I would like to thank the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge at this prestigious and well run show. A huge thank you to my very able stewards Barbara Gentleman and Deb Moughton, who kept the ring running smoothly all day. I want to thank all of the exhibitors for the pleasure of your lovely dogs, I was spoilt for choice, it was a true honour.
Special Veteran Dog (3,1)
1. Loverock & Waldron-Smith - Lovissa Space Dust ShCM
Delightful mid gold dog who is 9 years of age and looking in fine fettle. Upstanding and proud in his outline which is balanced with a good length of leg and good overall proportions. Balanced and masculine head, with a kind dark eye. Strong neck of good length flowing into a firmly held topline. He has super depth and development of forechest. Ribs are well sprung and carried well back. Liked his strong wide thighs. On the move showed good drive with a well carried tail. BVD & RBVIS
2. Mrs Webb - Fletlanders Billy Flynn At Hectson
Another lovely boy, and a real credit to the owner at 10 years old he is in amazing condition, and a true ambassador for the breed. When stood He has lovely body lines, with nothing overdone. Liked his size, substance and masculinity. He has such a melting expression from those dark soulful eyes and dark pigmentation. Well developed through the body with depth and substance. Stands on well boned limbs and tight feet. Moving well, but think he needed a bigger ring to show himself off to advantage.

1. Miss Grainger - Brekswood Gentleman Jack
Oh my, what a sweet babe, just loved him. 7 month old pale dog who presents a well balanced outline when stood. He showed himself off with confidence and style, and full of quality. He has an appealing head, with a good width to the back skull, and strength to the foreface, dark gentle but keen eyes and well placed ears framing his face. Good reach of neck into well placed shoulders. Already with good depth to the brisket and development of forechest. He has a good length of leg and is proportionate in his angulation. A little loose in his action at present, but shows super reach and drive. Well presented and handled. BPD & RBPIS

1. Miss Oughton - Carubelo Live The Dream
Very smart 9 month old pale gold dog, with lots to like and nothing is overdone. He has a shapely outline which has balance and symmetry. Pleasing head shape, nicely chiselled with a gentle dark eye. Clean neck of good length flowing into a firm well held topline. Chest is down to the elbow and well developed in front. Ribs well sprung and carried well back to a short strong loin. Still needing to tighten in front on the move, good drive from the rear. Shown in good coat, and well presented.
2. Mr & Mrs Middleton-Collins - Berrymeade A Fool In Love of Jasperleigh
10 month old mid gold dog, another with a pleasing outline when stood, with good overall balance and proportions. Today just preferring the head of winner. But his head is masculine, with a good length to the foreface and a lovely keen and alert expression. Good length of neck, firm and strong topline, well developed through the body, with depth to the ribcage and a good spring to the ribs. Moved with a ground covering action. Put down in good coat and condition.

Very promising 13 month old cream dog, a real eye catcher, as he has balance, substance and masculinity but nothing is overdone. Having a lovely flow from nose to tail. Handsome chiselled head, with such an appealing expression from his dark eyes. Clean neck of good length, smoothly transitioning into well placed shoulders and a firm well held topline. He has a good return of upper arm with depth and well developed in forechest. Liked his hindquarters, a good bend of stifle and width to the thigh. Moved out purposefully. Presented with a lovely coat.

Smart 22 month old mid gold dog, who has an impressive stature, with a keen and alert demeanour. When stood he shows good overall balance to give a shapely outline. Masculine head, with good ratios of back skull to muzzle which has the desired strength, with a kind dark eye. Strong neck of good length, chest down to the elbow and well developed in front. Good spring to the ribcage and a short strong loin. Well boned limbs, with corresponding angulation fore and aft. Liked his drive on the move it showed real power, a little loose in front and carried his tail a fraction higher. Immaculately presented and sympathetically handled.
2. Mrs Fleet & Webb - Waterbabies Sonic Boom To Eastbury And Hectson (imp Ita)
Most attractive pale 20 month old dog, close up to winner today just preferring the drive on the move of 1st. He is nicely balanced in outline when stood, showing a good length of leg and good body ratios. Liked his head, it is most appealing, with a soft and gentle expression. Good length of neck, into a firm well held topline. Chest is well let down and ribs carried well back. Hindquarters show a good width of thigh. Moved out positively, carried his tail a fraction higher. Presented in good coat and condition.

3 year old mid gold dog, slightly more compact dog but still having overall balance. Masculine all through, with substance and strong bone. He has a balanced head shape, with a good width to the back skull and strength to the foreface, well placed ears, and a dark eye to give a kind expression. Moderate length of neck, depth and spring to the ribcage, holding a firm topline and is short coupled. Liked his hindquarters, they are strong and wide with hock that are squarely set to the floor. Moving out freely

Smart 2 year old cream dog, liked his overall stamp and type when stood. He shows to be of good balance and proportions with a nice flow to his outline. Handsome masculine head, clean cut and nicely chiselled but with a good width to the back skull and strength to the muzzle. His dark eyes and pigmentation give him a soft and gentle expression. Clean but strong neck of good length flowing into well placed shoulders bringing his legs well under him. Chest well let down with a good spring to the ribcage, firm in topline and strong in hindquarters. Moved with drive and width behind to cover the ground well, tending to be a little proud of his tail today . Well presented and handled.

Full of beans and fun, 4 year old darker golden boy. Plenty of character and giving his handler a bit of a challenging time. When he put his sensible head on for a second you could see the potential there. Masculine all through with lovely substance and depth. Balanced head shape with a kind expression. Moderate length of neck, flowing into a well held topline. Lovely bone and strength through the body. Strong and wide quarters. His enthusiasm made his movement a little difficult to assess, but he has drive and a zest for life.

Eye catching 4 year old mid gold dog. Like his overall balance and substance, with a hint of elegance. He is sturdy and well built, but in no way overdone, very harmonious in his proportions. Typical masculine head, with a nice amount of width to the back skull, and a strong muzzle, good stop and showing chiselling. Clean neck of good length which flows uninterrupted into a firm topline. Nicely angulated fore and aft, with a good length of leg. Standing on well boned limbs, with neat feet. Good depth to the brisket and spring to the ribcage, short in the couplings. Strong and hammy quarters, which he put to effective use on the move. He has a smooth and easy gait. BD & BOS

Keen and happy 4 year old mid gold dog. Loved his confident and outgoing demeanour. Liked his overall shape and size, he has a good length of leg to give overall balance. Masculine head, with equal proportions of skull to muzzle, bright and alert eye. Good length of neck, a fraction more moderate in angulation, holds a firm topline, chest is down to the elbow with ribs carried well back. Shown in good muscle tone. A happy mover with good drive

Quality 6 year old mid gold dog, so balanced and unexaggerated. Looked a picture on the stack, He has well balanced body lines and stands foursquare. Liked his head and expression, with chiselling under the eyes and strength to the muzzle and those lovely dark eyes. Moderate length of neck, super depth to the brisket, and development of forechest. He stands on well boned legs and tight cat feet. Topline is firm and level to a well set on and carried tail. Hindquarters show a good bend of stifle and width of thigh, liked his short well let down hocks. Positive on the move and showed his happy demeanour. Presented in good coat. Close decision for top dog, had to settle today for RBD.

4 year old mid gold dog, not quite the overall balance when stood of winner. He has a flowing outline, with good substance and harmonious angulation fore and aft. Well proportioned head, equal lengths of skull to muzzle and a kind dark eye. Good length of neck, flowing into a firm topline. Good depth with the chest well let down and nicely developed forechest, a fraction longer in loin. Well boned limbs and neat feet. Strong and muscular hindquarters. Showed drive on the move. Lovely coat and condition

Happy and outgoing 8 year old mid gold dog. Plenty to admire, as he is soundly constructed with plenty of bone and substance. He has a masculine head, which is well proportioned, would like a fraction more strength all through to it, but his dark eyes and pigmentation give a kind and gentle expression. Strong neck of good length, deep in brisket and the well sprung ribs are carried well back. He holds a firm topline both stood and on the move. In this class showed himself off well on the move, powering around the ring.

Another 8 year old dog in lovely condition, dark gold and of a slightly smaller frame and substance than winner. Liked his overall balance, compact and harmonious in outline. He has a pleasing masculine head, the smattering of grey only adding to the appeal. Good length of neck, chest well let down, forelegs stand straight and tight elbows onto neat cat feet. His topline is level and short in the couplings. In good muscle tone. Not quite the drive of the winner today

Wow, what a superstar, was so very taken with this pale 10 year old bitch. Not a big girl, but oh so very balanced. Sound in her construction and balanced throughout, giving a picture of unexaggerated symmetry. Her age is but a number, which she did not care about as she bounced around like a puppy! Standing she has a lovely flow to her outline. Very feminine head and melting expression. Good length of neck smoothly flowing into a well held topline. She is well developed through the body, with depth and spring to the ribcage, short in the loin. Holding her topline level and firm both standing and on the move. Strong hammy quarters, which she put to effective use to power around the ring. Delighted to award her BVB & BVIS – many congratulations.
2. Harding & Start - Eveninghill Moment To Shine
Just had her 10th birthday, congratulations to the owner for keeping her in such superb condition. Darker gold bitch, with many qualities. Not quite the overall balance of winner. Standing foursquare and attentive to her handler (and food!) Very feminine head with the right amount of width and strength. Dark, ever hopeful eyes with a lovely kind expression. Good length of neck, standing on straight well boned forelegs. Chest well let down, short coupled and with strong quarters. Happy and sound mover

7 month old pale bitch, at the in-between stage at the moment being a little bum high at times, but the basic structure is all there, and will settle with time. Liked her overall shape and balance. Very feminine head, so very proportionate and nicely chiselled with a soft dark eye. Good length of neck, pleasing depth and forechest for one so young. Well boned limbs of a good length to give balance. Well sprung ribcage and a short loin. Topline a little wayward at present, tail well set on and used. Liked her hindquarters wide with a well bent stifle. Moving out well for her age

Very pleasing 8 month old pale bitch, much to admire on her, should mature well. Liked her head, at the right stage for her development, such a soft and gentle expression, the eyes are dark and melting with good pigmentation. She has a nice flow through her neck to her topline. Well developed in forechest and brisket well let down. Ribs are carried well back, just looking a fraction longer at present. Good backend and short hock to heel. Happy mover with drive

She has a very appealing head, nicely balanced, with a dark eye, well placed ears, showing chiselling and a feminine amount of strength. Good length of neck, well developed in brisket and forechest, with a strong short loin. She stands with a lovely straight forelegs, with quality bone onto tight cat feet. Level in her topline and carries her tail as a continuation. Liked her width of thigh, and low set hocks. Moved with enthusiasm and drive, a little lose behind at present, lovely and clean in her front action. Put down in lovely coat and condition – BPB & BPIS

Liked her feminine outline, she has substance with a hint of elegance to portray a shapely profile. Lovely head, of good proportions and the desired amount of strength, soft and gentle expression. Clean neck of good length seamlessly flowing into her firm topline, ample depth to the brisket and well sprung ribcage. Used her hindquarters to advantage to drive around the ring, with a good tail carriage. Well presented.

Lovely outline on this 16 month old pale bitch, thought she may take the class, but seemed a little unsettled on the move today. Still looking a little raw at present, but she has a good structure to fill into. Liked her overall size and shape, with nothing overdone. Lovely head and melting expression. Good length of neck, holding a firm topline, she is well developed in front with a good forechest and well sprung ribs which are carried well back to a short strong loin. Strong hindquarters with a wide thigh and good sweep of stifle. Just needed her to settle on the move.

Lovely flowing outline on this mid gold bitch who is coming up 2 years of age. Everything is in the right place, and she looks a picture of balance when stacked. Liked her head, very proportionate and feminine, with a good width to the back skull and strength to the muzzle, dark kind expressive eyes. Clean neck of good length flowing into a firm level topline. Ribs are well sprung and carried well back to give a strong short loin. Her stifles are well bent and have good width to the thighs. Showed herself off when moving in profile, holding her shape with an ever wagging tail.
2. Mrs Stonebridge - Toseland Lyric
Pale cream bitch just shy of her 2nd birthday. She has a little more range to her outline than winner, but still has lovely balance and shows good body proportions. Balanced and pretty head, there is no mistaking her gender, she is very feminine, dark eyes and pigmentation giving a soft and gentle expression. Lengthy neck into a firm topline, good depth to the brisket, ribs well sprung just a tad longer in loin. Strength and width to her quarters, with well let down hocks. OK on the move a little close behind.

Reachy neck into a firm level topline and well set on tail. Her chest is well let down and has a good developed in forechest. Ribs show a good spring and are carried back to a short strong loin. Moving out well fore and aft

Loved the outgoing attitude of this nearly 2 year old cream bitch. She is so keen and alert to her handler, but in her enthusiasm, made her lose her topline at times. When settled she shows to have a pleasing outline, with balanced proportions giving a shapely profile. Delightful keen expression. Clean neck of good length, not quite the development in front of winner, but she has a straight forelegs onto neat feet and good depth. Well bodied with a pleasing spring to the ribcage. Liked her strong wide quarters, which were wiggling about from her ever wagging tail. Moved with enthusiasm and drive.

Super 2 year old pale bitch, who presents a lovely outline when stood. She has beautiful lines, balance and construction. Quality feminine head, equal in its proportions, right amount of width to the back skull, and she has such a melting expression from those dark eyes and black pigmentation. Long clean neck flows into her well placed shoulders continuing to a firm and well held topline. Standing on well boned limbs and onto neat tight feet. Strong and wide hindquarters and short hock to heel. She has a free and easy side gait, whilst holding her outline with the correct tail carriage. Striding out in the challenge to win RBB & RBIS

Pleasing outline on this 2 year old cream bitch, with many qualities to admire. Liked her overall balance and shapely outline. She is very feminine combined with strength and substance. Clean cut head, with the desired chiselling, with a dark eye and pigmentation. Having a nice flow from nose to tail, with a good reach of neck, depth to the brisket and good forechest. Lovely bone to the limbs and tight cat feet. Her body is well developed with a good ribcage and short loin. Strong and muscular hindquarters. Moving out cleanly not quite the drive of winner today.

Loved her. At just 2 years of age, this mid gold bitch took my eye. She has super balance, and a shapely silhouette when stood. Standing fore square and harmonious in her angulation with beautiful poise, she flows from nose to tail. Feminine head, of good proportions, strength to the foreface, dark kind expressive eyes. Clean neck of good length flowing into a firm and well held topline, with a tail carried straight off the back. She is well developed though the body, with a deep brisket and good forechest, ribs carried well back leading to strong wide quarters. She has a ground covering gait, with a lightness to her step, and working well with her handler to show reach and drive. Beautifully presented and handled. Delighted to award her BB & BIS

Lovely overall balance on this 21 month old bitch, she has elegance yet the desire amount of substance, not quite the finish as yet of the winner. So very pretty, her head is balanced with good proportions, right amount of chiselling and a soft gentle expression from her dark eyes. Clean neck of good length, deep in chest which is down to the elbow, and elbows neat and tight to the body. Standing on good legs and feet. Well developed through the body, a fraction longer in loin. Strong quarters which she used well on the move to drive around the ring.

3 year old, mid gold bitch, who has a lovely compact outline, all in moderation nothing is overdone. She has an appealing head, so feminine, with a good width to the back skull, well defined stop, showing chiselling under the eyes which are dark and soulful. Moderate length of neck flowing tidily into a firm level topline. She has super depth to the brisket and well filled in in-front. The ribs are carried well back to a short loin. Her hindquarters have a good bend of stifle. Keeping her outline in profile, but a little untidy in front action today. Well presented with a good coat
2. Mrs King - Pajula Little Miss Princess
3 year old bitch, with a lovely rich golden coat. Not quite the overall balance of winner being a little longer cast. Feminine head, with a good length to the foreface, nicely chiselled and with a kind dark eye. Clean neck of good length flowing seamlessly into a well held firm topline. Brisket is down to the elbow and the ribs are carried well back. Hindquarters show a good bend of stifle. Preferred her fore and aft movement and it was clean and true, but unfortunately not showing the drive today.

Classy and quality 5 year old mid gold bitch. Very much liked her overall shape and stamp, as she stands foursquare in profile. Thought her to be very balanced in outline with graceful body lines. Working well with her handler, as she is keen and alert to show herself with style. Classic head with a sweet expression. Strong neck of good length smoothly flowing into a firm, level and well held topline. She has depth right through the body, with good ribbing and super bone. Loved her hindquarters, strong and hammy. Sound and true on the move. One I shortlisted in the final challenge, close up for top awards.
