Midland Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club
Midland Cavalier Club Limit Show 14th April 2024
Thank you to Midland Cavalier Club for the invitation to judge at their limit show, what a lovely atmosphere and hugely welcoming committee. I had the wonderful Richard Cornaby as my steward which I was so grateful for and his company at lunchtime was most enjoyable. Huge thank you to all the members who attended with their lovely dogs for me to go over, especially those who had also attended the double championship show the day before. I love the quote ‘To their virtues ever kind and to their faults a little blind’ and tried to judge in the spirit of it, on the day.
Class 1 Baby puppy D/B
1st Firth’s Cridensa Cortez – Stood alone but this lovely ruby puppy took it all in his stride. Lovely head shape, eyes and pigment , eye catching outline that he held on the move, he strides out with confidence. Silky to the touch coat. Ill watch out for his championship show debut!

1st Leech’s Ouzelwell Ralphie Lauren - This puppy has such great movement and carriage for his age I couldn’t resist him. He is very much in puppy coat but it is silky and well broken. His head needs to develop and I do hope his eyes grow on. He had great ribs for his age and his back end movement was so positive. Ill watch his development with interest.
2nd Loranka’s Star Maker - Black and tan puppy with a good topline, He had beautiful dark eyes and pigment and also had great ribs and a silky coat, just preferred the overall picture of first place.

He has lovely eyes that give way to a gentle expression and great pigment. He has a flattish skull and his head is well developed for his age. He is well constructed with super ribs and topline and he moves out with style. He has good moderate bone and is well bodied and has lovely width to his upper thigh. The presentation and handling was first class which really does put the icing on the cake and I was so pleased to have the opportunity to go over him and was delighted to award him with BP, BD and RBIS
2nd Jackson’s Fortunamajor Perseus - Another quality puppy unlucky to meet 1st today. Tri boy nice overall shape with plenty of heart room. He had a lovely head developing although I do hope his lovely dark eyes grow on. He had good shoulders which were in the minority today and good rear angles. On the move he held his topline and has positive rear movement. He had lovely compact feet and a happy ever wagging tail which showed his typical temperament.
