RETRIEVER (FLATCOATED)

PUPPY (5)

1st Mantle’s RHIEWVALLEY AIN’T GUILTY

A pleasing eleven month old dog with a typical well moulded head and bright dark eye. He is well put together with well laid shoulders and already has good depth, well ribbed with firm loin and has moderate rear angulation. Has a lovey coat texture with featherings developing well. An active and confident mover. BP

2nd Blythin’s  ANGELUSPARKS V PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT JULUESVILLE

Another well constructed puppy, giving lots away in age. Clean cut in head of good length and correct earset. Presents a balanced outline with correct angles fore and aft. Needs to tighten up in pasterns, still a raw baby.

JUNIOR (6)

1st Curtis’s TALLISTAR MIDNIGHT BEAUTY

Lovely feminine head of good proportions, correct flat skull with dark eye and soft expression. I found her very soundly constructed throughout, nothing exaggerated with excellent forehand and moderate sweep to stifle. She was sound on the move with correct tail carriage, just needs more furnishings to complete the picture. A well deserved Res BOB.

2nd Hewison’s BENVELLYN MARAKELE INTO CASBLAIDD

Another quality youngster, best of heads, very feminine and well moulded, dark eye and intelligent expression. Good reach of neck, best of shoulders, with deep ribcage and short coupled. She had confident free movement off strong hocks and maintained her topline well.

3rd ANGELUSPARKS V PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT JULUESVILLE

POST-GRADUATE (6)

1st Buckley’s BLACKTOFT BRINDISI BY BUCKLEYHILL

A quality young male, well off for bone and substance and presented a very balanced and clean outline when stacked. Best of heads, well moulded, good width to skull and has a bright intelligent look. Correct forehand, good depth and elbows tight in. He has well developed hindquarters with good thigh width and moved very soundly. Presented in sleek coat and great condition to take BOB.

2nd BENVELLYN MARAKELE INTO CASBLAIDD (repeat)

3rd Prior’s BLACKTOFT AVELINO

LIMIT (4)

1st Prior’s GEMSWIN SHUT UP AND DANCE

Well constructed male, with adequate bone. Pleasing head proportions with intelligent expression. Deep chest and well ribbed with well angulated hindquarters. Not in the best coat today and very erratic on the move as he was full on and giving his handler a hard time.

OPEN (2)

1st Buckley’s STEELRIVER HIT THE BEACH WITH BUCKLEYHILL

A mature and workmanlike dog. Masculine in head without coarseness and kind dark eye. Would prefer him cleaner over shoulders, he is well ribbed and has good depth. Muscular strong rear quarters with correct bend of stifle, Moved out well.

RETRIEVER (CURLY COATED)

PUPPY (4)

1st Clinch’s ROUGHYEDS REGAL FAIRBANKS AT SCHWARZMOOSE

An overall well constructed youngster. Typical in head with correct wedge shape, dark eye, correct earset. She is developing well but I would prefer more body length, solid topline and well ribbed. Adequate rear angulation and tight well arched feet, a steady sound mover.

JUNIOR (2)

1st Mercer & Thomas’s KAHAWEI CATCH THE STARS OVER STORMACRE

Two promising littermates in this class, both puppies, I felt the black bitch had the edge as she is more together at this stage. Very pleasing feminine head of excellent shape and proportions, strong neck that flows into sound front assembly and has adequate bone. Correct depth and firm loin with just enough rear angulation and stands on strong hocks. Good tight crisp coat and the best mover today. Please to award her BOB and BP

2nd James’s KAHAWEI SEA THE STARS

Well grown liver dog who presents a balanced outline with correct angulation.

He has an attractive wedge shaped head with dark eye, pleasing arch to neck and well laid shoulders. He has good length of upperarm and deep in chest. Robust hindquarters with good width to thigh. A confident youngster with sound movement, holds his topline well in profile. Needs a big ring to show himself off to advantage Close decision. Res BOB
