Hound Club Of East Anglia

Hound Club of East Anglia Open Show Saturday 4th May 2024 Held at Littleport Leisure Centre, Cambridgeshire.

It was a lovely day for an outdoor show as the weather was very kind.

Basenji: O. 1. Tokaji Candy Apple Red at Lelaps – Knight & Stokes – R/W girl of an attractive size. Appealing feminine head with enough wrinkle to forehead, high set ears fine and erect muscular neck with crest into shoulders. Her shoulders were nicely laid back with straight forelegs to small compact feet. Suitably sprung ribs and a clean took up to a defined waist. High tail with sufficient curled and ample shelf. On the move, she had a swinging stride that was long and enduring. BoB 2. Mombatongaempress Eugenie of Cooperland JW (Imp ITA) – Richardson & Wood – Tri-coloured girl. Pleasing head with alert expression. Strong neck of good length with a graceful crest. Firm-level topline and nicely filled chest with ample spring of ribs. On the move, she was swift and positive with an effortless stride. Otterhound. Jr. 1. Olphare Edison – Nelson, Garratt, Lewis – This young dog is very promising although time is needed to be spent with him. He had a masculine head with a nicely domed skull enough stop ending with a large nose. Nicely laidback shoulders and straight strong bone to feet which were of good size and round. Nice chest and spring to ribs. On the move he held his topline and used his rear quarters well he with a free-flowing movement which was a pleasure to see. His coat rough and harsh. Work in Progress. O. 1. Olphare Druid – Nelson – kennel brother who is also a young boy who is maturing well. Masculine head with dark hazel coloured eyes, and his ears were long with a correct fold. His chest was appropriately filled with ample spring of rib. Firm muscular topline and short muscular loin finished with a high set tail. On the move he was sound with a very long stride BoB AV Champ 1. Ch Soletrader Fun Times for Rangali – Allenby – BGVDP Lovely well-sized girl in super condition and correct crisp coat. She is very feminine with her well-shaped skull and clear stop. Her chest was well-filled and deep with her ribs extending well back to her short muscular loin. She drove around the ring full of attitude. 2. Ch Emem Letty Bee Sunshine – Dance – This young lady is so well made from her most appealing head and expression with her dark oval-shaped eyes to her round muscular hind. Her feet are broad and deep and her elbows are tucked neatly under the deepest part of her chest. She had a muscular short loin. On the move, she was strong and positive. I have seen her dressed in a better coat. AV Sp Veteran 1. Woodella Purple Haze Over Cooperland ShCM Vw – Richardson & Wood – Basenji – Nicely made bitch of breed typical. Alert and aristocratic strong topline and a short loin with a good tail set that curl neatly. 2. Ch Zoraden My Girl at Chosovi – Cutter & Lubin – Greyhound – Typical sighthound-shaped head with lovely dark eyes and expression. Ample fill to chest firm topline with suitable curves. In delightful condition which gave her strength on the move. 3. Kurriera Sapphire Queen – Hartley & Cannon – Pharaoh Judge Janet Kay
