German Shorthaired Pointer. PG.(3.1) 1& RBOB No More Cloudy Days (Atkins) 2yr old bitch presenting a balanced outline and feminine head. Enough bone, well angulated fore and rear with good muscle tone. Moved well away but was a little close in front. 2. Kenzduo Lilac Spring (Chidwick). Slightly rangier bitch who was a little overawed today and wouldn’t allow me to go over her. Moved soundly and with animation. O. (1) 1 & BOB Pingarypoint Milk Shake (Whittaker). Workmanlike bitch. Not overdone in any way with correct head and eyes, good neck, shoulders and topline. Well muscled up which showed in her sound and driving action. Gordon Setter. PG(2.2) Open (2.1) 1 BOB When I was Your Man Black Lofty (IMP POL) Masculine with balanced head and dark eye. Correct in forehand with strong bone and shown in good coat. Moved ok. Hungarian Vizsla. G. (3.1)1& BOB, BP. Glenbrows Rouge(Parker & Gist) Compact, balanced 9mth bitch. Good front angulation, depth of body and correct topline. Good bone and tight feet. Moved out well. 2. Vizslanya Domenkos (Challis)Young dog with lots to like. Built on bigger lines than 1 with super head shape and kind eye. Preferred the topline and tail set of 1. PG (3.1) 1.Glenbrows Reminiscent (Gammon)Taller, rangy youngster who needs time to come together. Beautiful head and expressive eye. Good topline and well angulated hindquarters. Moved true and steady. 2. Glenbrows Calamity JW (Parker & Gist) Smaller, more compact bitch. Moved well but preferred head of 1. O. (2) 1 & R BOB Vizslanya Csibe JW (Challis)Lovely head and expression on this 3 yr bitch. Balanced outline with good neck, forequarters and neat feet. Excellent rear angulation and shown in good, hard condition. Coat just a little dark for me. 2. Glenbrows Reminiscent (Gammon) Irish Setter. P. (1)1& BP Henaleas Go West at Teignestuary (Full) 9mth dog with lovely lean head and dark expressive eye. Long neck and firm topline. Well bent stifle and plenty of width in thigh. Movement a little erratic at the moment. SY.(6) 1& RBOB Tiroen Touch of Magic by Settesoli (Imp KCJ)(Russell)Well put together youngster with lovely outline. Masculine but without coarseness. Correct topline and tail set. Well angulated fore and aft and moved soundly. 2. Clonageera Winner Takes All (Aldridge)Mature 16mth dog of a heavier build. Chiselled head with soft expression, deep chest and well sprung ribs. Moved soundly. 3. Covarney Mini Minx (Condron). PG (5.2) 1. Redclyst The Celt(Pike, Pike & Henderson)Typical, racy outline with firm but gently sloping topline and good spring of rib. Elegant head with raised brows and intelligent expression. Moved well., 2. Bluebyeyou Baby Love by Covarney (Condron) Pretty bitch with lean, feminine head and elegant neck. Good angulation and depth of body. Coat is not her fortune. Moved ok. 3. Redclyst Pasha (Henderson & Szwajkowski). L (2) 1& BOB. Covarney It Takes Time with Stourford (Needs) This boy took my eye as he entered the ring. Lovely balanced, masculine outline held on the move. Classic lean head with raised brow and good stop. Nice length of neck leading into sloping topline and good tail set He has substance throughout but not overdone in any way. Well angulated front and rear, ribs well sprung. Moved soundly and with drive. Group 1 and delighted to see him go BIS. 2. Redclyst Pershing (Henderson, Szwajkowski & Pike) Lovely headed dog with dark eyes, raised brows and well set ears. Well sprung ribs and excels in hind angulation. In good coat and condition. O.D. (5.1) 1. Riverbrue Galliano Fizz to Clonageera JW (Rutherford & Judge) Smaller built dog with clean lines and showing good angulation front and rear. Lean, but masculine head and intelligent expression. Plenty of substance, good deep front and well sprung ribs. Moved very soundly. 2. Covarney Paco Rabanne at Stourford (Needs) Mature dog in excellent coat and condition. Balanced outline with good reach of neck, deep body and good angulation. A little proud of his tail on the move. 3. Redclyst Head Full of Dreams(Macdonald). OB (2.1)1. Grenada Lofty Czerwony (Imp Pol) (Henderson & Szwajkowski). Feminine bitch in lovely coat and condtion. Lean head and oval skull. Clean throat and good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good bone, well bent stifles and tight feet. Movement was a little erratic. Pointer PG (5) 1 & RBOB. Tolenas Peony Polly for Wynbury (Bleathman) 12 mth b/w bitch built on smaller lines but balanced with lovely head and dark eye. Excellent shoulders and good length of upper arm. 2. Follypoint Betsy (Guilding & Phillips) L/w bitch with pleasing head and dark eye. Good length of neck and balanced angulation. In hard condition and moved well. 3. Berseydale Straight Flush with Peteshe (Henshaw & Goodchild)BP. O. (2) 1 & BOB Moenfair Sanguineum Luna JW (Tregaskis)Upstanding l/w dog. Balanced outline with correct angulation fore and aft. A little wide in front but moved with drive. 2. Ch. Sharnphilly Vice Versa with Peteshe SGWC (Henshaw & Goodchild) Dog built on rangier lines than 1 but in hard muscular condition which showed in his driving, effortless movement. Flat Coated Retriever PG.(1) 1 & RBOB Montegrino Pied Piper for Saffdales (Mccammick) Promising youngster. Good head, dark eye, correct ear carriage. Good shoulder and lovely bend of stifle, tight feet. Level topline and lovely wagging tail. Moved well. L. (2) 1.& BOB Lussac Yawl of Percuil JW SGWC (Ford) Mature bitch with super angulation fore and aft. Lovely head with dark, expressive eye, level topline, good tailset. Moved soundly with drive and reach. 2. M. Pied Piper for Saffdales O.(1) Llantrussa Tea For Two at Fairwinds (Lewis).Kind head and eye on this mature bitch. Good bone. Level topline but rather proud of her tail. Moved very soundly. Weimaraner SpY (2) 1 & RBOB. Rivertone Aurora over Silbermeer (Jefferies)13 mth bitch with lovely head shape and correct body to height ratio. Good angulation Moved ok. 2. Dartview Formula One (Goord).Lovely masculine head on this dog. Good front, correct topline and tail set. Moved with drive. PG (2.1) Dartview Formula One. O. (2) 1 & BOB, Braefell Goshawk JW (Mutlow)Upstanding dog with a balanced outline of correct proportions. Lovely head and expression, good length of neck into well laid back shoulders. Strong topline and hindquarters and moved with drive. 2. Braithwaite Kiss Me Kate at Silbermeer (Jeffries )Darker bitch, carrying too much weight which spoilt her outline. Obviously enjoying her day out with lovely wagging tail and moved ok. AV Import Gundog O (1) 1 & B Import. Coco Dianell Morava at Covarney (Imp CZE) (Condron) Braque D’Auvergne. Delighted to have the opportunity to go over one of this breed. Totally sound with effortless movement, I’m sure she could work all day. Attractive head with correct proportions, strong bone and enough substance throughout. AVNSC Gundog PG (2) 1 & R AVNSC Oakmarsh Laurel (Blaber) 8 mth Chesapeake. Good head and lovely expression. Typical coat. Moved well. 2. Uccello De La Baronnie De Curvalle Malbecmogs (Imp Fra) (Harvey) 13 mth Sussex with beautiful head and soft expression. Deep in chest and ribs. Moved soundly but without the typical Sussex roll. O. (2)1& B AVNSC. Amberellie Rosanna (Kruglow) Spinone with correct outline, well angulated, deep in rib and moved with drive and purpose . 2. Oakmarsh Laurel Gundog Group – Covarney It Takes Time with Stourford (Irish Setter)- see breed report. Group 2. Albertean Minerva (Small)(Cocker Spaniel) A very merry cocker with tons of personality! Well made head with soft expression. Square body with good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Moved with soundly with purpose. Group 3 . Teignvalley New Beginnings (Hill) (ESS) Attractive b/w 10mth dog with head of good proportions. Lovely balanced outline, clean over the shoulders, good topline and ribs. Well muscled and moved soundly. Group 4. Coco Dianell Morava at Covarney (Imp CZE)(Braque D’Auvergne)- see breed report. Gundog Puppy Group . 1. Albertean Minerva (Cocker Spaniel) – as puppy group. Group 2. Teignvalley New Beginnings ( ESS) – as puppy group. Group 3. Fulvia Just Magic at Jandeburn (Golden Retriever) Soundly moving 11mth dog. Good head and eye. Well off for bone, deep chest, well ribbed and muscular hindquarters. Group 4. Lembas Lucia (Labrador Retriever) Smart yellow with lots to like. Appealing head and dark eye. Well proportioned with level topline and excellent tail set. Didn’t initially want to be gone over but settled enough to show off her attributes and moved soundly with purpose. AV Gundog Puppy (9.1) 1. Teignvalley Rags to Riches (Hill) ESS, Litter sister to P Group2 and many of my remarks also apply to her. Feminine version with gorgeous head and in excellent coat and condition. 2. Putjade Perran By Gwyngala (Main) Golden 6 mth pup showing promise. Pingarypoint Puzzled at Knabynnus (Taylor & Thomas) GSP. Lovely, classic head, good neck into clean shoulders and good angulation fore and rear. Balanced outline. Highforce Future Legend Vizslanya JW ShCEx VW (Challis), 8 year old HV who belies his age. Balanced outline, classic head and dark eye. Correct outline with plenty of substance. Moved around the ring with drive. 2. Redclyst Maximus (Macdonald) Irish Setter shown in superb coat and condition. Beautiful lean head, long, strong neck into well laid back shoulders. Deep chest and well ribbed up. Moved with drive and purpose showing correct tail carriage. 3. Redclyst Boris (Pike)
