I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this well organized and friendly show. I was delighted with the quality of the lovely dogs before me. To the exhibitors for the pleasure of your dogs, and my stewards for keeping in on track all day.

Puppy (8,2)
1. Mrs Hill - Chickenstalk My Princess
Quite taken with this 7 month old Grizzle & tan bitch, she presents a pleasing outline on the stack and full of character. Feminine head, with good width to the back skull, dark inquisitive eye and neat ears. Clean flow to her topline, easy to span, but with depth to the brisket. Strong quarters. Holding her outline on the move – BP & Puppy Group 3
2. Miss Hall - Borderrush Bean And Gone
9 month old Blue & Tan bitch, close up to winner, with much to admire. She has a lovely head, well proportioned, with a dark eye, keen and alert in her demeanour. Easy to span, and narrow all through, good width of thigh. Moving with confidence a little unsettled in front today. In good jacket

13 month old Blue & Tan bitch, who took my eye for her clean outline, which she held both standing and on the move. Typical head, with good width to the skull, strength to the foreface, correct bite. Clean neck flowing into a firm topline and well set on tail. Straight front onto neat feet. Moving out well, shown in a harsh jacket - RBOB
2. Mrs Bullen - Fevstone Cinderella Man
12 month old Blue & Tan dog, who pushed the winner all the way. Presenting a pleasing outline when stood. Masculine head with a lovely dark eye and keen expression. Good length of neck, chest down to the elbow, holding firm topline. Well presented in a harsh jacket

Really liked this 18 month old Grizzle & Tan dog, such an honest dog. Just right for size and balance, just not quite as settled in his topline today which lost him the class . Handsome masculine head, dark inquisitive eyes. Narrow but with good depth, straight forelegs and neat feet. Moving out soundly

Lovely 2 year old Grizzle bitch who was looking on great form. She has an appealing outline and flows from nose to tail. Feminine otter head, with good width to the back skull, dark eye, and neat well placed ears. Good length of neck, with depth to the brisket. Liked her overall bone and substance, but still racy, narrow, and easily spannable. Holding a firm topline, with strong quarters and a carrot tail. Free and positive movement. Presented in super coat and condition – BOB & Group 4
2. Mr & Mrs Jordan-Smith - Jordith Roll Up And Shine JW
Another with much to admire on this 2 year old grizzle dog. He has a clean outline, racy and workmanlike. Masculine otter head, with strength to the foreface, and a dark eye. Reachy neck, good depth with a nice fill in of forechest, but easily spanned. Holding a firm topline both stood and on the move. Today not as tidy in his front action, lovely hind action. Presented with a harsh jacket.

1. Mrs Purvis - Mosspur Moving Shadows
Smart 10 month old red brindle bitch, still quite raw with some maturing to do, but preferred her movement today. She has pleasing overall balance when stood. Feminine head, of good proportions, defined stop, well placed small ears and dark eyes. Good length of neck flowing into a firmly held topline and well set on tail. Liked her hindquarters, with a pleasing width to the thighs which she put to effective use on the move, clean and true in all directions - BP.
2. Felters & Rumens - Landbuck Sabrage
Thought that this 9 month old grey brindle dog was going to be my winner initially, but today let himself down on the move. Stood he present a lovely outline, and so keen and alert. Masculine head, well proportioned, with a good stop, small ears and dark inquisitive eyes. Holding his topline well. Deep in brisket with a good spring to the ribs. Shown in good coat. Today uncoordinated in the rear which also spoilt his outline on the move.

1. Lucas & Tobutt - Seveek Country Lad
Happy and outgoing 3 year old wheaten brindle dog, who today was showing himself off to advantage. He is honest and sound dog, with good overall construction. Masculine head, with good width to the skull, defined stop, strength to the foreface, lovely dark eye with a keen expression. Good length of neck flowing into a firm topline and correct set on of tail. Deep in brisket and well developed in forechest. A double coat with a natural harsh jacket - BOB
2. Mrs Purvis - Mosspur Time And Again
Another very appealing 4 year old wheaten brindle dog, with much to admire. Liked his overall size and shape. Fits the bill for a natural workmanlike cairn. Pleasing head, neat small ears and dark eyes with an alert expression. Lovely spring of rib, not quite the forechest of winner. Holding a firm level topline. Nicely angulated hindquarters. Well presented. A true mover, but not the drive of winner today – RBOB

1. Miss Sleight - Finamor’s Voulez Vous With Bonnybeck
Very appealing 8 month old mustard bitch, who presents a typical outline when stood. Lovely carefree disposition, and the most endearing expression. Nicely balanced feminine head, with those large round dark eyes. Clean neck, deep in brisket, with well boned limbs. Well developed through the body for her age, with the correct unexaggerated topline with a well set on tail. Happy mover - BP

1. Mr & Mrs Russell - Lovelettie Butter Bean To Hawkesmill
13 month old pepper bitch, liked her overall balanced. Nicely proportioned head, with strength to the foreface, lovely clean dark round eyes giving a gentle expression. Good length of neck flowing into a correct topline. carries herself well, at one with her handler, not quite as tidy in her front action, lovely to watch in profile. Well presented with a crisp topcoat.

1. Miss Sleigh - Ch Danchester’s Can You Hear Me Roar For Bonnybeck (Imp Fin)
So much to admire on this 4 year old mustard bitch, full of charm and quality. Such a classy bitch who has beautiful poise and shows herself off with confidence and style. Lovely head, with a good domed backskull, well placed ears, large dark round eyes, finished off with an ample head covering topknot. Strong neck, good depth and forechest. Ribs well sprung, and the holding the correct topline. Standing on well boned limbs. Well presented and moved out on an easy stride with drive – BOB & Group 3
2. Mr & Mrs Russell - Jollygaze Ursula At Hawkesmill (Imp Aus)
Pleasing 20 month old mustard bitch, She has the desired weaselly outline, a little heavier today than winner. Lovely head, nicely balanced with good proportions, and that dandie expression from the large dark eyes. Strong neck, well developed through the body and well boned limbs. Moving out soundly and presented with a correct double coat and crisp outer jacket.

Oh my, what a divine youngster at only 7 month old she stole the show! So smart in outline and oozes confidence. Loved her overall balance and proportions, easily spanned. Feminine head, with a flat skull, correct length of foreface, dark almond eye with a keen and alert expression. Good depth with a good fill in of forechest, holding a firm topline, good sweep of stifle, and well set on tail. Covering the ground on the move. BP & Puppy Group 1 & BPIS
2. Kay & Smith - Jackopeaks Peaches Legacy
Really sweet 6 month old bitch, not quite the confidence of winner as yet, but still enjoying the day. Feminine head, of good proportions, dark eye and pigmentation. Clean neck of good length, holding a firm topline, nice spring to the ribcage and spannable. Just a little unsettled on the move

16 month old dog with a smart overall shape when stood, showing good balance and proportions. Masculine head, flat skull, with defined stop and keen dark eye. Clean and straight front, well sprung ribs, holding a firm topline. Liked his hindquarters, with a good bend of stifle and width of thigh. Moving out with drive and cleanly

1. Thornley & Smith - Dancing In The Dark At Robythorn
2 year old dog who shows himself off with confidence and style. When stood he has a shapely outline and keen and alert to his handler. He has the most endearing expression. Good length of neck flowing into a firm topline. He has depth and forechest, still able to span. Stands on nicely boned limbs and neat feet. Moderate hindquarters and short hock to heel. Stylish on the move in profile, not quite as tidy in front as open winner today. - RBOB
2. Mrs Kay - Jackopeaks This Is Me
4 year old bitch, keen and alert in her demeanour. Head is of good proportions with a dark eye. She has a lovely flow from nose to tail, with a firm level topline and well set on tail. Not quite the overall balance of winner, with a little more spring to the ribs. Holding her outline whilst striding out round the ring

Very smart and stylish 2 year old W/T dog. When stood presents a lovely picture of balance and quality. Liked his overall size and stature. He is sturdy yet lithe. Pleasing head, with a flat skull, neat ears and dark inquisitive eyes. Good length of neck, with a firm topline to a well set on tail. Standing on straight forelegs and neat feet. Easy to span, with the right amount of ribcage. Nothing is overdone. Moving out well, whilst covering the ground – BOB & Group 2
2. Mrs Kay - Blazingjacks Best Mate With Jackopeaks
Appealing 3 year old dog, with a pleasing outline when stood. Masculine head with good proportions, flat skull, neat ears and a keen dark eye. Good length of neck into a firm topline, nice spring to the ribcage and spannable. Straight front onto neat feet. Not quite the hindquarters of winner, but shown in lovely muscle tone and moving out well.

Very smart 13 month old bitch, who showed herself off to advantage. Lovely compact body and nicely balanced in outline. Feminine head, good width to the skull, defined stop, and keen dark eyes with a hint of mischief. Well developed through the body and holding a firm topline ending with a well set on and carried tail. Moved with drive and beautifully presented - BOB

10 month old Gordon setter dog, who has so much promise, but he had his naughty head on today showing lots of character. He has lovely bone and substance, whilst showing a balanced outline. Masculine head, with a dark eye and low set ears giving an appealing expression. Enough depth for his age, good length from hip to hock, and tight feet. Super drive when he puts his mind to it.

Lovely outline on this 18 month old clumber spaniel bitch, she has clean flowing lines. Feminine with strength all through. Pleasing head, well proportioned, with a clean eye. Good length of neck flowing into a firm well held topline. Liked her depth of brisket and development of forechest. Stands on well boned limbs and well rounded feet. Moving soundly and at one with her handler

Super substance on this 15 month old fawn Mastiff dog. Liked his overall proportions of height to length ratios. Strong masculine head, with a dark eye, and large open nostrils. Deep and well developed through the body with ribs carried well back, and holding a good topline. Powerful and driving from the rear.

Moving with good drive, in lovely coat and condition

Super 2 year old workmanlike and masculine GSD, he took my eye as he drove around the ring, with a fluid gait and being so sound. Showed strength in his poise with unexaggerated balance. Masculine head, dark almond shape eye and firm ears. Good length of neck, holding a firm topline, with a good croup and tail set. Lovely depth to the brisket, with a short strong loin. Standing on well boned limbs. Excelled on the move, gaiting freely with precise and powerful strides.

Very smart 3 year old Wire Fox Terrier dog, loved his typical terrier attitude full of character and charm. When stood he is clean and balanced giving a shapely silhouette. Lovely head, long and lean, with small well placed ears and a dark eye giving a keen expression. Good length of neck, brisket is well let down with a short back to a well set on tail. Hindquarter show super drive from the rear, holding his outline in profile. Beautifully presented in a harsh wire jacket

Her outline when stood is compact, sturdy, and standing foursquare showing good overall balance and proportions. Pleasing head, with parallel planes a keen dark eye. Strong neck flowing into a deep body, firm in topline with a well set on tail. Standing on well boned limbs and neat feet. Coarse and abundant jacket. A powerful mover with positive footfall
