Many thanks to the Society Committee for asking me to judge. I was well looked after and enjoyed the day.

Puppy 1/1

Yearling 4/2

1st Phillips Mr G & Mrs E L – Bushwacker Donnie Darko almost 14m Orange roan d. Well balanced promising youngster. Excellent bone and overall shape. Noble head with classic proportions, divergent planes and good big spongy nose. Aristocratic with a softly expressive eye. Super ear leathers fine and supple. Angulation all good shoulders and hindquarters and good length of rib. Lovely movement, easy ground covering, typical Bracco, powerful strides. BOB

2nd Worgan Mrs A – Piccorino Peperoncina 16m Orange Roan b. Feminine but noble & strong head. Good proportions, good length of rib and excellent bone. At the moment I think she’s going through a growing phase, so not quite the balance of the dog or forechest, but she shows a lot of promise, and she moved well. Both dogs had lovely tight good size feet. RBOB

1st Peebles Mrs S & Mr K – Seasham Too Much Heaven 11m Liver & White ticked b. What a neat package she presents. Very balanced, smooth outlines, moving with reach covering the ground effortlessly.

Correct head proportions and eye shape with well set fine quality leathers. Excellent spring and length of rib, nicely tucked in elbows and good rear angulation. Both this puppy and the BOB are very appealing.

2nd Angus Mrs L – Edelmidpoint Silhouette For Sparkenhoe 6 m on the day black & white ticked b. A different type to 1 but lots to like. Very pretty head of good proportions and well-shaped eye with nice leathers. Slightly longer in the body but good length of rib and well angulated both fore and aft. Incredibly well behaved and very well handled for a first show. One to watch.

1st Taylor Mrs L – Valger Tamara 1y Liver & white ticked b. Very nice youngster just leaving puppyhood and looking like a promising adult. Loved the noble head proportions, good length of muzzle and skull and nicely folded leathers. Strong neck and good shoulders. Lovely flowing outline and excellent hindquarters. Another quality representation of the breed.

1st Wilson Miss L – Seasham How Deep is your Love liver & white ticked 11m b. Sister to the best puppy. Very nice head proportions and length of neck. Lovely flowing outline. At the moment I think going through a growth spurt as her legs are ahead of the rest. However, the length of rib and angulation and forechest are all there so another promising youngster.

1st Brown & Filby Ms A & Mr C – Sh Ch Winterwell Thatlldo for Desjiem JW – liver & white ticked 4y b. I judged this girl as a puppy and loved her then and she has turned out so well. I wrote then “Ticks every box from the tip of her nose to her wagging tail.” Super head piece. Correct muzzle to skull ratio and lovey eye shape with fine well set leathers. Lovely slightly arched neck going into well laid shoulders and excellent upper arm with tucked in elbows, straight front good feet. Good length of well sprung rib and short strong loin and nice broad back end. Moves out with ease covering the ground well. Such a super dog. BOB and BIS well done!

2nd Adams Mrs L – Tequesta Poldark JW 18m liver & white ticked d.

Smart upstanding youngster. Full of energy and confidence. Good head proportions aristocratic but kind expression. Nice strong clean neck and good depth of chest. Muscled and fit dog but nothing overdone. Good ground covering mover. RBOB

1st James Mrs KA – Sh Ch Inostricani Fianna White & orange 5y b.

Lovely feminine quality bitch. Solid well boned but totally female. Excellent head proportions and eye shape and ear set. Well-furnished brows and beard. Strong but not stuffy neck into super well laid shoulders and long rib cage into broad strong loin. Good strong hindquarters and well-turned stifles. Nice relaxed yet powerful movement. Delighted to award BOB and I heard G3 well done.

2nd Robinson Mrs G – Sh Ch Gradevole Strufolli 4y brown roan d.

Laid back masculine male. Well off for bone and good shoulders and hindquarters. Just preferred the head and movement of the bitch today.

1st Westway & Eldridge Ms P & Mrs PA - Bradgate Yours Truly 11m L&W d well boned upstanding balanced dog. Good head proportions, nothing overdone or coarse but very masculine. Very nice tight feet. Moved out and back well covering the ground well in profile. BP

2nd O’Neill Mrs C Tenshilling Shboom – 10m B7W d Very nice type from this good quality kennel. Smaller and more sprung in the ribs with a strong front and a good rear with wide muscular thighs. Good head properties. Nicely balanced and moved well but was distracted looking for his owner rather than being with the runner who did a good job nevertheless.

1st Adams Mr K – Joneva Just One Wish 13m O&W b Once settled she was the best mover in the class. Very feminine classic head piece. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Good depth of chest and well sprung ribs going right back. Her femininity belies her muscle condition and power. Really everything is just right. RBOB

2nd Clinton Mrs L – Hawkfield Happy Feet at Oramiss 13m O&W d I really liked everything about this dog. Kind happy disposition with good quality work in his head. Nice flow from neck to tail. I would just like a bit more of him.

1st O’Neill Mrs C - Tenshilling To Sir With Love JW 2 ½ yo O&W Again very nice type from this kennel with a good overall balance and size.

Head proportions all good and fine quality ear leathers. Just wasn’t happy on the move, again difficult to judge when they really want to be with the owner. One to watch.

1st Adams Mrs L – Carofel Wings Of Hope JW WW23 Swiss JCH 2yo O&W d Well balanced smooth lines elegant yet powerful dog. Very nice classic head with correct proportions and fine ear leathers. Lovely shoulders and front good long ribs and strong hindquarters but nothing heavy or out of place. Lovely tight feet and good tailset. Moved effortlessly with drive covering the ground well. Delighted to award BOB

2nd Oliver & Stilgoe Miss ME Mr PR & Mrs DE – Teisgol Love Is In The Air 4yo O&W d Different type to 1 but a really good example of the breed. Smaller in height but a powerful body with good angulation and a deep brisket. Different type of head to 1 but equally as appealing and correct. Very hard to choose between the 2. A matter of splitting hairs.
