Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society

Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society Wednesday 28th August 2024 held at Forest Edge Arena Swaffham.

A warm welcome was extended to me when I arrived. The day was bright with sunshine, but as the day went on it got very warm in the arena which affected some exhibits more than others.

Greyhound: SpY 1. Ball – Boughton Back in Time – A lovely brindle girl at just turned 1yr. She had a classic hound head with well-shaped oval eyes that will darken given time. Her neck is muscular of good length ample bone, straight legs and compact well knuckled feet to finish. Her topline was muscular with a slight arch over her loin, on the move she had an easy action. Please to award her BoB. SpOD Racing & Coursing 1. Bakewell & Scoles – Affleck Barney Bestest Bud – Fawn brindle – Pleasing eye which was dark and oval. Length of neck into shoulders that were strong and muscular. He had a decent depth to his chest; in outline, he appeared a little square on the stack. He had well-developed muscular hindquarters and the best feet. BV. Sp OB Racing & Coursing 1. Bakewell & Scoles – Nutts Corner – Particularly feminine girl black in lovely condition. Good length to head and strength in muzzle. A strong, well-muscled neck flows into decent front shoulders and straight bone. Firm, broad back, with a strong loin and curvy underline. Moved steadily around the ring. RBoB 

Eurasier: P. 1. Watkins – Albionspitz New Day – this young lady was enjoying her day giving her handler a hard time. While she had a typical spitz head it still needs to finish. Ample length of neck and firm topline nicely sprung ribs and muscular loin. Her feet were tight, oval with enough arch to toes, once settled she moved well. BP O. 1. Watkins – Albionspitz Mercy AJW22 – A nicely mature girl with a correct wedge-shaped head with enough stop and muzzle tapering to a black nose and high set ears of medium triangular size. Well-sprung oval ribs to firm strong loin, slight tuck up. She had good bone throughout and strode out straight and true. BoB. 

AVNSC Utility SpY 1. Davis – Ryuukita Burning Talisman at Kasaishiro (IKC) (Jap Akita Inu) – A little out of coat today. Well-balanced throughout. He had a well-proportioned head with typical expression from oriental-shaped eyes and defined stop. He had a good strong bite with complete clean dentition and black lips. Muscular neck into moderate shoulders and front angulation, and clear marking to his chest which was nicely filled. Ample depth of chest and ribs nicely reaching his muscular loin. His tail was set high with a good curl of his tail. He moved well today with a good strong stride. BoB. 2. Poodle (Toy) – Fry-Lockier – Aftershine Huffle Puff – A white male with the most appealing head and darkest of eyes he was full of attitude. Ample chest and nicely ribbed back to a short loin. On the move, he was free and light. 3. Watkins – Keeshond – Silmoral Kiowa. 

AVNSC Utility O. 1. Davis – Ryuukiat Dabu at Kasasihiro (IKC) (Jap Akita Inu) – Lovely white girl who was bright and alert. Broad skull, well-defined stop. Eyes relatively small and oriental in expression. Typical pigmentation of black eye rims and lips with a flesh colour nose. She had a thick muscular neck with enough crest. Ample bone to legs and slight spring to pasterns. Her ribs had plenty of spring to them. On the move, she drove with clean muscular hindlegs that matched her fore angulation. RBoB 

Utility Group: 1. Brown – Yamakasi for Puplicity - German Spitz (Klein) – This young boy really took my eye he was compact, giving a squarish outline very smart and full of himself. He moved out with a brisk effortless stride. 2. Parker & McDonald – Ch Violis Storm Tracker JW – Mini Schnauzer – Presented in very good order with harsh jacket, plenty of bone, and well-sprung ribs. He was spirited on the move free and powerful. I was nitpicking between these two. 3. Brandrick - Lillinca Bees Bliss (Tibetan Spaniel) 4. Galliford-Keree-Bartolo – Sassyshi Cake by the Ocean with Shirkeira JW (Shih Tzu) 

Utility Group Puppy: 1. Webb – Beaconpride Juniper Berry at Chifido (ChowChow) – A black girl who was short-coupled and balanced throughout. Correct colour to mouth and tongue, dark eyes oval and clean. Small thick ears completed the scowling expression. She stood on small round feet. 2. Saich - Lindcoly Trust in Me (NAF) German Spitz (Mittle) – Pleasing youngster at the start of a bright future. She was confident and outgoing. She had sufficient spring of ribs and moderate tuck-up. 3. Manners – Roopec Just One More (Schipperke) 4. Stocks – Dalmark’s Jubilations at Nospar 

AV Utility Veteran – 1. Thomas – INT Ch Clarmers Talking Mischief with Kelmorespitz Lux Jr Ch BJWLU17 (German Spitz (Mittle)) – A credit to her owner. In super condition in full coat and moved without effort. 2. Manners – Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti (Shipperke) – Lively girl who had a glint in her dark oval-shaped bright eyes. Her coat was dense and harsh with mane and culottes. 3. Wilson – Ch/IR Ch Chadbower Nevan Henli Mit Clynalwin JW BEL/IR JCH CJW18 CW18/19 (Shipperke) litter sisters 4. Saich – IR CH Ch Lincoly Mischief Maker (German Spitz Mittle) .5. Crawford – Silgarhi O’De Chen at Nytechorus (Tibetan Terrier) 

AV Utility SB 1. Tysterman – Carodal Jacobs Ladder (Dalmatian) –A delightful ultra-feminine girl with the gentlest of almond-shaped dark eyes. She had the right amount of bone, and substance and moved out with ease. 2. Neale – Saxtead Toot Sweet at Timarnea – (Tibetan Spaniel) 

AV Utility Puppy: 1. Wallis – Dayporium Waves a Wand (Mini Schnauzer) – Compact and sturdy in excellent harsh coat 2. Brandrick – Giannni Itspetticoattayles Among Lillinca (Tibetan Spaniel) 3. Read – Makificate Wymondham Queen (Dalmatian) 4. Manners – Roopec Keep Up With Me (Schipperke) 

AV Utility O. 1. Collett – Velrok Ringing Gold JW (Tibetan Spaniel) A smart 2yr old in enough coat and lovely hare feet. 2. Wallis- Funflash Rapture of Love for Wallensis (Mini Schnauzer) Good height to length although carrying a little extra today. 

VA Veteran Dog1. Hinchliffe – Pretty Bear Beautiful Bill at Croftdale (Imp Deu) – (Bearded Collie) – In super condition with excellent coat, he moved with a smooth effortless stride. 2. Wilson - Ch/IR Ch Chadbower Nevan Henli Mit Clynalwin JW BEL/IR JCH CJW18 CW18/19 (Shipperke) – Well-sprung ribs and short muscular loin. Her coat was dense and harsh with mane and culottes she moved cleanly with a brisk stride. 3. Masters & Shakeshaft – Doucai’s Show Boy (Chinese Crested) 4. Joyce – Ranchstar Vyvyan (Hungarian Vizsla). 

AV Veteran Bitch 1. Bevis – Ramsgrove Sunshine at Beabeardies (Bearded Collie) – Pleasing feminine girl in good condition. She had a broad flat skull and strong muzzle finished with a large nose. Nicely sprung ribs and good depth of chest. 2. Burchell – Tivalake Temptation HTM Nov EX RL1 EX Retriever (Labrador) 3. Manners – Ch Chadbower Nevaeh Lahetti (Schipperke)  4.Osbourne – Pendarlow Peter Pan With Braego (Spaniel (English Springer)

AV Vintage 1. Masters – Esquimaux Skin Deep (Chinese Crested) 2. Webb – Fletlanders Bill Flynn at Hectson (Retriever Golden) 3. Kennedy – Lirren Blue Gamble at Donbeley (Shetland Sheepdog) 4. Saich – Hocombewood Hot Toddy For Lindcoly (German Spitz Mittle) Judge Janet Kay (KAYTIAN)
