Boston & District Canine Society.

22nd December 2024.

English Setter.

Puppy (5,1)

1. Welburns Oshowa Just A Dream - Nice size moderate bitch balanced fore and rear, lovely coat of correct colour and texture, delightfully tight feet, moderate length and level topline not as free as 1 on the move but sound and happy. Shown to best advantage BP.

2. Welburns Oshowa Love to Dream – I adored this bitch on the move such a free easy movement, super depth to body and nice bone, super head with oval shape to skull and well off for stop, just not quite as settled as 1 today but suspect they will change places.

Special Yearling (3,1)

1. Goutorbe Wansleydale Beekeeper At Redhara - Upstanding exhibit excellent coat, lovely topline well off for rib, moved very well being tidier in front than 1, level topline, super head complimented by a nice dark eye, really appreciated the depth of colour of the coat here. Got better as the classes went on.

2. White Droveborough Silver Pearl For Paduan - Smaller exhibit not totally showing to best advantage liked her for topline and length of body, scores in upper arm and shoulders and is balanced to the rear, would prefer more stop to complete a promising prospect.

Limit (7,3)

1. Welburn Culverwell Sea Breeze At Oshowa An appealing showy bitch good length, nice bone, lovely long neck, lean in head and correct dentition, good coat, lovely dark eye, liked her for size, topline had a tendency to slope, which was unfortunate, but otherwise much to like. Unlucky in the challenge today, where she was a bit unsettled.

2. Goutorbe Wansleydale Beekeeper At Redhara

Open.

1. Taylor Bumblecorn Ash Of Tattay Upstanding mature male in super condition and well showed, I liked his body size and bone has and appealing head well bent stifles and a good construction to the fore, would prefer a leaner less throaty neck to complete the picture, a little less weight would suit him well. BOB.

2. Goutorbe Wansleydale Beekeeper At Redhara

Curly Coated Retriever.

Puppy (1)

1. Clack, Clack, Battle Hunter & Eddery Krisbos Leonidas With Molokian (IKC) Promising liver prospect, lovely tight curls, wedge shaped head which could be broader in skull but is no way in correct. Appreciated his depth and oval shaped body, fabulous forechest and upper arm, moved very well, excellent temperament, one to watch. BP.

Special Yearling (1,1)

Limit (2,2)

Open (3)

1. Clack, Eddery & Clack Molokain Hocus Pocus Quality bitch of nice size, lovely coat well presented, so balanced, she is slightly longer and her height, fabulous angulation to the fore and rear with a lovely forechest, good head, neat ear and workmanlike and robust with femineity, headed a good class. BOB.

2. Hodson Rowancurl Gentle Gaelor Upstanding male, who got better has he settled, super coat, real depth of an oval chest, liked his level topline and moved very soundly around the big ring, a little more sparkle would go along way.

Flatcoat Retriever.

Puppy (4,1)

1. Jacobs & Reynolds Secret Blue Dress Baseta For Gemswin (IMP LTU) Promising youngster, well off for coat, and depth of chest, good feet, correct head and skull, lovely ear and strong dentition, appreciated the topline and balance here, a please to judge,

2. McQuade Maddhouse Dimonds R’Forever Another lovely youngster unlucky to meet 1 in such good form as many of the same sentiments apply, with 1 just being more settled on the move, excellent bone and lovely dark eye, good neck and moved well.

Special Yearling (4,)

1. Lewin Vynesbrook Ultimate Choice Super quality bitch, lacking a little coat, but what she had was correct, liked to length to height proportions, shown in fabulous hard condition, good feet, very appealing head, won on movement, which was light, free and easy. Very much pushed her kennelmate all the way in the challenge.

2. Hedges Satinbaze Tranquil Sea A stricking exhibit for me I would prefer a touch more length of leg to compliment an otherwise lovely outline scores in forechest and rear angulation worth a class head and expression

Limit (4,3)

1. McQuade Gemswin River of Dreams 3-year-old bitch with a super temperament really lovely head into well made shoulders, super bone and moved very well covering the ring with ease, a touch less weight would complete and otherwise lovely picture, not in the best of coats today sadly.

Open (4,1)

1. Lewin Vynesbrook Deja Bleu Quality bitch shown in super condition, loved her front assemberly, won on her movement, dark eye, tight feet and handled to full advantage, I enjoyed assessing her.

2. Scaife Shennanjoy Walin Miracle Pleasing exhibit in super coat, not as animated today, and tends to look a touch long, but well off for body and a nice size with correct bone, moved well enough just not a purposeful as 1.

Open Stakes (95,70)

1. Davani & Potts Kebulak Plum Pudding – Kerry Blue Terrier. Immacuately presented and handled Kerry shown in spot on condition, coat of correct texture and colour, plenty of body and substance, powered around the large ring making easy work of it.

2. Allsop Aqualite It’s a Miracle – Rough Collie – I was struck by the side gait of this impressive chap, he covered the ring very well and was a pleasure to handle, an abundance of correct coat, I appreciated his head and eye in addition.
