My thanks for the society for the invitation to judge the toy group at one of my favourite open shows of the year. For many dogs this was their first show on grass, or certainly the first one this season, sometimes making movement more difficult to assess.
Pug
Post Graduate (3, 1A)
1st Reid’s Bubbapug King of Puddings – smart young dog of 11 months, typical head with large dark round eyes, well balanced body with moderate bone and well angled throughout, moved soundly in all directions, BOB, BPIB, PG2
2nd Kelsall’s Kelbrend Dreamy Duchess – 15 month female, who is smaller throughout with less bone, but she remained well balanced, attractive head with nice eyes and ear set, not as strong on her rear movement as 1.

1st Reid’s Bubbapug Queen of Puddings – 2.5 year old female, correct head with cheeky expression, and dark eyes, good reach to neck and well constructed throughout allowing for correct movement in all directions, RBOB
2nd Kelsall’s Flaikwell Damson Jam – 3.5 year old female, correct head with dark pigment, good neck, slightly longer cast than 1, good turn of stifle.

A quality entry in this breed.

1st Stansbury’s Inixia Sowton Sensation – promising female puppy of 7 months, super head which is well proportioned with high set ears, good reach to neck, leading into a well constructed body with correctly set and carried tail, nice coat coming, and moved with confidence, BP and PG4
2nd Olof’s Tarnock Wiggle Giggle – 7 month male, close up to 1, good here for size and shape, correct bone, typical head with correct ear set and good fringing coming, well angled front and rear, still needs to settle on the move.
3rd Orchard’s Panspayon Royal Romance

1st Orchard’s Panspayon Pennyroyale – 13 month female, well proportioned body of correct ratio, good reach to neck leading into a level topline with well sprung ribs. Lovely head with excellent ears with plenty of fringing. Moved with confidence and in super coat and condition, RBOB.
2nd Stansbury’s Elendil Knights Templar at Inixia – 7 month puppy, correct for overall balance with a well proportioned body which is well constructed throughout, correct head with good eye and dark pigment, slightly more erratic on the move than his kennel mate for BP.
3rd Olof’s Tarnock Pop The Bubbles

1st Orchard’s Panspayon Natasha JW – 2 year old female who I have judged before, she is at the smaller end of the standard but she is so well proportioned with adequate bone for size, correct head with good eyes and well set and furnished ears, well constructed body allowing for the desirable free flowing movement in all directions, BOB and Group 1
2nd Olof’s Tarnock All Eyes On Me – 13 month male, in a larger frame than 1 but still well within the standard, attractive head with large ears, good reach to neck, level topline with a well set and caried tail.

1st Skinner’s Mujerosa Lucky For Me – 13 month male, attractive head with a rounded skull, deep stop with correct muzzle, large dark round eyes, and well set ears, well proportioned body, clean and accurate movement, BOB.
2nd Skinner’s Mujerosa Hats Off To You – 13 month male with a typical head, level topline with well set tail, good rear angulation, slightly longer in body than 1.

1st Skinner’s Mujerosa Bobby’s Heart In Heaven JW – 2 year old male, head ok with large dark round eye, short muzzle and well defined stop, level topline and nice front and rear angulation, slightly longer in body than the winner of PG, RBOB.

1st Poyner’s Mikichi Mini Moon NAF – 7 month, although immature she had the better construction here, level topline and well set tail with correct angulation front and rear, typical head with well set ears. RBOB and BP
2nd Whitton’s Chinatown Mystic Moon – 12 month, slightly longer in body than 1 and still needs to settle in topline, correct head with large round eyes, defined stop and well set ears, good turn of stifle.

1st Poyner’s Anadeia Ovation for Mikichi JW – 23 month male, correct size with appealing overall outline, good bone, good reach to neck leading into a level topline, correct spring to ribs, moved and showed well. BOB.
2nd Whitton’s Chinatown Moonstone – 12 month, typical head with large eyes and correct earset, good neck, tailset correct, slightly longer in body than 1, unsettled on the move today.

1st Johnson’s Moretonia Royal Wren – 2 year old female, typical wedge shaped head with well set and shaped ears, rich tan markings, excellent neck, pleasing for shape, overall proportions and bone, topline correct with well set tail, moved out well, BOB and shortlisted in the group.
2nd Snell’s Moretonia Black And Decker – smart 11 month male who is larger than 1 but so well proportioned throughout, pleasing wedge shaped head with correct eye and rich tan, correct angulation front and rear, slightly unsettled on the move today, BP
Limit (3, 1A)
1st Dicker’s Neerodan Thyme Bomb – 2 year old female, correct in head with good eye and ear placement, dark pigment and rich tan, good reach of neck, body is well proportioned and constructed allowing for correct movement.
2nd Warren’s Neerodan Just In Time – 7 year old male, scores with his typical wedge shaped head and nice eye, good muzzle, high ear set, good reach to neck, topline more level than desirable and tail higher on the move.

1st Snell’s Skin Deep’s Mint Condition (imp Swe) – nearly 2 year old male, loved his head, typical wedge shaped, with correct eye and well set candle shaped ears, rich tan markings, excellent neck, leading into a well constructed body allowing him to move out well, thought he would be my BOB winner but tended to overstretch on the stand today, RBOB.
2nd Dicker’s Moretonia Golden Girl at Neerodan JW – 5 year old female, another nice example, smaller and more compact than 1 but still showing an appealing outline, correct head and ears, good neck leading into correct body, moved ok.

1st Baranzeck’s Capevidles Chinook – smart black and white only just 12 months, really appealed for his overall square and cobby outline, level topline with high set and correctly carried tail, well angled front and rear, typey head with high set ears well fringed, large dark eyes, correct well cushioned muzzle, in lovely coat and condition, BOB and Group 2.
2nd Baranzeck’s Capevidles Lemon Drizzle - 11 month red and white female, correct head with desired expression, good neck, level topline, correct angles front and rear, moved and showed well, RBOB and BP.

2nd Phillips’ Norvanik Gold Charm – 16 month male, well balanced, correct head with well set and carried ears, topline and tailset excellent, and moved well when settled but larger than ideal.

1st French’s Norvanik Rumour Has It At Bincombefarm JW – another lovely example this time a 2 year old female, attractive head with correct expression, well made throughout and moved well in all directions, preferred the coat of the limit winner so RBOB, Best RBOB In Group.
2nd Baranzeck’s Villenelle’s Cream Crush – 6 year old female in beautiful condition, presenting a balanced outline and of a nice size, correct head with well set ears, correct angulation front and rear but a little erratic on the move.

2nd Day’s Immeleon Peppermint Latte In Cubadias – 7 month female, another promising puppy, correct head, excellent for neck and topline with well set and carried tail, well laid shoulder, in good coat for age.
