Welsh Springer Spaniel

L (1,0) 1st Dimond, White & Boumontes’ Roxdale Premier Rose, 10½ months bitch, feminine head with kind dark eyes & correct bite, balanced outline with good length of neck, correct lay of shoulder, lovely bend of stifle, correct rise over loin, well-muscled, beginning to come together nicely, moved well, a happy & outgoing pup with super temperament, BP.

OD (1,0) 1st Attwoods’ Ir ShCh Kylowen Drym ShCM ShCEx, Ir VetCh, 9-year-old lad of good balance with plenty of bone, kind masculine head with correct scissor bite, strong neck of good length leading into a good front assembly, deep in brisket with good spring of rib, correct rise over the loin, good bend of stifle, well let down hocks, well-muscled, to be super critical; less coat would enhance him greatly, did not move as well as I’ve seen him before but with a change of handler; made a good account of himself later in the day, BOB.

OB (6,4abs) 1st Dimond, White & Boumontes’ Roxdale Moody Blue, pretty girl of 17 months, longer cast with good angulation fore & aft, lovely depth of chest with spring of rib developing nicely, tight at elbow, best of feet, shown in super hard condition, moved well with plenty of reach & drive, a happy & out going girl with an ever wagging tail, just preferred the balance of the OD in the challenge, RBOB, 2nd Attwoods’ Kylowen Demelza, VW, Ir VetCh, pretty nine year old balanced lady who denies her age, good overall balance & moved well, just tends to lose her topline in the stack.

English Springer Spaniel

PG (2,1abs) 1st Hills’ Teignvalley New Beginnings, 7-month b & w male, striking young lad with good balance throughout, loved his head proportions & expression, correct scissor bite, when settled moved well covering the ground with super footfall, stood on the best of feet, put down in hard condition for one so young & turned out to perfection, my notes say ‘wow! what a cracker’, one to watch, wish he was mine! BOB, BP & PG3.

O (2,1abs) 1st Hills’ Dexbenella Double Trouble At Teignvalley, l & w male at nearly 3, super head & kind eye, balanced lad who was presented to perfection, he has many attributes of his kennel mate from the previous class but couldn’t outclass him today, RBOB.

Cocker Spaniel

P (3,0). A class of Blue Roans - 1st Masters & Dotts’ Manchela Polyanna, nearly 11 months, very pretty headed young lady with the kindest of expressions, correct bite, she has a lovely cobby body with good spring of rib & short in the loin, well rounded hindquarters which enabled her to move well once settled, good bone & super feet, in the best of coats, first class presentation, an easy winner, BOB, BP, G3 & PG1, well done. 2nd Smalls’ Albertean Minerva, another pretty, well balanced bitch with good slope to shoulder, good coat, bone & tidy feet, moved well, 3rd Heards’ Albertean Aletheia.

PG (3,0) 1st Newsteads’ Alisma Annabelle, b/r bitch, well developed feminine head, moderate body proportions with good bone, moved ok with correct tail carriage, RBOB, 2nd Brintons’ Eddeswarren Ruby Slippers, b & t, 12½ months, balanced shown in good coat & condition, would prefer a slightly shorter muzzle, moved well, 3rd Defuycks’ Bruxly Crowning Glory.

L (2,1abs) 1st Brintons’ Eddeswarren Ruby Slippers, 2nd in PG.

O (1,0) 1st Defuycks’ Hardd Haf Blodyn Oleuni, b of just under 3 years, shown in profuse coat & carrying too much weight today.

American Cocker Spaniel

PG (2,1abs) 1st Reed & Reeds’ Furian Morning Star, black male of 9 months, super balanced skull with an intelligent eye, strong jaw with correct bite, long neck leading into good sloping shoulders, tight at elbow, deep chest with good spring of rib, hindquarters strong with hocks well let down, superb muscle tone which enabled him to propel himself effortlessly, well presented in good coat & condition BOB & BP.

O (3,2abs) 1st Reed & Reeds’ Jaclee Trails Of Gold Over Furian, 3-year-old buff bitch, dam of PG winner, very feminine headed & similar remarks apply, moved with grace & power, another well-presented exhibit, would just prefer a little more of her, RBOB.

Field Spaniel

PG (4,1abs) 1st Willcocks’ Ustorpabyns Fields First Time To Dynarkaraky (Imp Swe), 20 month liver lad with a noble head, kind expression & correct scissor bite, good length of neck leading into a lovely front assembly & tight in elbow, deep chest & correct length of rib, strong back & loin, stood on the best of feet, moved with purpose showing good driving action from the rear, presented in lovely coat & condition, BOB, 2nd Hardings’ Kingsmist Remember Me JW, pleasant headed liver male, good angles throughout, moved well, preferred the overall balance of winner, 3rd Porters’ Kingsmist Agatha Christie At Winsbrook.

O (5,2abs) 1st Hardings’ Kingsmist Miss Marple JW, black bitch with a truly feminine head with dark eye of correct shape, balanced outline, deep in chest with good angles fore & aft, moved well, not in her best dress today, RBOB, 2nd Willcocks’ Slo/NL/BE/Int Ch Dynarkaraky Deuces Are Wild, liver, another pretty headed bitch, good length of neck leading into a good front assembly, however she presents a slightly longer frame that the winner, 3rd Porter, Russell & Palms’ Bogdogs Brynnyth At Winsbrook.

Italian Spinone

PG (1,0abs) 1st Mortimers’ Scodinzolare Photoulla, 2½ year old b/r bitch, very feminine head with correct bite, good body proportions throughout, correct coat texture, moved ok, RBOB.

O (5,1abs) Smiths’ Sosteli Saxon, 4-year old b/r, superb head on this lad with a cheeky expression, he presents a strong balanced outline with plenty of bone & well-muscled, good course coat, stood on strong legs & good feet, moved with an easy gait & powered around the ring, BOB, 2nd Mortimers’ Scodinzolare Philomen, white & orange bitch, balance throughout, unsettled today but moved well, 3rd Moores’ Scodinzolare Picil.
