Tyne Wear & Tees Hound Association

Tyne, Wear & Tees Hound Association Open show 8th June 2024 held at Meadowfield Leisure Centre Co. Durham

Bavarian Mountain Hound – SPY 1. Hill – Russdales Adonis – this young man is still learning His show skills. He has a good head with appropriately dark eyes of medium size and oval in shape. Muscular neck of ample length his topline will firm up in time. Enough depth of chest with oval ribs and slight tuck up, good hind angulation with strong oval feet. To finish his coat was dense and close fitting which was deep red deer colour, which was intense over his muzzle and leathers BoB.

Deerhound – SPY – McPherson & Paterson - Antonius Vertragus The-Ngong-Hills (Imp Fra) – I was delight to see this youngster whom I’ve seen before and at 19 months he excels in movement. He needs a little more time to fill out and develop to his full potential but all the building blocks are there. From his typical hound head, good lay of shoulder and straight legs to well knuckled feet, his chest will fill out and deepen given time. His topline was firm with rise of loin and drooping to tail. He won BOB on his movement. 2. Morgan – Greyflax Bracken – A slightly younger and feminine girl. A little more developed with good proportions. She had a lovely feminine head with a dark friendly eye. Her ears were high set and neatly folded, muscular neck, her topline had strength and muscle. She had ample bone throughout. 3. Anderson – Humbiehounds Velvet Tattie.

Irish Wolfhound – SYP – 1. McNulty – Wyldwensley Kes – A brindle male of very good size and still some knuckle left to grow into. Masculine head with oval shaped eyes small rose shaped ears. Ample length of neck with enough depth of chest and clean underline. Slightly unbalanced in profile at this time, but as he continues to develop, he will fill out and be more balanced. PG 1. McNulty – Wyldwensley Kes O. 1. Morris – Hydebeck Golden Gift for Draymorr – Wheaten male of good size. Strong masculine head with lovely rosed ears. Long muscular neck, he has depth of chest, well ribbed back and muscular loin. His angulation gave him a free stride BoB 2. Taylor – Bribasa’s Calamity Jane – Slightly older girl in good harsh coat wheaten in colour. Her oval eyes where in keeping with her coat colour. Strong muscular neck. Ample bone throughout. She had the better feet although not the movement today. Judge Janet Kay
