WELSH SPRINGER SPANIEL

Puppy (2)

1st Graham’s NYLIRAM BORN THIS WAY.

Two super litter brothers in this class and both confident youngsters. My first was really pleasing in head with correct earset and good eye colour. For six months he has the correct body shape and proportions with a good topline, adequate bend of stifle and correct tailset. He really has it all in place to make a top quality dog. BP

2nd Graham’s NYLIRAM EDGE OF GLORY

Lovely head and expression, with well placed shoulders and well balanced when stacked. Not as together on the move as his litter brother but once settled moved soundly, another that should have a bright future.

1st Lewin’s FERNDEL SERENELLA FOR VYNESBROOK

A well put together bitch firmly made throughout. Attractive head of good proportions, adequate neck length, sound in front with well laid shoulders with just enough upperarm. She lacked enthusiasm on the move today and didn’t lift her tail. Shown in gleaming coat of rich colour.

1st Ritchie & Graham’s RENASCENT BLEABERRY AT SLAPESTONES.

A very soundly made bitch, attractive head with adequate stop, dark eye colour and ears of good vine shape. She is well constructed throughout with plenty of bone and substance yet retains femininity. She moved soundly with correct topline. Res BOB

2nd Stevenson’s MYMMSBROOK MATADOR WITH BLYTH

This boy has a most beautiful head with good eye colour and soft expression. When stacked he is well balanced with good length of neck leading into a very sound front assembly. Adequate rear angulation and moves on a powerful gait just carries his tail high on the move.

1st Graham’s SH CH NYLIRAM THE MOTH CATCHER JW

I judged this bitch as a raw youngster and pleased to see she has certainly fulfilled her early promise. She has a pleasing symmetrical outline with correct height to length ratio. Very attractive in head, adequate stop with kind expression. Has correct angulation fore and aft, she moves so well with strong rear action. Pleased to award her BOB and great to see her take Group 1 and then Res BIS, well done.

1st Wakefield’s UNA DES TERRES DE BEAULIEU AVEC NORRISS

A quality youngest, still quite raw. Pleasing head and expression, has good neck length and well made front with correct amount of bone and short in pasterns. Strong hindquarters with good width to thighs. Moved out well driving off strong hocks.

2nd Penneman & Wakefield’s NORRISS NORTHERN DETECTIVE

Pleasing masculine head with heavy brows and a kind expression. He is well constructed in front, has adequate depth and strong over loin with enough rear angulation. Not as together on the move as my winner.

1st McAndrews & Hague’s PRYTANEION LAKHESIS

A well made sturdy bitch with correct body proportions, strong neck, deep in chest, tidy underline. Liked her head proportions, could be tighter in eye lids. Went well with true strong movement to win the class.

1st Graham’s SH CH EALD DANCES WITH WOLVES AMONG NYLIRAM JW ShCEx OSW

A top quality example of this breed, very robust throughout. Correct head proportions with good skull width and ample stop. Good length of neck, well sloped shoulders. He has good depth to chest, well ribbed and has correct leg length. He comes alive on the move, with a powerful and true gait. Shown in excellent coat with correct lighter tipping. BOB and pleased to see him take Group 3.

2nd McAndrews & Hague’s IVCAR SWEET CHARITY OF PRYTANEION

Pleasing in head with good width to skull. Shoulders well laid, with correct depth of chest and has good ribbing. Would prefer more angulation to stifle, however she moved well on a good stride. Res BOB

1st Nichols & Charlesworth-Ironside TAVIROSH PEACH COBBLER.

A well constructed youngster with adequate body length. Correct head proportions, broad with good deep stop and square finish to muzzle. Well sloped shoulders and legs well boned, developing well in body with deep chest and strong hindquarters, just needs to bond with handler on the move. BP

2nd Dronsfield’s KNOCKHALON HOCUS POCUS

A pleasing young lady but very immature. Good shape to head, dark eye with deep enough stop, large well shaped ears. Coat of good silky texture, she had a happy and confident disposition just not as positive in movement as class winner on the day.

1st Dawson’s BESKERBY FLORA FINCHING

A well constructed bitch with good overall balance, still rather immature in body but developing correctly. Good head shape with a clean dark eye, well laid shoulders, front assembly has strength and adequate bone. Well presented silky coat, moving a little close behind today.

Overall well balanced and sound exhibit with a clean outline Very pleasing in head with a good brow and deep stop. Has a strong neck with correct good shoulder placement, well muscled hindquarters and although coat would benefit from some attention, her sound movement won her BOB

1st Moore’s’ FANTASTIC FIELD SHINE LIKE A DIAMOND AT GADHELIC

I thought this young lady very promising, she was so well balanced for her age. Pleasing in head with well defined occiput, correct head proportions with good length to muzzle. She has good depth to chest, strong loin, adequate bend of stifle and had flowing movement for such a youngster BP and Res BOB

1st Hepburn & Laverick’s IRISBEL FROM NOW ON

Pleasing head of correct proportions dark eye with tight eyelids. Strong neck and shoulders of good length. Moved well with correct tail carriage and shown in a glossy black coat. Just needs to bond with handler to give his best.

2nd Shipton’s HEARTWOOD MISHULES ALL IS POSSIBLE WITH CALICO

A well made and soundly constructed black and tan bitch. Well off for bone and substance, with good depth to chest , firm throughout body, level topline with muscular hindquarters. Was lacking drive on the move today.

1st Moores’ SH CH ELGERT SWEET LITTLE LIES ATGADHELIC JW

Loved the feminine head on this bitch she has good eye shape and of correct colour and a lovely expression. Good length of neck leading to well sloped shoulders and has nice depth of forechest. She is a super veteran just approaching ten years, has retained a good coat and condition and moves soundly with drive. The owner has her in great shape for her age a worthy BOB .

I was really drawn to this young tri-colour male with a true breed outline. Very pleasing in head, with square muzzle, strong neck with correct shoulders, well ribbed, strong top-line and firm quarters. Presented in excellent coat and condition and moved so well on an effortless stride My BOB and I understand this gave him his JW, well done.

Feminine in head, with alert expression, correct earset, long and lobular. Presents a lovely outline in profile, well balanced fore and aft, deep in rib and correct slope to topline. So well presented and a true mover, but not the animation of the younger dog. Res BOB

A quality solid liver who is so soundly constructed throughout. He is clean cut in head with correct proportions and nice finish to muzzle. He is slightly rangy at the moment but has elbows tight in and is firm throughout body with correct rear angulation. A lovely sound efficient mover.

2nd Knowles SARAWANDA DRAGONFIRE RISING (Basenji)

Presented a super outline when stacked with a short level back and deep in body, Very pleasing head with neat well placed ears and expressive eyes. So full of character, mischievous yet very stylish, moved true both out and back.

1st Jay’s CH FARMARENS DRUMS OF SPRING AT TALRAZ JW (Bearded Collie)

I was drawn to this top quality dog for his overall sound construction and outline. Balanced in head, liked his pigment, sound front assembly, well off for upperarm. Presented in superb coat and tip top condition. He moves so soundly and effortlessly driving off strong hocks.

2nd Graham & Yarrow SH CH BONAPARTIST PICKPOCKET (Brittany)

One I have given top honours to previously, he is a very soundly constructed dog with correct square outline. Excels in head with lovely expression and dark eye. He is always put down in great condition and moves out well and has a great partnership with his handler.

3rd Fossett CH LOKMADI SAND DOLLAR (Min Smooth haired Dachshund)
