Horley & District Show Society

Horley & District Show Society

Congratulations to Sandie and her team on running this popular bank holiday show, with every breed classified. The increased entry shows that the society is doing plenty right. Thankfully the weather stayed dry, although the wind did nothing for the coated reeds, and some of the short haired breeds didn’t like the cold gusts.

Some interesting line ups for the ‘in show’.

Best in show went to the Tibetan Terrier, Bul Ch Tashi’s Spirit Tiger Lilly at Dolkar. She is square and sturdy. Super head with a lovely expression. Correct angulation, so moved with a lovely stride. Firm topline and well set tail. Liked texture of her coat. Thought her a very correct example of this breed.

RBIS was the Border Terrier, Tulawyn Garretson by Onthill. Liked his proportions and he is a very good mover. Correct head, strong jaw. Well made front and rear. Holds his topline and tail well moving. Just a bit between coats today.

BPIS went to the delightful Finnish Lapphund, Samerajerna’s Zaluda of Morval. Fem in head with the strength required. Liked her proportions. V good front. Ribbed well nack. Level topline. Moderate rear. Such a good mover with an easy stride.

RBPIS the Stafford BT, Sikaistaff Miss Dynamite. She was shown in gleaming hard condition. Liked her head. Super expression. Strong neck. Well bodied. Moved very well, accurate out and back.

Some lovely oldies for best veteran, all a great credit to their owner.

BVIS was the ETT Ch Witchstone Minnehaha. This super lady didn’t seem to notice the cold. Its almost 6 years since I have her a CC and she still looks great. Love her outline and proportions, she is a correct size. Here head, eye and expression are just divine. So well made. In sparkling condition and hard muscle. Correct mover, still love her.

RBVIS went to the Cesky T, Ch Komidion Prima Donna of Sametova. Very typical in outline. Liked her head. Correct neck. Super ribbing. Strong rear. Moved v well, just a bit proud of her tail.
