIC JIVE JW. 2.5 yrs tri d. Better ears and darker eye to 1 although eyes slightly rounder. Good underjaw and well rounded muzzle. Prefer more length of back. Good bend of stifle. Held a good topline.

1 Shorten’s GLENCORRIE STELLA BARK AT BRACOISLA. 9 mths s/w b. Good little show girl. Feminine expression, well placed ears, would prefer more underjaw. More collected on the move than 2 and a better bend of stifle. Nice shape, strong neck, level topline and long tail. Prefer more underjaw. Finer than 2.

2 Lusty’s BLAMORDER THAT’S LUSH. 6 mths s/w b. Promising youngster. A bit over excited today. Better underjaw than 1. Good earset but a bit light. Good mover when she got it together.

1 Lusty’s BLAMORDER DARE TO DREAM. 9 mths tri b. Good underjaw, correct bite and nice expression. Balanced outline with good reach of neck. Great colour, good lengt of back with oval feet. Nice bend of stifle. Single tracking. Very promising girl. BPB.

1 Moores’ BLAMORDER RIDIN ON A RAINBOW TO MANORDEIFI. 6 yrs b. Dark well set eyes. Good underjaw, strong neck in to well angled shoulder. Good bend of stifle. Unfortunately overweight which affected her movement.

1 Benton’s CH BRACKENHAYE QUEEN OF HEARTS OF OAKESTELLE. 4 yrs tri b. Alert to handler. Expressive dark eyes. Well tipped ears and tight earset giving a feminine expression. Good underjaw. Strong neck in to correct shoulders, well angulated front and rear. Excels in rear movement. Good bend of stifle and muscular thighs. BB/RBOB.

2 Moores’ MANORDEIFI BUTTON ROSE. Almost 8 yrs s/w b. Good head planes, nice expressive eyes, prefer more underjaw. Good lay of shoulder and length of back. Good bend of stifle, nice tight oval feet. Outmoved by 1 today.
